Chapter 5:

Chapter 5 : Veene

A New Light In Interria

"Stop for a moment."
I went over and picked up that branch.
"This will help us a lot."
I used the twig as I walked to sweep away the footprints that the two of us had made. Meanwhile, she accompanied me to observe everything around her. After walking for a while, suddenly she jumped for joy and ran to the right of the forest. After having chased her for a while, I saw her drinking from a rather small lake surrounded by tall trees. I walked to the shore of the lake, and wash my face with the water.
"Huh, I'm no longer a human."
The reflection on the lake is my image from my previous life. But the brown eyes had turned into a pair of iridescent black eyes. It was the same black hair, but at the top two small horns began to protrude. I have become a demon.
"No longer human? So mister was human before that, right ?" A clear, childish voice came out.
I looked over and it was the girl speaking. I was able to see her face after she used the water to brush her hair to the side. She has bright pink eyes.
"I'M SORRY, I didn't mean to startle you, mister."
"It's okay."
After that we both didn't know what to say to each other, I started using water to wash the wounds from the previous matches and tore off the patient's shirt to cover the wounds. She decided to break the silence.
"About being a human..."
"I want it to be our secret."
Not being a human is something normal in this world. I don't want to be a fish out of water in this world.
"Yes sir... And what's your name?"
"My..name..is"
[ Hades ]
"Hades??"
"So your name is Hades."
*You have chosen the name Hades*
What the hell is that Z, why Hades. I looked around, but there was no sign of Z anywhere. Never mind.
"Sir Hades,..."
"Yes."
"Let me be your entourage for a lifetime."
"What? I don't need an entourage."
"Mister..no..need...a..."
Tears began to fall from the little girl's eyes. I started thinking about how to smoothly handle this situation.
"I don't need an attendant, but I do need a companion."
"Then let me be a companion to Lord Hades. I hope you will forgive me for the mistakes I may make in the future." She responded pretty positively.
"Of course. And may I ask what's your name?"
"My name is Veene."
"Then Veene let's move on."
"But before that..."
Veene stood up, dusted off her body, and lowered her head.
"Despite being a bit late, I sincerely thank Lord Hades for saving me from those guys."
"It's okay if it's someone else, they will do the same. I also sincerely thank you for saving me back then."
I lower my head down a bit. Veene begins to be confused about my action.
"No, no, no. Please don't lower your head down."
"Ok. But back then, what did you do to that guy?"
"You mean when I use Drain Touch. It's a special skill of my kind."
"Is that guy okay ?"
"It's okay. Even if you didn't stop, he would only be immobilized for a week, since I don't have much experience using that skill."
"Ok, then. Shall we move on now, Veene?"
"Yes, Mr. Hades."
We stepped out of the lake and continued our journey out of the forest. Having walked for a while, Veene jumped up and happily pointed at a place like a burning light in this dark forest.
"That's the exit," Veene yelled out in excitement.
When I came out of the forest, my eyes were met with an image of a vast green grassland crisscrossed by trails surrounded by low mountains. The noon sun has somewhat adorned the surrounding landscape. To the north is a small village located right in the middle of the mountains. Further away is the image of a giant tower that looks like it is piercing the blue sky. Nature painting Interria is like a masterpiece painted by a talented artist.
"What a wonderful sight," I exclaimed in astonishment.
I turned my gaze to Veene. The girl's eyes sparkled at the scene before her.
"Haha free."
She fell into the meadow, rolled back and forth to catch the sunlight while smiling and tearing continuously as if she hadn't...
"Veene, how long have you been locked up?"
Her face darkened, and her smile faded. The girl was silent and confused.
"Veene apologizes for that question of mine."
"It's okay sir, I've been in there for so long that I don't even remember."
"I sincerely apologize."
"I said it's okay. Let's move on."
"Of course, let's head to the village in the north."
The two of us continued on the trail leading to a village a few kilometers away. I turned my gaze to the Southeast and saw a group of people moving to another place. Probably them, they didn't seem to notice us at all. And they probably not going to enjoy what happens in their previous base.
