Learning about world around me

It took place a year after my first words. I was currently three years old and I spend my time wandering around our family estate, I wasn't really allowed to go outside, so I spend my time looking into courtyard and today, I saw my sister Eru and brother Noel practicing magic together, which pumped me up. I mean, it’s magic!

„Fuu, [Status] Ah, I got to level up my fire magic! Wooo! Sis! I got to fire magic to level two!“

„You should continue leveling up your alchemy skill Noel. In the apprisal ceremony was said that you should not follow the path of mage like Big sis Hina,“ I heard Eru from outside.

„So brother said status and he suddenly learn about his level going up? Let’s try it… ‚status!‘“

„Whoa… I got a unique skill? Hm… allows to steal skills of others by touching them and strenghten the skills of the owner. Magic manipulation seems like a skill to control magic and increased stamina recovery probably do exactly what it says…“

I deciced to test my skills right away.

I snucked out of the estate and walked around the garden. Soon I got to distant part of garden with huge wall. On the other side was a nobles district of our city. And behind the city walls is magically charged forest.

In that moment with a huge thud, a chair-sized moth fell to the ground. It was almost dead, but it was weak enought to not fight back against my touch.

I put my hand on the moth, „King of greed, acivate,“ I said and felt a little silly.

In that moment I got the feeling like something was forcibly pulled out of my body and the moth started to flapping its wings. I fell on my rear and activated status after making some distance. I got level 1 skill called Paralyze spore.

„I stole my first skill… great… oh, the monster is still moving… I should probably kill it… or… HELP ME!!!“

I screamed and made a significant distance between me and the monster.

In acordance with my scream a single knight together with my brother Noel and sister Eru appeared.

„I will take care of it! [Thunder clap]!“ Eru chanted her magic completly destroying the moth.

„What happened Leo?“ Noel asked me.

„T-that bug fell from sky…“ I said with tears in corners of my eyes. I must say that I'm proud of my acting abilities.

„Ah, I see. Some adventurers probably hunted this Paralyze Moth in forest behind the city wall and it got away from them,“ Eru said matter-of-factly.

„That magic was amazing sis, could I use it?“

„Well, in two years you will go to have your apprisal ceremony and you will find out if you can there.“

„Apprisal ceremony? What is that?“ I asked with innocent curious look.

„When we of noble bloodline reach five years of age, we have apprisal ceremony, in which we learn about our skills. But it also contains a baptism, so you may get blessing of one of the gods. I have blessing of Magic god and Noel have not only that but also blessing of Alchemy god.“

„Big bro Noel have two blessings? That’s amazing!“

„Yeah, but my magic blessing is only level one, nothing compare to you sis.“

„Well I don’t have level 5 blessing of alchemy you know? But back on topic, you can see what magic is in our library. Father and grandfather collected quite a collection over last fifty years.“

Library! Why didn’t I thought about it before!

„Thank you big sis Eru, big bro Noel! I’m going to the library now!“

I run towards the main building and entered library from second floor. Our library was originally only in the first floor, but grandfather opened a hole in ceiling and made more place for books going up. I didn't tell anyone, but I secretly practiced reading while no-one was looking.

When I opened the door I was hit by smell of old books, which I always loved in my previous life. I took list of books and their placement in the library.

„Let’s see… basics of magic… Second shelf, third book. Got it!“

I looked at the old black book and took it out. Sitting on armchair next to the shelf I started reading.

„In order to use magic you need to feel magic power within you and it’s nature. Following that you can learn magic skill of your aptitude. You can also use skill orb in order to get the skill for magic, but it will be harder for you to master it unless you have natural aptitude… seems like meditation will be necesary. Good thing I did this in Dojo back on earth... but skill orbs huh? Maybe I will get my hands on one in the future...“

I sit on ground and closed my eyes. I remembered how something was pulled out of me, when I stole the moths skill. As I had closed my eyes, small orbs of different kinds of light started manifesting before them.

„Weird… when same colour touches it becomes brighter… should I collect all of them?“

I started gathering the orbs. When they become too bright I opened my eyes. To see if anything changed I used status.

„So many types! And my level went up! Is it becouse of the moth? And magic manipulation went up one level as well…“

With satisfied expression I went to get lunch with my family, for some reason I was put next to father and directly facing mother, which was place usually reserved for the oldest son, but brother Gavin and sister Hima are in royal capital going into the school. I heard that they live with grandfather there, I would like to meet him.

