Chapter 34:

Ron Of The Desert

Ane And His Seames

Eina kicked Ane in his face. "Eina! What're you doing!?" Ene scolded.

"That's not Ane." Eina replied.

"Huh?" Ene remarked blankly. "How can you be so sure?" he then inquired.

"Well for one; back in the hallway and now; he couldn't even avoid my simple kicks." Eina stated.

"So?" Ene asked.

"Ane's a master at martial arts, Ene." Eina remarked; eying Ene dryly.

"That IS true." Ene said; holding his chin understandingly. "Sure looks like Ane though." he added. Ane laughed and stood up.

"You impress me with you ingenuity, Eina." he remarked grinning and wiping his mouth. Ene and Eina prepared themselves for a fight.

The palm of rocks was clasped tightly and wind blew across the desert that Ron stood in. His hand shot open and Ane dove out of it. "Rocks huh." Ane remarked as he landed on his feet calmly. The sand gave way under his feet as a pillar of rocks hit him upwards; flinging the teen into the sky. "Speed Adjustment X2." Ane thought before using his strength to thrust him downwards where he then fired a punch at Ron who turned to rocks and fell apart before Ane reached him. Ron then reformed behind Ane and fired his elbow which Ane countered around by grabbing the ground and spinning around Ron to the swipe at the man's legs. Ane then kicked Ron away as he fell and the man fell spun to his feet calmly.

"You shall prove to be challenging." Ron said bluntly. Ane grinned.

"I'm gonna be more than just a challenge cause I'm gonna beat you." he said punching his palm.

"You won't be able to beat me down. I am "Ron Of The Desert" after all." Ron remarked.

"Yeah yeah. I get it. You got a fancy title. You know my buddy has one of those too." Ane said shrugging. Ron frowned and rose a palm and gripped. Ane saw a shadow looming over him and turned to see a large hand of rocks gripping around his person. Ane held the hand open and Ron rose his other palm. Ane watched up and saw another hand of rocks. "Shit." he remarked before placing his legs on the palm around him and using it to thrust himself forward. His head butted into Ron's unexpectedly and the man stumbled back.

"This is it!" Ane yelled as he clenched his fist.

"Chaaaaaaa!" Eina yelled as she attacked Ane who ducked.

"Don't be so impatient, Eina. Do you even know who's speaking to you right now?" Ane asked calmly.

"Tsk." Eina remarked; jumping back.

"It's obviously you; Elliot." Ene said but Eina shook her head.

"If it was Elliot he'd have never admitted that I was a genius so nonchalantly without feeding his own ego afterwards." Eina replied. Ane chuckled.

"Wow, brutal analysis." the imposter remarked.

"So who the hell is this?" Ene inquired; frowning. Ane smirked.

"I wonder." he said shrugging.

"You know what. Doesn't matter!" Ene shouted as he shot forward and uppercutted Ane to then be pulled back by vines that quickly wrapped around him. "A nature element; hm." he remarked as he glanced back at Eina.

"Don't be so rash you idiot!" the girl yelled. "I think I know what technique Elliot used." she said.

"Technique?" Ene asked.

"It's a possession technique that transfers one's consciousness into someone's body and refers the victims elsewhere. The catch is whatever happens to the body; affects the actual owner." Eina explained. Ene held his chins thoughtfully as the vines vanished from him.

"So where's Ane?" Ene questioned.

"The device that does such an ability transfers the target's consciousness to the other person's body." Eina answered. "Ane" laughed and Ene and Eina eyed him.

"As smart as always Eina but you're not fully correct...this time." he stated. Eina rose a brow.

"What do you mean? Elliot copied the device or something?" she asked. Ane's eyes were shielded.

"Not exactly. He "upgraded" it." he remarked.

"Get straight to it!" Ene snared. "Ane" smirked.

"Ane and another captured individual are currently fighting to be released. Whoever loses dies." he taunted; laughing smugly. The duo looked pissed.

Ane was about to punch Ron but he seemed to be uppercutted by thin air and Ron then punched him in the chest. Ane coughed as he rolled away. "Shit, my chest." he thought as he sat up; wheezing. "Was it one of his abilities?" he continued thinking. Ron raised his hands in a shrugging motion and his body seemed to gradually turn into solid rock.

"This is the end!" the man yelled as his eyes turned full red. "Body Enhancement: Rock Overall X3!" he shouted after; looking deadly.

"Tsk; how many abilities does this guy have?" Ane thought as he stood up to then hold his chest. "That hit to my chest still aches; I'll have to end the fight soon." he thought; clenching his palm. He blinked and activated the dragon's eyes is sync. "Huh?" he asked; backing up.

"Those eyes; they're "The Red Dragon's Eye"; aren't they?" Ron asked as Ane stared intently at him. "So I'm guessing you see it." the man added. A light brown substance was floating from the sand into Ron who's body had the substance floating all around.

"I understand it'd your elemental energy but why is it coming from the sand?" Ane inquired.

"That's the reason I am called "Ron Of The Sand". I absorb sand which then converts to my own elemental energy which I then use to harness the power of rocks." Ron explained; folding his arms.

"So I guess this is an ability of these eyes. Seeing the enemy's elemental energy." Ane thought holding his chin as he began to see Ron normally. "Let's get this over with then." he then said with a sigh before running forward. Ron barely shifted his leg before Ane was inches from him. An area of rocks spat from the ground but Ane dodged in the nick of time; blood spilling from his cheek. He frowned and ran around Ron as huge rocks seemed to rise from the sand and shoot after him.

Ane flew into the air and descended; spin-kicking Ron who spiked up in defense. Ane held a spike and flipped away; hands bleeding as a hand of rocks appeared around him which he then kicked apart. "Damn it." the boy thought as he ran forward as an area of spiky rocks appeared around where he was moments ago. "Too slow!" he shouted as he fired a kick at Ron who broke into rocks before Ane could hit him. Ron then emerged behind Ane and kicked the teen who tapped the ground to flip to his feet. A huge war hammer flipped towards Ane; rocks covering it and the boy caught the weapon and crushed it apart. "Owww!" he cried; holding his hand.

"Give up!" Ron yelled; folding his hands.

"Tsk." Ane remarked. "I can't seem to get to him despite the fact he's slow. The good thing is I can avoid most attacks from him with these eyes but..." Ane thought; frowning.

"Make this easier for us both and die. You'd never be able to beat me counting the years I've been caged in here which in turn gave me time to store massive amounts of elemental energy. Resistance is futile!" Rob yelled.

"You're right about the fact that I can't beat you in my current state." Ane said as he sat down onto the ground; crossing his legs. "However..." he stated. "Release Seal." he remarked causing the seal on his stomach to spread across his body then shine red. Ron stared silently.

Ane slowly opened his eyes to the dragon's cage and stood. "Hey dragon! I need your help bro!" he yelled. The dragon's eyes opened slowly and laughter echoed throughout the area.

"Bro!?" the dragon boomed; cackling and hitting the ground in amusement causing intense winds to blow across the seal. Ane got flung from the force but immediately flipped to his feet; exhaling.

"What's so funny?" he asked; eying the dragon who glared back making the teen cower back. "L-l-listen I don't know what I did to piss you off but...sorry." Ane stammered.

"Don't make me laugh anymore. You're really gullible....BOY!" the dragon shouted. "I'm not an object for you to use at whim and we're certainly not friends or even allies!" the creature screeched; stabbing futilely at Ane again and growling.

"W-what a pain." Ane said as he stared at the dragon who silently watched back.
