Ambushed (Part 2)

Marco still hurt from the fall damage. Aily is losing her composure, she's scared of an opponent that she couldn't sense, not only that, she's also low on mana energy. Her sister, Nina, panting immensely, she suffered from critical mana energy left in her body. She could hardly cast anymore magic, which means no healing or retaliation by magic...

“Shoot, this is my fault. I failed to read the situation fast. I must turn the tide, somehow...” Marco thought to himself as he holds his shoulder.

“HUH?!” Marco heard another chain clattering... “Shite, he'll beat us if we don't do something, I still have plenty mana energy left, but I'm not sure if it's enough or not...”

“Wait a minute. The sound of chain clattering...”

*DING!

Among the grave situation, Marco suddenly got an idea.

"Nina, Aily, run along now! You two must regain mana energy quick. I’ll lure him off!" Marco stated to the two girls.

"W-What are you saying?! You... guhah… want us to leave you here?!" Nina gasped amidst talking, she's not gonna hold out much longer.

"There's no time left, trust me, go! Go now!" Marco yelled. He then comes closer to Aily and grabbed her hand.

"Aily, take your sister as far as possible... OK? I'll catch up with you two later... I promise," Marco stated surely.

Aily nodded and then grabs her sister and puts her arm around her shoulder, "Promise? You'll return back to us?" She pleaded Marco with a sorrow look on her face. "I promise, now go!"

"Fine then… guh… hah… we trust you, Marco," Nina accepted while gasping shortly. The two girls then start going away from the death zone.

“Chains... I wonder if it'll work...” Marco thought. “Gaah! Enough doubting, I won't know unless I try it out myself!” He added to himself.

He then clapped his hands once in front of his chest, upon unleashing, appears a yellow magic circle with jolts around it.

“Shocker Ha—huh?!” Marco’s pupil shrunk in shock.

*WAFOOSH! *WAFOOSH!

A dozen of fast wind cutters suddenly shoved Marco before he finishes casting, thus cancelling his magic. Five cutters went past him and in an instance slashed Aily's back.

"AAAAAGH!" Aily screams in pain, Nina who was beside her, didn’t get hit by the wind cutters because Aily knocked her to the ground to provide cover. She realized that the wind cutters are approaching fast and Aily made a fast decision... that cost her being critically damaged. Nina looked desperately at her damaged sister, "A-Aily! H-Hang on... I'll... I'll heal you!"

"N-No... *cough* y-you can't do that..." Aily's voice cramped up because of the severe pain from her back. Blood drenches off her body, soaking the grass red.

"Hmph… dare you humans fight against an adversary that goes beyond the limiter?" Ordan states arrogantly as he swings around his emerald axes.

"Even a fool knows whether they're capable or not. Why wouldn't you?" Ordan said as he catched his axes.

"This is the result of fighting against a native creature like me... this island is mine alone to control. Your ancestors slaughtered all of us minotaurs in the past, but now suddenly you praised me like a god and asked me for protection? After all you've done... there's no room of forgiveness, I shall wipe you humans off this island," Ordan spoke boldly as he gets closer to Marco.

“Shhhh…. Haaaaaaah….”

He breathed heavily again. "The Cyclone Cutters of mine have evolved onto greater heights... your magic defense won't be able to stop it no matter what!"

Nina then hugged her sister tightly, at first she got reluctant after Aily denied her intention. But slowly, Nina changes her mind. Shortly, a shining light irradiated from her hand. She looked at Marco who got knocked back onto a tree and at her sister who lost consciousness after getting slashed on her back.

An eye-tear falls down, she gathers all the energy she hurls every last mana energy she has left to save everyone.

*ZRRRRRT

Nina's mana energy has lowered down to zero. "N-Not enough...!" She keeps on going despite her zero mana energy, in a matter of seconds, she'll collapse.

Blood begins to flow out of her veins... she’s pushing herself off her limit, but she didn't back down, she quickly raises her right hand high in the sky, Ordan knows that she's trying to cast another magic once more, but Ordan knows that it's of no use, she'll kill herself that way.

“Grgh… Greater... HEAL!!!”

A light emits brightly from her hands, a soothing light falls upon the nearly fallen party. Marco regained his consciousness, he quickly picked himself up. Aily's torn back has been healed back to normal, but she didn't regain consciousness due to major loss of blood.

"I... rely on you... Marco... ugh..."

Nina has collapsed.

"I-Impossible!" Ordan couldn’t believe what he saw.

Ordan didn't believe that humans would overuse their magic until the extent of destroying themselves just to save their friends. He quickly picks up the pace and swings around his emerald axes again.

In front of him stands Marco who has begun casting a spell again. "Take this, you pitiful human!" Ordan throws both of his axes directly at Marco in a blink of an eye, followed by heavy clattering noises from the hidden chains.

“…two... one...

JUMP!”

Marco hopped over the attacking axes, he then recklessly land on the ground where he believe the hidden chains are. Upon touching the ground, he felt it! The chains are there, they are invisible! From there, he grabbed the chains fiercely and casted a magic spell!

“Eat this, you sick bastard… Shocker Hands!!!”

*zzzzZZZAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRT!!!

Electrical shock relentlessly flows through the solid metal chain that was concealed, making it look as if the lightning arcs further up front,”

"UUUUAAAAEEEEEEEAAAAARRRRGH!!!"

Ordan is electrocuted by Marco's high voltage spell for ten seconds long!