„So how was your day so far?“ father asked.

„My fire magic skill went up!“ Noel smiled.

„That is really remarkable, but why don’t you study alchemy a little more? You could help me with work in the future,“ father said with big smile.

„It could also help you find a partner for yourself easier if you had a stable job,“ mother added.

„I-I don’t know…“ brother Noel said blushing.

„Should we study together big brother?“ I asked innocently.

„Heh, sure. I will show you what alchemy really is, Leo.“

„Thank you!“

„Good. Now, Eru, how was your day?“ father asked.

„I trained my magic and leveled up my lightning magic! I was even able to protect Leo from Paralyze Moth that fell into garden.“

„WHAT?!“ Mother and Father exclaimed at same time.

„What were you doing in the garden Leo?“ Mother asked, ven poping on her forehead.

„I-I wanted some fresh air…“

„You could hurt yourself! Even in a garden you could get hurt! What would happen if no-one was near!?“

„I-I just… wanted to look at Big sis and Big bro casting magic,“ I put on cute face with some tears in corners of my eyes.

„You are interested in magic? You should wait for that at least until you are five. That reminds me, Mina will have apprisal ceremony and baptism soon. You will learn all you need there,“ Father said.

„Thank you, Father,“ I beamed a happy smile.

„Dear, our Leo did something dangerous,“ mother said strictly and Father started to sweat bullets.

„Y-yes he did. I will punish him for that later. Now, I was thinking about getting him a personal servant. Tina as his nurse maid will need some help and we are little shorthanded anyway...“

„You just want to go dring with your friendly slave trader.“

„We went to school together and fought together on front lines, can you blame us?“

„I guess not… but don’t bring anything weird okay?“

„Uh, sure, Dear.“

Hang in there, Father.

The next day I went with Father to Nacht slave company. It’s president, Falco Nacht, is Fathers old friend from school and companion from time of war decades ago.

„Is Shorty here?!“ Father yelled from the doors.

„You don’t need to yell in my shop you Old fox!“ a man shouted from counter on the left side.

„Ha! There he is! Hiding behind counter like always?“

„Still yelling at people like nobody’s bussiness?“

The two broke into hearty laugh.

„So, you know why I’m here today with the kid right?“

„A servant right? Come with me.“

We went to upper floor where we sit on couch and waited for Mr. Nacht to get some profiles of slaves that would fit our needs.

„Thanks to the law of this country child slaves are strictly prohibited. But it can be other story if you buy pregnant slave.“

„So you just need to prepare female slave with this kid and add pregnant into status column right?“

„Heh, you catch on quick as always you old fox,“ Mr. Nacht smiled to himself.

„So, do you have something I could use?“

„Yeah, I got half-elf girl around your kids age, but I lacked elvish slave that could match her unique properities.“

„What do you mean by that?“

„Well, this kid have red eyes and hair.“

„Ah, I see. Fire magic using elf. So you found another like that?“

„No, but I found an elvish woman with skills mainly in wind magic, that could also use fire magic.“

„Former explorer right?“

„Yeah. Her group got into money troubles and when she was asleep she was sold on the dark auction.“

„As someone in charge of labyrinth resources it really pains me to hear that...“

„I will go fetch them, okay?“ Mr. Nacht asked Father.

„Sure.“

When Mr. Nacht left Fathers rage almost got better of him.

„I can’t belive that after I personally cleared those dungeons of Plunderers those stupid Explorers would sell their companions to slavery like that! Such a bunch of trash…“

„Father…“

„Oh, sorry Leo. Your dad got angry for a minute. Please don’t tell your mom,“ he said while patting my head.

„Sure.“

Soon after that, Mr. Nacht returned with two (very) elf-looking people. One was, as I found from a paper on the table before us, girl of four years of age. One year older than me. She had red hair and eyes. The other one was woman in her thirties with green hairs and blue eyes.

„So now I will be a nobles plaything? Great,“ said the older one with nasty look in her eyes.

I jumped from my seat and walked to them. „Hello there. I’m Leo Netrose, I’m looking forward to our time together.“

„You speak nice for a kid,“ the older one’s face softened looking at me.

„Could I troubble you for your names?“ I asked with a smile.

„I’m Ruzu and this little one is…“

„Kiira,“ said the redhaired girl absent mindedly.

