Chapter 40:

Act 3 - Chapter 9, Part 2

The Celestials Prison - Envoy of the Damned

***

'After Allen had passed away a year later, the rest followed one by one. I had started to meet with Lavera almost daily... I watched her give those children everything she could, only to receive nothing...'

Oaraun walked to the top of a hill northeast of the capital city of Logos. He followed a winding dirt path that led to the top of a hill. As Oaraun reached the top he noticed a cabin in the center of multiple tall trees. To the left of it, was a graveyard with a woman kneeling next to the tombstones.

Oaraun approached from behind, the stones all had the names of the children written on them. Lavera held her hand over the patch of dirt in front of a tombstone. Her face had a silent sadness emanating from within, Oaraun knelt and placed his fist over his chest as he closed his eyes.

Lavera stood up, "I'll... Start... A tea and... I'll- Make something to eat," Lavera's voice cracked as she ran into the cabin.

Oaraun continued to observe the graves, then glanced at the lone cabin. He stood up and approached it slowly. Before he even opened the door, he heard the crash of a pot followed by a splash of water. Oaraun squinted at the door handle. He grasped the metal handle and pushed it open.

The candles lit the wooden floor and walls made from stacked logs. An iron furnace in the corner sat on a layer of green brick. The pot once filled with water was sideways with its contents pooling out over the floor. Lavera was on her knees, her hands falling limp to both sides as she looked at Oaraun. Her face was covered in tears.

"What am I doing?" Lavera asked wiping the tears with her sleeves. "I can't cook them food anymore... So why am I trying to... I'm just useless, everything I do is meaningless..."

"I could have done more..." said Oaraun.

"Huh?"

"The descendants of Zadia and Yuria possess gifts we've never seen, if I had allied with them as well... Maybe this could have been stopped..." Oaraun sat down on the bed.

"What?"

"I may have made progress, but there's still a lot to be done. If I did more, if we had more help, this may have been avoidable..."

"Don't blame yourself!" Lavera shouted as she stood up and stomped.

The table rattled for a moment before it stood still and the silence returned.

Oaraun looked directly into her blue eyes, "Then stop blaming yourself... You did everything you could..."

Lavera's hunched over as she looked at Oaraun with a frown.

"I was thinking..." Oaraun broke the silence. "We have an excess of this logorite resource... I think we can arrange with Xenia to try and offer support to Zadia's descendants," Oaraun explained.

"Zadia?" Lavera asked.

"Zadia's descendants are barely even a threat, they stay out of our way but have slowly been pushed further in the land... I suspect the same fear that plagued the giants originally may have returned... Lavera, join me."

Lavera looked at him with a confused expression, her green eyes opened wide as she looked at him.

"You and I can show this world a better path, a path of unity in which we can fight against the struggles of life and fate together. I hate seeing you like this. You gave more than yourself for them, and they loved life for as long as they got to experience it," Oaraun knelt next to her and wiped a tear from her eye. "They wouldn't want us to cry, or feel pain. I want to do right by them, and I'd want nothing more than to do it alongside you."

Lavera's face turned bright red as she covered her mouth with both hands.

"I... I- Are- I... What..." Lavera turned away. "What?!"

"I'll give my life to you if you'd give me yours," Oaraun said without hesitation.

"That's... That's supposed to be a difficult thing to say- You..." Lavera stopped as Oaraun got on one knee and bowed to her with his hand outstretched.

***

'We fell in love... And I thought I was reaching the end of my life... How could I have known this was only the beginning... One hundred years is a long time... That day changed everything, without giving us any choice in the matter... On the sixtieth day, during the season of Grivar 176SR... The spear of Jalrog fell from the sky... Lavera was seven months pregnant... We had planned to name our daughter... Terra.'

Ardel's familiar Walbur lifted the empty wagon with Oaraun and himself sitting at the front. 'Our simple conversation came to a halt...' The gentle blue sky started to glow brighter.

"My lord... Do my eyes deceive me... Is... The sun coming closer?" Ardel asked as he pointed up.

Oaraun looked up into the air to see a giant smoldering ball falling from the sky. 'What the...' He looked down and saw the massive kingdom he had spent so long cultivating.

"That's heading for Ethos..." Oaraun uttered as he tried to figure out if the sight he was seeing was real.

"Walbur! Charge as fast as you can!" Ardel yelled the order.

"We don't have time! Ardel you must alert Rael and the queen! I will stop the comet!" Oaraun ordered as he hopped off the moving caravan.

