Chapter 11:

Chapter 9: Is it still okay if siblings love the new world?

Is It Still Incest If Siblings Reincarnate With No Blood Relation?

Several months passed as Ryzelia studied the small handful of medical books that were on one of the bookshelves in the main room. He ensured to keep up with his practice on alchemy and the various amount of knowledge that the books held. Overall, things had been going well, until encountered a problem in one of the latest books he had found on the medical craft. The few books that were of rare value contained text in the elvish language. One of the other books had solely been written in the language of the primordials. While Ryzelia spoke the common tongue quite well, he had yet to learn the other languages spoken throughout different the world. While the common tongue was widely considered universal, there were some ancient texts and books that still made use of the different languages.

Maybe it’s time I learn a new language. Could be great to learn elvish. Then I could converse with elves and read their works, Ryzelia thought as he looked over one of the books in the elvish language. Skimming through the book, he knew that it would likely take half a year at most – assuming he was lucky and could learn it quickly. The biggest problem was figuring out how to learn the language without a guide book or someone to teach him. He thought about where he could buy a book but even if he could find a book that explained the language, it was possible that he was incomplete or did not have much on the various scripts used of the elves. Finding an elf to teach him was also near impossible due to the fact there were not many elves throughout the kingdom of Estiatis. Wait, isn’t there an elf in the town of Lyiedinburg? Right, she was a blacksmith that didn’t have any arms and had beautiful feet. She’s an elf so perhaps she could either teach me or at the very least point me in the direction of a book that can help, Ryzelia thought as he stood to his feet.

Heading up to his bedroom, Ryzelia opened his closet and pulled down a small wooden box. Pulling out a small vial of black coloured liquid, he poured it into the lock until it started to overflow. Waiting for a few seconds, he heard the sound of metal interlocking with more metal. The liquid had changed into a solid shape. Ryzelia gripped the solid shape and pulled it towards him, causing the metal pins to unlock. Opening the box, he pulled out a pouch with enough gold coins inside it to buy and run a business for six years. After changing into his usual clothes, he put on his boots and placed the sack of coins in his inner left breast pocket. Ryzelia headed down into the foyer before he noticed Alyice was busy cleaning the large windows.

— Good morning, master. Are you going somewhere?

— Yes actually. I may also need your help if you don’t mind.

— But of course, master. What would you have me do?

— I need someone to drive the carriage and take me into town. I’m going to try and get a tutor.

Alyice tilted his head and raised an eyebrow.

— A tutor? What do you mean, master?

Ryzelia made his way for the front door and motioned for Alyice to follow him to the carriage.

— I want to study the elvish language so I’m getting a tutor to teach me.

— I see. Do you plan to hire them on as a maid too, master?

— Hmm. Elf maid would be nice to see.

After getting the horses and carriage together, Alyice sat on the bench of the carriage and took hold of the reins. Ryzelia stepped up and sat in the sit beside him.

— Do you not wish to sit in the carriage, master?

— I will on my way back if this tutor says yes.

The two of them sat quietly throughout the journey into the town as the sounds of horse hoofs echoed with each step on the cobblestone. Before long, the carriage stopped in front of the blacksmith shop. After asking Alyice to keep the carriage parked, Ryzelia headed into the shop. What was that elf’s name again? Wait, did I even stay long enough last time to know what her name is? Actually, it doesn’t matter, it isn’t like she will remember me, Ryzelia thought as he noticed the young elf girl sitting on the counter. She was busy looking over a piece of parchment while kicking her feet slowly back and forth – all the while, humming a tune in a cheerful manner.

— Excuse me, Ryzelia called out as he approached the counter.

The elf girl smiled as she looked to Ryzelia.

— Greetings. I believe you’re the strange alchemist that left my shop with all due haste.

Crap, she remembers me? She must have a good memory, Ryzelia thought.

— Uh, yes. I had things to do at the time. Anyway, may I trouble you for a moment?

— Do you need a weapon by chance for the girl that came with you last time?

— Nothing like that, I actually wanted to inquire about hiring you for a service.

Ryzelia placed the pouch of gold coins on the counter. The elf giggled as she looked to him with a sweet smile.

— With this kind of coin I can do anything for you as many times as you want. Sorry I can only use my mouth and feet though.

— Yes, yes, that’s fine… Wait… Wait… What exactly do you think this gold is for? Ryzelia asked with a puzzled expression.

— For my services. I may be a blacksmith but I can get your fire going like a bellow.

— I… Let me explain. I want to learn to read, write and speak the elven language. There’s a medical book that is written in the language of the elves, a few actually, so I want to learn.

— Oh! So, you want a tutor and you’re willing to pay… how much gold is in that pouch?

— Only like ten thousand gold coins. That’s only half the payment.

The elf girl was now the one who was shocked.

