Volume 1 - The First Wish

I felt as if I'm falling over... or was it me just floating away...? I never knew quite well where my point of reference would be, relative to my body... 

I don't feel any sense of touch, to begin with... I also can't see... Should I really consider that a black void would be something of nothingness...?

After all, without light, there won't be any vision as well... But how about the concept of time...? isn't that related to how light travels in a vacuum?

Wait...! How can I still have my own thoughts?! Kurayami, stay calm for a moment... or would the state of calmness be actually as ambient as the cold void arou--wait!

I can feel the temperature of it?! So that means...

[Just hang in there for a moment, human.]

A voice? I can hear someone... If I can feel the coldness around me, then it means that either I'm somewhat warmer than the temperature around me, or...

[You're correct, human. All of your senses have been impaired for a moment before being transported here on my side. A result of  your soul being detached from your material body.]

Ah... Is that so... That's good to--oh! I can see now! Even though it's kind of blurry... wait no! It's really blurry! I can't see anything from it!

[Is that so...? How about with this magnification, human?]

[Thank you very mu--ah! I can speak now! And see!]

I merrily said as I then started to look around in front of me, when the voice that I was hearing from before said to me.

[That's good to know, human. It seems that every human sense that's linked to your consciousness has been restored now.]

I quickly turned around from where the source of the voice was, and my sight has stumbled upon a figure of a lady who seemed to be on a throne of the right size. 

[Greetings, human. I've never expected someone, whose fate is not tied freely just like him, could appear here in such a short amount of time...]

What does she mean by that?

[Nevermind about that, human. But I would like to apologize on behalf of the God of Disasters, Eris. She was careless with her own job.]

[E-Eh? I-Is that so...?]

If that's the case, then would it really be a freak accident? That there could be a chance for me to go back home...?

[Indeed, we can and cannot do that. We Gods can do that because we have the power to do so. Though we cannot do that because the existence of Gods on Earth is sacred, to begin with, especially with the rules that were established to avoid interference from humans.

Besides... Even if your body were somehow intact, the time has already passed on Earth. You've already been cremated and turned into ash.]

[R-Really...?]

To be honest, I kind of expected that answer from what seems to be the Queen of the Gods who was here a few moments ago. I can't really go back home now, huh...? To be honest, there are a lot of things that I still want to finish there, but I guess I can't finish everything there now...

As I was thinking about that part, the one who seemed to be a Goddess then responded to me again.

[As a compromise for our error, I'll be transporting you, with the authority of the God of Reincarnation, to a new world filled with swords and magic. 

Along with that, I'll also be giving you the reigns of having 3 wishes of your choice. It could be anything like wealth, power, or even girls that you like from that thing called "anime" to be your partner which you can bring to the other world as long as it's according to our non-interference policy.]

Oi oi oi. I also expected you to speak using telepathy as a medium, but I didn't remember letting you peek through my memories of me reading a lot of manga and watching anime.

[Hmmm?]

Nevermind... Anyways... Aside from the possibility of getting reincarnated into another world, there are also any of the 3 wishes that I can use to my advantage...