Oaraun's feet dragged through the ground as he stopped himself. He conjured his greatsword and stabbed it into the ground with both hands. Focusing his spirit into every part of his spine all at once.

"Spirit Bloom! Viridiscent Eyed Slayer!" Oaraun roared.

A white pillar of light shot into the sky from where he stood. The smoldering comet quietly fell through the sky. It was a Celestial, connected to a smoldering piece of land. Its tip of bright molten rock burned through the sky, and a pillar of black smoke followed behind it. The white pillar of light dissipated as Oaraun stepped out clad from head to toe in silver armor. He pulled his skull helmet down as he looked up with determination.

"Indra's Arms! Dragon of the Death Flame! Invideus!" Oaraun roared.

A green light flashed behind him as a hand stretched out and grasped the ground in front of him. Pulling itself forward and starting to sprint forward as it jumped and took flight. The massive creature flew up, before banking to the left and turning around. Its body was made from bone, its wings and claws jagged and sharp. The head resembled the skull of a human but connected to the body of a winged beast. The dragon roared out into the sky, before lowering its head for Oaraun to mount.

"Hurry! We can't let that thing get any closer to Eden!" Oaraun ordered.

The dragon flapped its wings and took off into the sky. The wind blew through the holes in Oaraun's helmet, he squinted as he stayed focused on the falling flame. Oaraun held onto the jagged bone along the spine of the dragon's neck as he conjured his greatsword and began channeling green flames into the blade. As he flew higher and higher, the ball of flame came closer and closer to the surface.

"What the..." Oaraun stuttered as he realized how big the object was. "That's way too big... It'll destroy... Everything..."

As Oaraun approached the comet, he felt the unbearable heat. Just being close for a few seconds caused Oaraun to sweat. The ball of flame was about the size of Ethos, it burned and crackled through the sky as it descended upon Eden. The dragon Invideus opened its mouth and a green flame started to crackle within its stomach.

"Fire!" Oaraun ordered.

The dragon spits a fireball directly at the bottom of the flaming ball. However, it simply dissipated the moment it touched.

"Shit... Invideus we have to go closer!" Oaraun ordered.

The dragon flew directly toward the meteor. Crashing into its side and attempting to grasp the molten rock to try and stop it. Oaraun focused his spirit into his arms as Invideus tried to fly close enough for him to cut it.

"Bear it! Please! If we fail everything is gone!" Oaraun commanded.

The dragon's hands burned to dust against the lava.

"Spirit Ignition!" Oaraun swung his blade into the meteor, cleaving the molten rock while standing on the dragon.

The smoke made it hard to breathe. The bits of magma splashed off and burned Oaraun's silver armor pitch-black. The embers hit his face and burned through to his grit teeth. With all his strength he held down as he cleaved part of the meteor off. However, a large chunk broke off and engulfed Oaraun and the dragon.

"Ah!" Oaraun placed his hands on the burning molten. "Aaaaaaaah!" he cried out, the pain was unbearable.

His silver armor was continuously burned, his skin melting and regenerating rapidly. He could feel his skin burning to the bone as he tried to stop the meteor with all of his strength. Invideus's wing had burned off, it couldn't fly anymore. His throat felt drier than a desert. Molten burned his skin to the bone.

"Emerald Forge! Necropolis of the Damned!" Oaraun roared.

As he fell, green bricks spread out from thin air, and he landed on it. The bricks continued to multiply in all directions, forming structures to block the impact of the meteor. Oaraun clenched his teeth as he braced himself once more, his hands shook from the searing pain caused by molten rock.

"Rah!" Oaraun jumped and slammed his greatsword into the comet, but was burned yet again. "Aah!"

'Spirit Ignition!' Oaraun ignited his spirit, but he let go of his sword as the pain despite not wanting to. 'Huh?!' Oaraun's eyes widened as he noticed his hands were burned off. Lava melted the green bricks below him, and Oaraun fell through the melted stone. Invideus quickly flew under and caught him.

"Damn... It!" Oaraun focused his spirit on his feet. "Can I redirect it?!"

Oaraun looked up at the necropolis. The floating castle in the sky was massive, almost resembling the city of Ethos. But the comet still smashed through the floating citadel. A chunk of the necropolis with a lone tower on it was launched west by the force, magma and molten rock were raining from the sky. Oaraun clenched his teeth. His hands regenerated, and he reconjured his greatsword in hand.

"If this thing lands anywhere... Who knows how many will die?! I have to stop it! I only have one attack that might work..."

