A New Character is Made

Leo: "hmm what's the difference between the races?"

Leo: *messages Britney* hey... by any chance can you tell me what the difference between the races does? like do they have a difference between them or do they not matter?

Britney: *Messages Leo* "if you read their backstory it explains the abilities kinda vaguely like, for instance, the dark elf has the natural affinity for dark magic which means they can use and learn dark magic at lower levels but they learn basic magic at a much higher level than the other races. Another example is the animal people they tend to have a natural ability compared to their animal so a tiger has a bite attack that has an ability of shredding and can cause bleeding damage. so if you read their backstory you can get a hint of what they are capable of. "

Leo: "thanks Britney"

Britney: "yeah no problem just message me if you need any more help"

Leo: "ok I will"

Leo: *thinking* [hmm lets see, so the dark elf resides in the burnt forest of Lamarant where they fought the high elves and the dryads. the war came to an end when the dark elves didn't have any forces to fight back against the armies of elves so it's a rare sight to see one. CLASS DIFFICULTY: HIGH]

Leo reads through the back stories of the races when he comes across the demon race

Leo: *reads out loud* "the demons are a race that appeared out of nowhere and settled in a conquered city that they took over by force. the city used to go by the name of Tabit. the demons seem to be very diverse in all attributes although their features dictate how they battle. the demon race is powerful in a group but alone they can be easily destroyed in a battle. hmm so the demon race has a natural battle sense and its abilities are boosted in a group. they seem to have a high forward movement in battle and their play style depends on how you design the player. so a player with long arms and legs have a heightened amount of reach and if they are masculine they have a higher strength which means their attack is higher but they move slower. so if you change the hight of the demon some abilities are locked but more open up." *Leo picks the demon race* "lets see what happens if you increase the stealth stat" it opens more skills to use such as shadow walk, silent step, and if the stealth stat is maxed an ability called sound void this ability takes all sound away from movement and doesn't show footprints."

*Leo looks at his alarm clock and realizes it is 12:01 am and he needs to go to school at 6:30 am*

Leo: "ah crap I got to get my homework done and go to school in 6 hours... wait most of my work is done all I have to do is highlight this article."

*Leo goes to sleep at 2:30 am*

*5:30 pm Leo logs onto L.O.A.*

Britney: "are you ok Leo. I heard they shoved you to the floor again today."

Leo: "yeah I'm fine don't worry I am online now and ready to get started on L.O.A."

Britney: "are you sure you're fine they do that every week."

Leo: "yes I'm sure I'm fine it's not even like it hurts it's just annoying that they do it but it doesn't bother me though."

Britney: "ok then"

Leo creates his character and continues to load into the game. it spawns him in the starting town that his race is and the game gives him a starter quest.

Quest: "go meet this person: his name is Princeton, located by the forge of Brnyern's blacksmithing. he needs to meet you and welcome you to the town of brackof"

The town is decrepit and the sky is dark with a slight crimson hue in the distance. You can't see the sun but you can see a dark red circle in the sky where it is presumed to be. The people around this area look like they are also new but there are also npc's that look similar to the players but they have a slight glow around them.

Leo: *thinking out loud* hmm so it seems the players have chosen completely different paths from one another. also from the looks of it it seems when you first spawn it's in the home town of the race you picked. *Leo then goes and does the first quest*

Princeton: Hello newcomer I see you have come from the void so what's your name.

a text box pops up and it asks for the characters first and family name then name you would like to be known as

Leo: "hmm" *types Ace and Fato then in the other box he put Ace*

Princeton: nice name and from the Fato family don't let me down Ace. I have a quest for you, I need you to go and get some armour and a weapon from inside. Oh and before you go welcome to the town.

quest: "go meet this person: his name is Brnyern. tell him Princeton told him to get some gear.

Leo: goes inside and talks to Brnyern.

Brnyern: "Oh hello there"

Ace: "hey, Princeton told me I needed to get some gear from you"

Brnyern: "oh is that so, hmm let me see if I have anything that will fit you if not then I'll have to make it. lets see here... hmm so that won't work. yeah so I don't think I have anything that will fit you so ill have to make something for you, but from the looks of you it doesn't seem like you have any strength so here's a dagger so that you can somewhat protect yourself while I make you some armour. boy don't get yourself killed or else the armour will go to waste."

Ace: "Of course sir i don't plan on getting killed."

Brnyern: "ok good you can go now."

Ace leaves the house and heads on to the forest where he then starts to level up from killing the rats located around the town until a demonic-rat comes out and Ace then struggles to kill the rats as his health begins to drop. after Ace kills one more rat he levels up and he regains all stats back as they are set to max ace then get some skill points and falls back out of attacking range of the demonic-rat and he puts 2 of the 6 points into strength and 3 into stamina than the last one into agility. he then puts his skill points in. he has 2, he puts one in to block than the other point into slash

skill description: Slash, is a skill that the user dashes forward and attacks all enemies in and next to the user as they dash forward.

Leo: *gritting his teeth* "I can't die I have to hurry before they start to attack me."

Ace then uses dash to attack 5 rats at once which killed the demonic-rat and damaged the others for more than half health. the skill has a 5-sec cooldown so Ace starts running around the rats waiting for the cooldown to go down then dashed again which killed the rest of the rats and Ace got another level up.

Leo: "already another level up."

the demonic-rat gave almost 5 times the exp as the normal rats. Leo puts the experience points into Ace's skills and abilities. He puts 5 points into agility and 1 point into endurance. he now has 2 more skill points and he puts one into blocking as the higher the skill level is the more effective that skill is. the blocking skill can now block heavier weapons with little knockback. the other skill point went into a new skill called shadow step. which allowed the user to dash completely invisible this skill doesn't deal damage but negates all damage coming in while invisible.