— T-That’s… half? I could quit my job, open up a business and just get a company to run it for a solid six years! How do you have so much money? Did you kill someone?

Ryzelia tilted his head slightly.

— I mean… the Aytelier family just has money, how is that strange to you?

— Y-You’re from… the Aytelier… family…

The elf girl began to grow ashen from the memories that she was starting to recall.

— Yeah, is that bad?

— N-No… No… I just… What is your name?

— Ryzelia, Ryzelia Aytelier.

— That means… Lyciael Aytelier is your sister, right?

— Yeah, she’s my older sister. Are… you okay?

Like a flood rushing from a floodgate, the elf girl remembered the memories of a time she figured she would forget. She recalled the pain, everything that she did on that day. Her mind raced through each of those memories and relived all of them day by day within a few short seconds.

— I… I don’t think I can be your tutor. Your sister and I have… a history.

Ryzelia thought back to his time with his older sister when she visited the manor. He remembered her speaking about an elf she once dated named Tyiana Rania Farrieth.

— You wouldn’t happen to be Tyiana Rania Farrieth, would you?

— Indeed, I am. I guess… I should explain everything that happened with me and your sister.

Tyiana began to tell Ryzelia about how she entered into a romantic relationship with Lyciael and what led them to the current situation.

— So, you broke up with my sister because you were afraid of outliving her and being alone? That doesn’t sound crazy. I’m willing to bet all those gold coins that she does not blame you at all. My sister isn’t the person who would hate you or be sad just because you broke up with her. If I can offer my advice, you should just talk to her and see how she feels.

— I… I don’t think I could face her.

— You don’t have to. She doesn’t live at the manor I’m at until I turn of marrying age.

— But…

— Look, Tyiana, I’m not going to say anything to my sister, nor will I try to get her to come here. All I want, is to learn more about the language of the elves and pursue my knowledge.

— I see. Well, if you truly are in search of a tutor then I don’t mind teaching you for this amount.

— Are you all right with living at the manor until the job is complete. I’m guessing if all goes well, I can learn it in about six months.

Tyiana looked down at the pouch of gold coins and back up to Ryzelia with a smile.

— For that much gold, I can teach you in two months.

Tyiana hoped off the counter and grabbed the pouch with her toes. Turning on the ball of her foot, she held out the pouch of gold coins and smiled.

— I’ll take the payment when the job is finished, okay?

— Fine by me. If you’re ready then there is a carriage waiting outside.

— Let me just close up the shop and I’ll be right there.

Ryzelia exited the shop and waited by the carriage. He noticed the townspeople staring up at Alyice as if they were all partaken by his beauty.

— Did you manage to find a tutor, master?

— Indeed. She said yes and will be living in the manor for at least two months.

— So you’re adding another girl to your harem, master? Alyice asked in a teasing tone.

— Of course, I need to make sure I’m surrounded by exotic girls seeing as how I am an alchemist. But anyway, enough banter. She will be staying in one of the guest rooms. When we get back, tell Blythe to fix up the room.

— As you wish, master.

After closing up the shop, Tyiana entered the carriage and sat down across from Ryzelia. For a few minutes, there was only silence – other then the clacking of horse hoofs and the chatter of idle gossip. Upon exiting the town, the ride to the manor was smooth and Tyiana finally spoke.

— I have to confess that I’ve never actually tutored anyone before. This will be sort of new to me.

— It’s fine. I’m not looking for a world class tutor here. I just want to be able to understand the language enough to converse, read and write.

— Just go easy on me if I fail to explain something, Tyiana said with a smile.

The ride continued on until they had made it to the manor. Tyiana was starstruck by the sheer size of the estate that her mouth remained open.

— T-This is your house!

— Yeah. Technically, it’s our smallest manor.

— W-Wait… you consider this small?

Ryzelia turned to Alyice.

— What do you think?

— I believe the manor is rather small, master. It is quite easy to clean with just me and Blythe.

Tyiana was at a lost for words.

— Now then, let’s go inside, shall we?

Entering into the foyer, Ryzelia noticed Blythe was busy carrying a basket of folded laundry that was filled with various undergarments owned by Elyiena.

— Ah, Blythe. If you have a second, I need to speak to you.

— I’d wager a guess that you need me to prepare a guest room for your young friend here, master.

Tyiana’s ears twitched slightly as Blythe spoke.

— That’s correct. I paid Miss Tyiana here to tutor me in the language of the elves.

Blythe looked over Tyiana from head to toe like a hawk.

— I see. Very well, master. I’ll prepare one of the guest rooms once I am finished with my other duties.

Taking her leave, Blythe exited the room while Ryzelia looked over to Tyiana and smiled.

— Care to take the grand tour of the estate?

