Volume 1 - Plans That Would Be Set in Motion

With things moving forward now, it has already been around 2 or so years ever since I was deemed a genius by everyone around me. Both the magic stove and the cold storage boxes, or what I would like to call the "refrigerators" have been selling like crazy within the past two years.

With Moloch-san's company making my ideas into a profitable venture, it has been a no-brainer that the 75% of the profits that they've made have been transferred towards Mama Clara and I's cash balance which made the two of us insanely rich.

Though that didn't stop Mama Clara from serving the Duchy as Mama Diana's personal maid due to obvious reasons.

For me? Mama Clara made me learn complex arithmetic at the age of 4 but I still manage to surprise her here and there so as to not arouse any suspicion from Mama Clara or the others. In the end, Mama Clara decided that I would have an allowance of around 2 gold coins per month.

What do those gold coins value, you may ask? Let's go with the question of what coins are first... Coins are generally the most valued currency that can be used for international and local currency denominator... or in short, common money.

A gold coin here in this world is comparable to around 1,000 US dollars or almost 140,000 Japanese yen. A copper coin in this world is equal to around 1 dollar or almost 140 yen. 100 copper coins are needed to have a silver coin (100 USD/14,000 JPY) which 10 of those silver coins would be equivalent to around a gold coin.

There are also those things called "large gold coins" and "white gold coins" which are equivalent to around 100 gold coins (100,000 USD/14 million JPY) and 1,000 gold coins (1 million USD/140 million JPY) respectively although those coins are on a limited circulation around the world.

Anyways... I guess I need to stop to daydream myself to escape from the actual reality that I'm being trained as a maid within the mansion at all... Since Mama Clara's teachings on how to become a maid are easy to follow, I managed to get hang of it after a few months of training.

If there's something that actually felt a little bit advantageous to me about my training of becoming a maid for my little brother, it is the fact that I can follow Mama Clara outside the mansion for some errands.

She usually shows me around the city of Celeste, the capital city within the Celestia Duchy which is where I'm currently living in right now... There has been a lot of information that I've garnered around me from overhearing a lot of things, and also from interacting with the other people here who have some really nice personalities.

The plan is for me to be Clarence's personal maid once Clarence turns 5 years old. Although while I'll be doing that since it was my Mother and Father who said that, that doesn't mean that I have abandoned the prospect of researching anything related to magic, and making the world's magic technology progress. Far from it, actually...

The magic stove and the refrigerator were a few of the many things that I have yet to release within this world. The prospect of defeating the Demon Lord's army without getting myself to do so is something that's initially done with the world's technology progressing at a rapid pace.

If they can, at the very least, repel the progress that the Demons have made, the more time I would have when it comes to developing a way to kill the Demon Lord in one shot.

I turned five years old this year. And with that, it's only 9 months before I would officially become Clarence's personal maid which is something that I now expect to happen. But that's not what I'm here in the main mansion today. It's for another matter entirely...

[Ah, Moloch-san. Please sit down. Her Royal Highness Diana-sama and His Highness Edmund-sama just left for a prior commitment at Vienna.]

[Ah, thank you Emi-chan. But it's you I'm here for.]

With Mama Clara leaving to get some light snacks, I and Moloch-san were sitting on the sofa in the reception room.

[Oh? Then what brings you here today, Moloch-san...?]

[I've intercepted a rumor from the frontlines. It seems that the elves from the Elievenian Confederation are researching the patent that you've made in regards to the magic stove. 

They've realized that if you were to engrave the fire elemental crystal with a magic circle of a given intermediate class fire magic, it'll create the same result as long as one's mana is sufficient.

They're now currently building a prototype called a "magic cannon" throughout this month. What should we do about it?]

[Moloch-san, it's no loss for us. I've already thought that something like that would happen though I didn't think that they would create something like this within 2 years.]

[It's really fast, isn't it...?]

[No. They were rather slow for that matter...]

[Slow? 2 years is that slow?]

Indeed... The elves from the Elievenian Confederation are primarily known to be an advanced magic-based civilization that existed after the defeat of the Demon Lord, 5,000 years ago. Well... It's pretty advanced relative to the countries like the Holy Empire, and the likes of our Altair Kingdom.

But the problem was that the elves isolated themselves after the Great Magus Elftraut died at around 2,000 years after defeating the First Demon Lord so there are still no records existing outside for any elf-related matters after that time.