„What I want from you two is to be my sons sevants. As for you miss Ruzu, I would ask you to also serve as bodyguard for him.“

„So, who’s the master? You or the kid?“ Ruzu said with her sharp tongue towards father, glaring.

„Well, for now it will be me, but after my sons apprisal ceremony, I would transfer the ownership to him.“

„Well, that seems fair. But no lewd orders!“

„You are not my wife so that would never happen!“

„Father what ‚Lewd‘ means?“ I pour oil into the fire, still looking innocent.

„Eh, lewd means something so nasty that it’s forbiden to talk about it infront of ladies, especially your mother, you understand, right Leo?“ father explained while sweating.

„Wow, that kid really is Sareen's kid. You’re sweating like that one time before your wedding.“

„Shut it!“ Father yelled at teasing of Mr. Nacht and his voice skipped an octave.

After that Father bought both of them and after creating slave crest on back of their hands, we went home.

„So, you bought two girls?“ Mother said menacingly.

„Eh, I had to buy the older one in order to buy the kid!“

„So you didn’t want me master?“ Ruzu said teasingly, while folding her hands on her belly, which made her brests jiggle. What a sight to see for a healthy man. Too bad I'm stuck in this little body!

„Ruzu, teasing is big no no!“ I said puffing my cheeks and then turned to moter. „I’m sorry mother. I give father okay on this…“

„You don’t need to apologize sweetheart. Your father have explaining to do.“

With those words maids left the room and our butler Setas took me alongside Ruzu and Kiira to another room, where the tea was prepared.

„Ruzu, Kiira, mind to join me for some tea?“

„We are just slaves master, we can’t,“ Ruzu said stoicly completly changing her attitude before me.

„Well, I will have Setas show you around. But Kiira, could you stay for a while? I want to ask you something.“

„S-sure… master...“ she said with empty look in her eyes.

When Setas left with Ruzu, I poured some tea into two cups and gestured Kiira to sit in front of me.

„So tell me Kiira, who are you?“

„I-I don’t know what you mean, master…“

„What are you hiding?“

„Nothing really…“

„Not even a unique skill?“

With those words Kiira froze.

„In one book I read that only unique skills can react to unique skills. So tell me, what is your unique skill.“

„I-I can’t tell… I promised…“

„One way to get unique skill at our age is, acording to my learnings, only by being a special individual, or a reincarnator.“

Once again her eyes widened and tears started to flow.

„And then there is that name. Kiira. It’s similar to Kara, don’t you think?“

„N-no… Hyogo? I-is that… you?“

My name on earth was Hyogo Satori. She was Kara Toori, my girlfriend back there. With that being said, I had nothing else to do then nod.

„They didn’t lie to me!“ with that she jumped from her seat and hugged me.

„I’m also glad to see you, but what happened back there?“

„When you died that men with knife started stabbing aroud himself and when police arived he throw the knife away and tried to run. But that knife flew directly at me. So he killed me in the end as well. After that I met weird group of people calling themselves Gods of another world. They told me that I could reincarnate in to their world. Only drawback was that I would forgot my previous life. But I wanted to see you again so when I told them that, they said that I could. They let me keep my memories of last few days before our death.“

„And what happened next?“

„I woke up with collar on my neck lying on ground before that Nacht guy. I found out that I’m slave later. I felt like I was cheated on…“

„It’s fine, we are together now.“

„Yeah. YEAH! I’m your slave now right? Which means you can order me right?“ Kiira said with light  and sparkles returning to her eyes.

„You thinking about something lewd again?“

Seems her personality from our world survived as well... this pervert...

In that moment she turned bright red.

„Wh-what is it?“

She came closer to my ear and whispered: „Seems like you will have my first time again.“

Now, we were both bright red.

„Ya-hoo! We are back! Oh my~“ Ruzu said in the doors.

Kiira jumped down and strighten her position next to me. Ruzu now had maid uniform and brought a smaller one for Kiira.

After her, my mother walked in.

„No running in hallways miss Ruzu. Leo, did something happen? You are completly red.“

„N-no, nothing. Just the tea was probably too hot for me.“

„I see. Well, prepare to get to bath, and diner will be in two hours. Ruzu and Kiira, you will be eating with rest of our staff.“

„Yes, madam,“ they both replied.

With that our lively first day together ended.