He held his blade ready as he squatted down. There were still at least three thousand feet to fall. Oaraun looked up at the meteor.

"Invideus, I have one last request... Throw me at it..." Oaraun ordered.

The dragon looked at Oaraun, before grasping him gently with his palm. The dragon opened its wing, causing it to turn in mid-air. The dragon pulled its arm back with Oaraun standing atop it and swung with all its strength. Oaraun flew through the sky, tightening the grip on his sword.

"Toll of Nemesis!" Oaraun roared, his wounds healed as he hoisted the blade up. "World flame! Sword of the Revenger!"

A blast of flame shot outward and struck the meteor at the bottom. Oaraun focused all of his fire on one attack. Chunks of molten flames ricocheted off and separated from the main body. They rained over the land, leaving devastation wherever they struck. The pillar of green flame dug through the molten

"Aaaah!" Oaraun roared, channeling the dazzling green flames into the orange ball of molten rock.

The object started to slow down, and Oaraun funneled all his power into the blade as he burned in the molten flames of the meteor.

'It's sad... I really believed I was going to save them... When I finally came to, it was already too late...'

***

The sky was red, the air was hot. Flames, rubble, and destruction were littered everywhere as far as the eye could see. The scent of burning wood and asphalt stung his nose. The sky was clear, nothing could be seen for miles despite one final piece of the island in the sky.

"You are blind Abaddon! This is what we, the angels, must do! If we don't, it'll be the end!" Ymir Lightbringer shouted.

Oaraun stood over Lavera's dead body. A stab wound through her chest had killed her, not the meteorite. Her hair spread out on the rubble as a pool of blood spread out from her body.

"Lavera..." Oaraun cried as he caressed her cheek. "Lavera!" Oaraun roared.

Oaraun's sobs alerted the angel and the demon.

"What the..." Abaddon uttered in disbelief.

"How... How are you still alive!" Ymir yelled in fear.

"Ah... Ah!" Oaraun grasped the skull helmet burned black by molten. "Aaaah!"

Abaddon was a large man with black hair, a roughly cut jaw, a scruffy beard, and sideburns down to the chin. He wore black robes which revealed a lot of his upper body. The man known as a demon was large, but despite his title, his eyes were wide as he stared at Oaraun, a guilty look on his face.

Ymir Lightbringer was the opposite, he had a sneering look of contempt as he watched Oaraun suffer. He was much slimmer and wore white robes. He drew a sword and lifted it towards Oaraun immediately with grit teeth.

"Ymir wait!" Abaddon shouted.

A beam of light shot out from the long sword. As the blast approached Oaraun stepped in front of Lavera and blocked it with his bare hand.

"Cursed divine beings! How dare you! How dare you exist!" Ymir sneered.

Oaraun held the blast, his only reason was to protect Lavera's body. The light engulfed him in an inferno of heat. He didn't scream, he didn't cry. He didn't even feel the searing pain as he looked at the bright light filling his vision. The light dissipated, and Oaraun sat on his knees, his body blocking the blast from harming Lavera's body anymore. However, two blades pierced his back. He looked down at the two of them, one of the blades was jagged, like a lightning bolt, and crackled with red electricity. Whilst the other was a jade green blade with a wavy sword, dripping with a deadly toxin.

'I barely registered what had happened at the time...'

***

Oaraun found himself looking up at the ceiling of the throne room. He breathed in and out on the ground as snippets of his past entered his mind. Thousands of thoughts rushed through his head.

"How do you feel?" Xenia asked him.

Oaraun tilted his head backward, the corpse of the titan Xenia sat in the same spot it died in. Oaraun got up and coughed raggedly.

"I feel terrible..." Oaraun's head hit the carpet as sweat dripped from his face. "How... How did you all survive..."

"It was thanks to you, you slowed down the spear of Jalrog enough for us... Rael, Evangeline, and I utilized the Spirit Bloom you taught us... While it morphed our forms, we managed to stop it," Gungnir explained.

"The moment we stopped it, the angels and demons invaded. We were already weakened from trying to stop their world from crashing into our own... However, they didn't care," Evangeline slowly explained.

"Then..." Oaraun uttered in shock.

"Yes... If it had hit us without stopping, everyone would have died. However, it came to a standstill close enough to the ground. Its impact ruptured the continent of Eden, separating the mountain ranges to the north and south. Zadia and Xenia's Celestials were destroyed, even so, the descendants of Zadia joined the angels and the demons, slaughtering our people and taking the seat next to our stolen throne..."

