Chapter 7:

The Light Side Meets the Dark Side

Eliote's Space Exploration

-And hello everyone! Recently I had fun searching for nebulae. And so I stumbled across a planet that seems two-sided, one being white rock, one being black ash, situated in a nebula! The sky might be interesting! Let's go!

Eliote and Aye find themselves on the Dark side, on the border of the Light side. The sky is a cluttered mess of black, purple, and star clusters.

-Wow... That's beautiful! Wait, what? What is this crazy demarcation between the two sides of the planet? I was expecting that with the thumbnail of the stellar navigator, but that's even sharper than I thought it would be!

-Oh look Eliote, there are people right there!

-It's incredible how every time we spawn near the inhabitants! If I was a writer I would say that this makes the story easier to write!

Eliote and Aye engage a conversation with the inhabitants. They both look the same, but one has light tan skin and the other one has dark red skin. One has a halo above her head, while the other one has black reddish horns. The light skinned one has red twintails and red eyes, while the dark skinned one has black twintails and also red eyes, but the white part of the eye is black instead. They both wear the same school uniform with differents colors. The light one is white with a light red skirt and white thigh high socks, and the dark one is completely black.

-Hello!

They answer.

-Hello.

-Yo!

So Eliote asks something.

-We come from another planets and we would like to know more about this demarcation between the two sides of the planet!

-Ah that is easy to understand!

-On this planet, Haicindro (ハイツィンドロ), everyone exists in two copies! A N Gel version on the Light side, and a D Mon version on the Dark side. Me, for example, my name is Kyōki N Gel (キョーキ · エン · ジェル), and my other half right next to me is Ankō D Mon (アンコー · ディ · モン). We all live in peace and harmony, and each side of the planet has its leader! I really had a lot of chance to find my other half, because given the size of the planet, it's extremely hard to find each other!

-What a system! It's a really incredible concept!

Aye asks a question.

-And the entire planet only has 2 leaders? The peoples do not rebel?

And it's Ankō that answers.

-No! We only want peace between us so we listen to the people. And even so, if they want to rebel, the crown a something that protects the leader. I know this, because I am the next leader of the Dark side.

-Oh! So cool!

-The coronation is for when?

-In one hour.

-Again, something that makes the story easier to write, that's crazy!

-Do you want to come? The switching of the leader is really secret on the Dark side, but I can make an exception.

Kyōki doesn't seem to like where this is going.

-Are you sure Ankō? Didn't you want us to do it only together?

-I know, but I can make an exception for people that came from that far away.

-I want to come!

-Me too!

-So come with me, we are going to give you uniforms from here.

Now, Eliote, Aye, Kyōki and Ankō are in the secret coronation room deep underground.

-What do you prefer, the D Mon or the N Gel uniform?

Eliote answers N Gel, while Aye answers D Mon. And so they put these uniforms. After that, Ankō shows them the room.

-Here is the coronation room, I'll be back in some minutes.

Ankō and Kyōki leave the room for another one. Kyōki is thinking.

-Here we are, I will finally be able to put my plan into action!

We can see Kyōki holding a knife behind her back.

-Ankō. The thing that you didn't know, is that we didn't meet by chance. I was sent by the Light side to assassinate you! We never wanted to live in peace with you! We are going to take control of the entire planet and reduce your people into mere slaves. Your system has a huge flaw, it's making their coronations that secret, there is nobody to protect you and there will be no witness! I'll be able to kill you, and only the two strangers will know it! They won't be able to do something to me!

Kyōki stabs Ankō in the tummy.

-Kyōki! Why did you stab me in the tummy...

-You didn't see it coming! Shame on you! This planet is going to be controled by the N Gels!

And Kyōki runs back in the coronation room.

-The power is mine!

Kyōki puts the crown on her head with a diabolic smile. Eliote reacts.

-What are you doing Kyōki? And where is Ankō?

-Ah, this fool? I killed her!

Eliote does the face of an anime character going insane. She transforms into her right eye mode and shoots a plasma ring towards Kyōki. Of course, since Kyōki is wearing the crown, it doesn't hit her.

-What?

-Hahaha! Did you already forget? This crown protects the person wearing it!

Eliote then goes into her moon mode. Without saying a word, she aims her right arm towards the crown, making the crown black, full of charged particles. Thanks to this, Eliote is able to make the crown fall from Kyōki's head without even touching it! Kyōki is incredibly confused.

-Eh?

Eliote combines her moon mode and her right eye mode.

-Oh. Aren't you approaching me? It doesn't matter, I don't need to approach you if I want to disintegrate you!

And so, Eliote shoots her plasma ring at Kyōki, disintegrating her.

-AHHHHHHHHH!

Aye finally says something.

-We need to search for Ankō fast!

-Oh yes you are right! Maybe we have enough time left!

Eliote and Aye run to find the room where Ankō was. They found her after only thirty seconds. She is agonizing.

-I found her Eliote! She is still conscious!

-Ankō! Please don't leave us!

-Kyōki... Why...
