Chapter 8:

Entry #72: Identical Room

Beyond Insanity

Lushved Muhammed, an owner of a hotel named “Lushved’s Hotel And Services”, is located on the soil rumored to be formerly stood by a graveyard. He is successful, helpful to his staff, and cheerful to everyone. Until one day, no customers came in. But the suspicious part is that none of his staff are celebrating with him, none of them are even happy in the first place. I tried to ask them about the long face but got cut down.

“Mister Masahiro Yuuta, you’re finally here. Welcome to our wonderful hotel! We cater, water, dinger, & slumber for you.”

“Wai— what do you mea—”

“...Uh uh uhhh, the night is young and we still have lots of fun to do, you wanna join?”

“Sorry, not to be rude but—”

“...Ohhhh, poor guy. Here’s your room, Room 509, my favorite”

Of a sudden, the staff’s faces changed colors, and began to worry about me. Lushved proceeds to call one of the staff to guide me to my room. On the way, I asked my guide which I have later known as Sita about earlier.

“There is something wrong in that room, Lushved only uses that room for the people who made him feel bad to everyone. But the most surprising of all is that those people never came out of the room.”

“Ah, perhaps that sure is strange. But have you ever found any remains of the missing people inside?”

“Sorry sir, but that is the only room where even the staff ourselves are prohibited to grant access to”

We finally have gone to a halt which felt really short. When I look towards the room number, Lushved’s voice echoes through the room startling Sita, and pushed me in and quickly closed the door. The next thing I hear is the sliding of cardboard plates. Lushved’s voice follows calling for Sita’s name on which Sita ran afterward.

As I was inside, I recollected questions that emerged from the whole scenario I am in. Before so, a scream of a familiar-sounded lady screeches across the halls. I slightly opened the door and took a peek. Just as I thought, Lushved is dragging Sita by the hair and is currently leading out to a place unbeknownst to me.

Their presence is now faint, I silently walked out of the room and immediately look at the room number. Lushved is angry with Sita, angry to the point of violence, as what she said earlier, from what I’ve heard earlier, the reason why the walk felt short, has begun to piece together. Sita has played with the number 206 to number 509.

I quickly began to move to rescue Sita. But behind me are the rest of the staff with an intent to cause my perish. I met with a dead end with the elevator being my only option. The moment I got inside, I immediately pressed the floor 5 button and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the violent staff. As I think of a flawless escape, the elevator became jam-packed. They began stepping on each other with the weaker ones starting to get smashed to pieces below their feet, just to take their attempt to end me.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“Namuh diputs ,htlaew ruo fo sterces eht revocnu uoy tel t’now ew”

There it is again, the dialect of nonsense. The dialect that I can’t understand, but can comprehend. The feral staff continue to smash its colleagues below as they reach me while I decided to bust out from the door above used by the maintenance personnel. I then looked towards the door with a painted number 5 and climbed to it in advance with a crowbar I picked from the room earlier and used it to force open the door.

When I finally got in, I rushed to room 509 from a distance. I saw Lushved opening the door with a tied-up Sita under his foot. The wailing and noise coming from the possessed staff bought Lushved’s attention to my direction on which I immediately charged toward him with the rabid staff on my back.

I picked up my gun from my pocket and shot Lushved in his dominant right hand but before so, he already opened the door. My speed is forced to reach as close to a half of a Mach and tackles him inside without letting him bring Sita.

The moment I saw the interior, It was full of dead bodies. Some are freshly killed, and some are rotten, I even recognize some, Hensley Winchester, Trish the entertainer, Jake Arubbah, just to name a few, as if, all the dead and/or missing people from most of my cases up till now were dumped here.

As I take a step near the door, the corpses began to move in a jerky motion and a glare of red came across the end of the room. As I look toward the end of the light, A ginormous shadow of an entity showed itself munching on a body, as I finch my eyes more, I realize, that the body in between the creature’s teeth, is my head.

I quickly diverted my focus as Lushved was still amidst recovery. I ran out of the room and attempted to close the door. The moment I applied force, a screeching sound came out from the wind and took the form of red smoke. As I close it, the entities that possessed the staff seemed to be forced to get back to the room. I closed my eyes and used all my strength.

I closed the door successfully. With Lushved entrapped within, now begging for his “master”, to spare his life. After I bought the unconscious and the corpses in the elevator outside the hotel. I called 4 hospital ambulances for the 52 unconscious and 15 deaths and returned to the floor for the final checks. The next thing I heard, is cracking sounds similar to a celery breaking, with Lushved’s agonizing scream.