Oaraun looked at Gungnir and Evangeline. Their bodies were significantly different, despite being the same size, they no longer resembled giants. Both of them possessed tendrils for legs, and they floated in place. Their skin was similar to wood.

Viceroy Gungnir's body was made up of a strange plasma, it spilled out from his armor and connected the other shards of it. He had a single eye behind his broken helmet, and grey hair flowing out from behind his head.

Viceroy Evangeline's body was shrouded in torn white rags stained red, her arms looked like fabric from how they hovered wavily in the air. A third arm on her back was surprisingly more normal than the other two. The arm possessed two joints, and the hand at the end was clad with a single stinger on her forefinger. Her white hair floated upwards wavily just like her arms. A hole in her stomach didn't seem to pierce through to the other side, it looked like a pitch-black void.

"Your return was unexpected and greatly appreciated. But, why have you come back?" Xenia asked with a soft voice and calm tone.

'Was she always that soft spoken...'

"I was ordered by the spoiled descendant of that damn angel Ymir... It was to stop the return of the damned... A group of Lithonian resistance who failed to agree with the angel's new order gathered there and destroyed the seal... And then... I found Ardel... No... It doesn't make sense..."

"Ardel? Ardel Grim? We haven't seen him for years... He and a few other druids have continued to stop a strange creature which has engulfed pathos and ethos..."

"Ethos... and Pathos..." Oaraun recalled the locations of the three Celestials on Grelt.

Oaraun quickly stood up and turned to the stairs. "I need to go..."

"What?" Xenia replied.

"I need to stop her... But..."

"Her?"

"The Celestial cannot be destroyed, if it does manage to fall... From it, an abyss will spread, and within that darkness, a being will be born... That being's sole purpose is to consume this entire world... A being born from unmet potential... It currently believes it's Terra Gerrenwalt... My daughter..."

"Your... Daughter? The creature... Engulfing Ethos and Pathos... Believes it's your daughter?" Xenia was at a loss for words.

"I am not sure... If Yuria's Celestial has not yet fallen... The abyss can't destroy Grelt... But they can kill hundreds, or even thousands if it isn't stopped! The longer it spreads the stronger it becomes, and they've both already spread for over a hundred years!"

Xenia turned and looked at Gungnir and Evangeline, they looked just as surprised.

Oaraun got down on his hands and knees.

"I am deeply ashamed to ask, after abandoning you all for so long, I need your help to stop the abyss!" Oaraun requested.

***

Oaraun walked along the stone bridge that led west from the Old Kingdom, Xenia walked in front. The two Viceroy walked between him and the queen, Gungnir floated with his hands behind his back. 'Gungnir Von Aegis... Evangeline Von Friede... The giants could use Spirit Arts... But they never used the Spirit Bloom... It morphed their forms permanently... Why...' Around the various parts of the city, multiple large trees stuck out from the buildings. 'Xenia's great trees... They must have helped in keeping the citadel safe...'

"We were forced to use your blood to survive," Xenia answered.

"My- blood?" Oaraun stuttered.

Xenia stopped and pointed to the stalactites on the ceiling.

"Your battle with the two kings of the off-worlders, while I did not witness it, you, a divine being, had been defeated. The blood you spilled enriched the land and seeped down to the ruins of this kingdom. We found it," she explained.

"That's logorite hanging from the ceiling... Were under Kamino right now..." said Oaraun.

"Yes, upon receiving the divine energy, our bodies changed. We are now reliant on logorite to sustain our lives... While we have an abundance of logorite right now, it won't last forever..."

Oaraun saw the two angels unconscious on the bridge and hurried towards them. Bruno and Vivian were still shaking.

"Please, heal them," Oaraun requested.

"Are you sure? These two are angels..."

"They trust me. The Lightbringers sent them with me... The Lightbringers sent us to die..." Oaraun muttered as he thought. "Why did they not send Lector... A spy should've been their highest priority to get rid of..."

Xenia plucked two black-colored berries from an outstretched branch and placed them in Bruno and Vivian's mouths. After the fruit rolled down their throat, the two of them immediately opened their eyes and grasped their heads.

"Gungnir, Evangeline, please take them into the capital... Restrain them if they panic, but do not harm them," Xenia ordered.

Oaraun squinted as he looked at her, 'Something isn't right...'

"Oaraun, I have something to show you..." Xenia turned to him.

