Chapter 9:

Chapter 9: Magical Girl Operation Arcadia

WholeSum

Mariya looked over all the guild items they had acquired through their time in the tower. Along the way, they had managed to recruit new members for the guild until they had a total of nine members. With a smile, Mariya waved her hand and brought up the menu and showed a full version of the world map for everyone to see.

“As all of you know, this is the world map. Here, in the city of Arcadia, is where the guild, Dawn’s Horizon, is located. Our goal is simple.”

The room was silent for a moment as everyone waited for what Mariya was going to say next – hanging onto each word by a thread.

“We kill them,” Mariya said with a cheerful.

A yell howl echoed throughout the main guild room as the others stood there in shock.

“I’m okay with that,” Himorogi said nonchalantly.

“Likewise,” Scyilia agreed.

Yara quickly stood up onto the small raised flooring that Mariya was standing on.

“Wait, wait, wait… Did you guys even hear what she said?”

Everyone nodded once.

“She’s going to kill people!”

“And?” Himorogi asked.

“That’s murder!”

“And?” Scyilia replied.

“What the hell is wrong with all of you? Murdering people is wrong.”

Wolfy reverted to his human form and stood beside his sister. He could only giggled at Yara’s failed attempts to understand why they others were okay with killing.

“Don’t you guys care that these two siblings are psychopathic murders?”

“Actually, Yara, I’m a psychopath,” Wolfy said with a calm voice and cheerful expression.

“Whatever you sister complex wolf, you—”

Before Yara could finish her sentence, she felt the force of a steel fist connecting with her jaw and knocking her back into the stone wall. Taking a moment to process what had happened, Yara noticed her health was down to one. Standing over her was Mariya with a sadistically cheerful expression on her face.

“Please say that one more time, Yara.”

“…”

“Good girl. Anyone else care to voice their opinions about my older brother?”

“Uh, you cool if I said he was cute?” Himorogi asked.

Mariya turned to Wolfy.

“What do you think, nii?”

Wolfy scratched the back of his head and smiled.

“I mean, I’m flattered but this is just and avatar I created. In the real world I’m pretty ugly to—”

“Magical girl wholesome hug attack!”

Before he could finish his sentence, Wolfy felt his sister embrace him tightly.

“No more negative nii!”

“But sis—”

“No negative nii!”

“But—”

“Sin ser negativo, hermano mayor.”

Wolfy sighed and then smiled as he placed his hand on his sister’s head and patted her gently.

“No idea what you said but okay.”

“Good, now let’s get back to the plan.”

Mariya stared at the other members, her expression was now serious and it was clear she was no longer joking.

“In exactly one week we will take down Dawn’s Horizon until the guild is under our control. We will become the only guild in this world and I will create a new place for all of us.”

“Nine of us against a guild of, what, like one thousand or so people? I’m down for a good fight,” Himorogi said.

“Same here,” Scyilia agreed.

The others agreed in unison.

“I’m against this,” Yara said as she stood to her feet.

Mariya turned to Yara and smiled. Wrapping her arms around Yara, she looked to the others.

“We’re done here everyone, feel free to go about your days until the operation.”

Without another word, everyone left the guild room aside from Wolfy. Yara’s body trembled as she heard Mariya’s voice whisper softly in her ear.

“As for you, we should have a nice little chat in the guild master’s bedroom.”