To see them developing something like that after two years is something that could've taken around a year... or they probably already had the technology like it. Though if they themselves have already thought about the magic cannons, then it means that guns themselves have already existed in this world in the form of cannon guns.

That's major progress for me, and for the world's development of weapons that would be made to defeat the Demon Lord's army.

[Nevermind about that, Moloch-san... Never tell anyone that you told me this information. If Mama Clara finds that out through other means, I'm fine with that.]

[A-Alright... You have my word for it.]

[Anyways, Moloch-san... I have some ideas that you can implement based on the magic stove and the refrigerators...]

[Ohoooo...? What could those ideas be, Emi-chan...?]

[... A lot of things to be honest... A magic tool that stays warm in the shape of a kettle that's used to serve tea to the nobles. There's also a magic tool that would be like a baking oven, but it's using fire crystals to heat up inside the oven in order to make light snacks which nobles would really want in their kitchen rooms.]

The main reasoning would be that I need Moloch-san to reach a favorable impression to every noble within the Altair Kingdom. With the possibility of a civil war happening in several years, I think that it's something that I need to keep observing.

Garnering a favorable impression to the nobles from those who visit the Celestia Duchy isn't enough to do so since it's usually the Royalist faction who were visiting often here while the Noblist faction is basically rivaling one another. 

That's the reason why I can use Moloch-san's magic tool company to not just garner a favorable impression, but with Moloch-san's excellent information-gathering skills as long as Moloch-san's magic tool company would have a favorable impression to every noble within the kingdom.

[Ooooooh... We're going to market the nobles now, aren't we...?]

[Ah, indeed... I'm sure that the nobles would love it. Especially for baking snacks that would be consumed during a tea party.]

[Is it related to why I'm seeing you in a maid outfit right now, Emi-chan...?]

[How in the world did that connect from us talking about new ideas for appliances, to you just realizing that I'm wearing a maid outfit...?]

[Are you going to be a maid within Celestia Duchy's household?]

[W-Well... Y-Yeah... It's an order from Edmund-sama and Diana-sama after all...]

[Hahahaha! It suits you very well, Emi-chan.]

[Indeed it does... It really fits her really well~]

Suddenly, Mama Clara returned from the kitchen room as she's pushing a server trolley with food for the three of us. The food that she prepared was a lot of diagonally-cut sandwiches with chicken meat and mayonnaise mixed into a single sandwich spread. Other than that, she also has a porcelain kettle with tea inside, and 3 teacups for serving.

Moloch-san was then served by Mama Clara with a plateful of sandwiches and tea on the coffee table while the two of us served ourselves on our own as I took 4 slices of chicken-mayo sandwiches, forgetting that I also have my own tea too so Mama Clara served my tea on the coffee table while sitting beside me.

After that, Moloch-san gave the sandwich a taste after being served by it. As he got the first bite, his eyes widened in surprise. Urgh... I know how this one would turn out...

[Oooooh... This snack's bread and this sauce are a really good combination... Is this the miracle sauce that has been rumored around the high society...?]

[The miracle sauce? Ah... This mayonnaise.]

[Mayonaisu?]

[Yes. If that's the case, then thank Emi-chan for creating that recipe.]

[Nom...nom...nom... *gulp* Unn~! Although Uncle Lois helped me with making it, I think that it's something that only our Duchy is capable of making.]

I exclaimed like a child would do. I remember that time when Clara found out that there was actually no record of the recipe called "mayonnaise" in this world and realized that I was the one who made it.

She scolded me for an hour before Mama Diana, Papa Edmund, and Uncle Lois would stop her from punishing me since they've seen the possibility of the mayonnaise that I've made... In the end, I got out scot-free and what's more, is that it became Mama Clara's favorite sauce when mixing it with her favorite fried chicken fillet, so all's well that ends well~!

[Uhmmm... Clara-sama, do you have plans on selling this mayonaisu sauce to a trading company?]

[Sorry, Moloch-sama... But as Emi-chan said, it seems that she doesn't want to spread this sauce to the populace as of yet since it's something that only our Celestia Duchy can make.]

[Is that so... That's unlucky timing, huh...]

[Not necessarily, Mama...]

[Emi-chan?]

[Oh...?]

[I may have an idea about that, though it may take a year before the idea of mass-producing mayonnaise would actually be plausible...]

At this time around, the miracle sauce which is known as "mayonnaise" has started to actually materialize as a commodity in the world of Tierra... but that would take around half a decade before it could become a commonplace sauce.