***

The two of them walked back to the capital and took the overpass that led to the north side of the city.

"You witnessed that tragedy all over again when you consumed the fruit?" Xenia asked.

"I witnessed my entire life fly by in a moment... Starting from the day I met the woman named Octavia on that battlefield..."

They continued towards the north edge of the kingdom of Logos. Xenia looked down, and Oaraun squinted at her.

"Everything came back to me all at once, it's taking a bit longer to register it all along with my memories and actions as Alexander Rael... My hand in history... I killed my friend and family... Rael Gerrenwalt, under the orders of those bastards..."

"The Pontiff Gerrenwalt? He survived for that long?" Xenia asked.

Oaraun squinted when he heard her say the name again.

"I don't even want to think about it... But... I have been curious... Who are you?" Oaraun asked all of a sudden.

Xenia looked down. "So you noticed..."

"Octavia never referred to the lord of the giants as Pontiff Gerrenwalt, they were once enemies but became good friends. She always called him by name... So who are you?"

"I am the daughter of the previous queen. I've inherited Xenia's gift, though... I am no leader... The people worship me despite my powerlessness. Xenia exhausted her life trying to battle against the abyssal being to the north... It wasn't too long ago, her sacrifice is part of the reason the kingdom still stands."

"Octavia... Gave her life to stop the abyss..." Oaraun took a deep breath. "We prospered for so long... Only to be ended by the actions of a gluttonous fool not even from our world..."

"It's incredible... Normally the fruit of Apollo has a hallucinogenic effect on people, but for you, it woke you up immediately..." Xenia noted.

"That fruit will not affect me due to my innate healing... The parasite placed in me by that harbinger from Jalrog acted as some sort of block... Theresia Lightbringer... Her gift is powerful, I've never seen or experienced anything like it..."

"A harbinger from Jalrog?" The queen heard the name for the first time.

"While I am unsure of the exact events... A being from another planet named Jalrog is the reason for the angels and demons coming to Grelt... That being destroyed its own planet..."

"Destroyed... A planet? Impossible."

"I don't know for certain... Their texts were vague... However, I know what I saw that day... The Spear of Jalrog was no spear at all... it was a separate Celestial from their planet connected with a large chunk of earth that collided with Grelt."

"What did they call this being?" Xenia asked in disbelief.

"They called it Ragnarok... But from what they described I feel like it's something beyond even myself..."

Two smooth-surfaced pillars stood tall at the end of the bridge, it was slightly embedded into the rock. 'This is...' Oaraun looked forward, the end of the bridge was embedded into a hill of dirt. A path winded up the large hill towards what looked like a large cave. They reached the top of the path. Xenia walked between the two pillars carved into the wall, and into the thick darkness. Oaraun tried to walk through it, but he felt resistance. He reached up and touched the shadow, it felt cold and wet. As he moved his hand away, the surface rippled like water.

"Wren, do not be rude," Xenia asked calmly.

"Wren?" Oaraun moved his hand around the surface and then felt it slip through.

He walked forward through the black substance, it felt like walking through a wall of water. As he got inside he noticed that he could see normally despite there being no source of light.

"What is this?" Oaraun asked curiously.

"Water, all of the shadows in this space have been pushed away, without light or shadow, there exists only form," an ardent voice came from all directions.

Oaraun looked around.

"I'm over here, silly," a shadow rose out of the ground.

As the shadow reached a height of about five feet, it took on the shape of a slim young woman. She wore a silver mask that covered just her eyes and a black dress. Her bare feet were exposed, tapping against the stone excitedly. Her hair bounced up and down with her as she hopped in place excitedly. The skirt reached past her knees, she had pale skin and sunken cheeks, but a bright smile.

"Oaraun, this is Viceroy Evangeline's second daughter, Wren-"

"I'm Wren Von Friede! So you're the one all the stories were talking about!" Wren interrupted Xenia as she kept jumping in front of Oaraun, trying to reach his height.

'She looks young, but her demeanor is far too childish... However, this ability she's using here is powerful...'

"You look like your mother," said Oaraun.

"Huh!" Wren raised her hands in shock.

"Before she took on the form of the druids..." Oaraun added.

"Oh, phew..." Wren lifted her mask and wiped a tear away.

"Hm?"

The upper part of Wren's face was visible only for a brief moment, there was a hollow socket. 'She gave her eyes to Xenia...'

"What is this?" Oaraun flicked the wall which rippled like water on touch.

"Water which is filled with shadows. I can manipulate shadows, and by manipulating the shadows in the water, I can focus and compress darkness into a liquid wall, I can even use this ability to explore the seafloor, but it's scary down there..."

"The sea floor?!"

"Wren watches this place and guards it. While she may seem small and frail, her offensive capability is made up for with incredible defense and utility," said Xenia.

Xenia's armor clanked as she put one knee to the ground. Oaraun glanced past her and noticed what Xenia was looking at. There was a field of tombstones on a plane of dirt. 'This...' The one she stood over had a single name that made him pause.

"Lavera O. Gerrenwalt," Oaraun he stated.

'I think the name Oaraun is nice, it feels... strong, you know? Like Oarrrrraun! It's got a lot of... weight?'

Oaraun remembered Lavera's words. The name on the stone became blurry, he felt a tear roll down his cheek. He wiped it as he sighed. On the other side of the field of tombstones was a large amount of thick black tree branches. The branches sprouted from a single corpse. The husk of a skeleton on all fours was merged with the black branches. Oaraun walked up to the body.

"Octavia... I'm sorry I failed..."

"Wren's use of dark magic is capable of holding back the abyss, beyond the branches of Apollo and her darkness, is an abyss spreading rapidly... Wren, show him,"

"Okaaaay~" Wren sung.

The bubbly girl walked between the tombstones and raised her hands toward the darkness. She moved her hands apart and the shadow seemed to move with it, revealing the sea lit blue by a light far above.

"What the... That's-" Oaraun couldn't find the words.

A giant stone circle could be seen in the ocean past Wren's barrier. 'Is that... A boulder? It's perfectly circular-' He realized quickly. The giant pale stone which sat in front of him was a remnant of Xenia's Celestial. 'Where is the darkness... Where is the abyss? We shouldn't be able to see it...'

"The Celestial that stood north of the kingdom of Logos now sits at the bottom of the sea," Xenia explained. "I'm unsure of how the descendants of Yuria have adapted, however, we cannot keep it at bay for long... It's good you came when you did Oaraun, we need your help as well."

"Our descendants on the surface, are currently subjugated and live lives of slavery believing they are powerless... But it's because the Celestial on the surface isn't native to this world..."

"Is that true?" Xenia asked, a hint of anger in her voice.

"History didn't ever get better, only worse..."

"How long must we wait while this goes on..."

"For now, the abyssal being to the west takes priority, our path back to the surface should be clear from there... The hybrid Lithonians will have to be dealt with before we can face the angels... They are currently led by Queen Zadia's daughter, a woman named Vala Grehilia..."

"The hybrids... Vala Grehilia..." Xenia repeated with contempt in her voice.

"We have to deal with the abyssal being in Pathos..."

Oaraun looked down, 'What could there be? Something that will allow us to-' He stopped as a single person flashed through his mind. He stepped back as he started to think about something.

"Hm? What's wrong?" Wren asked.

"Jack... Eldritch..." Oaraun uttered.

"Jack?" Wren repeated with a confused tone.

"Who is that?" Xenia asked.

"No... There's no way... It must have just been- chance... When I was under the control of the angels... I was the warden of the town directly above, where the druids have now been labeled non-unified and are slaves to the angels... I executed a man and his wife in cold blood in front of the other slaves. They had a child who was sent to the town to replace them... Jack Eldritch..."

"Go on..." Xenia's head tilted.

"Before I had even met the child... I had a dream... It was- a replay of that event, of the event in which his parents closed the mines and I killed them... But something changed... Jack appeared in place of his parents' corpses... he-" Oaraun's eyes went wide.

"A dream?"

"He destroyed the Celestial in my dream..."

"I don't understand, a dream could be anything..." Xenia looked up at him.

"Ever since that dream, Alexander Rael had been trying to kill Jack, to the point of mad obsession with the boy... The only time something like that happened was when Rael Gerrenwalt battled me outside Helios... Jack may have druid blood within him..."

"Where is this, Jack Eldritch now?" Xenia asked.

Oaraun looked at the shadows around them, and then towards Wren.

"He's- most likely at the surface, somewhere in the continent of Hiria, he's no longer a slave... He's obtained a powerful ally and is currently allied with a resistance who despises the angels..."

"A powerful ally?"

"Yeah... He ridiculed Alexander Rael in combat..."

"You?!" Wren jumped.

"Who is he?" Xenia asked.

"Another off-worlder... I am unsure of why he arrived, but he is another divine being... From another planet known as Imperion..."