#

After a full three days had passed, Tyiana joined Ryzelia in his study in order to teach him the elvish language. She made him grab the book he was hoping to read as well as a quill, ink and parchment. Usual for most tutors was the fact that Tyiana sat down on top of his desk with her knees hugging her chest tightly. Her flawless pale thighs and legs were on full display. Likewise, her petite bare feet were enchanting to the point that she could rival Elyiena. I know she doesn’t have arms to grip things with but having her as a tutor is going to be a challenge, Ryzelia thought as he tried to keep his mind focused on the task at hand. Tyiana smiled as she wiggled her toes slowly.

— Ready to begin your lesson?

Ryzelia smiled. I’m not ready for the torture I have to endure, no, he thought as he watched her skilfully pick up the quill between her big toe and second toe. With a fluid grace and smooth precision, she wrote out three symbols – each vertical stacked and spaced equally apart. Placing the quill off to the side, onto a nearby blank piece of parchment, she pointed her big toe to the first symbol.

— In our elvish tongue this symbol is is pronounced as « Yina » which makes up the sounds in your language of the letters a, i, n and y.

— So, this one symbol makes up four different sounds?

— Well, yes and no. There are different symbols… what would you humans call them? Sub-symbols? I guess that word works. These sub-symbols are each a representation of the larger symbol in place.

— This sounds like it is extremely complex.

— It can be starting out but once you understand it, all of it is just basic symbols combined to form the word. This is also applied to the other two symbols I drew.

Tyiana pointed to the next symbol.

— This one is « Rthrf » making up the letters f, t, r/l, h. And the final one is « Zeos » for e, s, z, o.

Ryzelia studied the symbols and thought about how they translated into the common tongue.

— Wait, that means there isn’t sounds for b, c, d, g, j, k, m, p, q, u, v, w and x.

Tyiana laughed and rubbed her foot against her other one.

— Yeah, our language lacks some sounds which can often cause mistranslations in books. It’s definitely hard for many trying to learn the elven language. Hence why there is only a small handful of people that know how to even speak our language.

— Wow, makes me wonder just how many people have tried.

— Your sister mastered it within a month.

Ryzelia suddenly found himself lost for words. He knew his sister was gifted and talented but he never knew that she knew the language of the elves or that she had mastered it in just a single month.

— Oh, she also learned the demonic language too in a week, Tyiana said placing her finger against her cheek and looking up at the ceiling as if she was trying to recall correctly.

— She learned demonic… in a week…

— Might have been two. Either way, she learned both elvish and demonic, so if she can do it, I know you can do it too.

Ryzelia looked over the symbols once more and tried to commit them to memory. He knew it would take some time but he was committed to learning the elven language. This was one thing him and Lyciael had in common. The two of them always strived to complete something they started or learn everything they could. Of course, his older sister was far more open-minded about many different things – such as intersexual relationships with a sibling. Still, he tried to learn what he could within the bounds of lines that he did not wish to cross.

— Would knowing about elven culture and the history help?

— Not really. I can enlighten you on some basics but if you want to know how to read, write and speak the language, then you have to do it, Tyiana said with a cheerful smile.

Picking up the quill and dipping it into the ink, Ryzelia grabbed another piece of parchment and began drawing each of the symbols. A full hour passed before there was a knock at the door.

— Excuse me, master. I brought some snacks and coffee for the both of you.

Tyiana stood to her feet and took her place in the chair next to Ryzelia. Alyice placed the tray of snacks on the empty space of the desk, along with the cups of coffee. Ryzelia grabbed one of the cookies on the tray and dipped it into his coffee. After taking a bite, he returned to his studies.

— Master, perhaps you should take a break.

— You’re right. Tyiana, are you okay with taking a break? Maybe you could tell me more about elves.

Tyiana smiled and nodded.

— Sure, I don’t mind.

Hugging her knees to her chest and crossing her legs, Tyiana thought about where to start. There were many things that elves did differently than the average human. While they did look similar to humans, they were endowed with mana in their bodies upon birth. When the elves intermixed with humans, the mana began to vary from elf to elf. Most elves learned how to use magic by as early as six-years-old and mastered it usually by the age of seventy or so.

Tyiana recalled all the times she learned about magic and practised it until she mastered it by the age of sixteen. Afterwards, she took up combat and learned how to fight with a large war hammer. Combining her magic with her skill of the hammer made her become infamous for her unique fighting methods.

— So, all elves have mana running throughout their bodies? Alyice asked.

— Yes, in particular, the mana is strong in our feet.

Tyiana smiled as she propped her feet on the desk and spread her toes slightly. Ryzelia could feel himself becoming aroused from the sight of the flawless petite feet of the elven maiden. On her left ankle was a golden anklet that had a small chain running down and wrapped around her second toe. This alone was enough to entice Ryzelia, even Alyice who fidgeted around with the hem of his skirt to hide what he was feeling underneath. Her toes were painted a turquoise colour that matched her cyan coloured tips as well as the rest of her outfit.

— Our feet have the strongest amount of mana generally within the soles of our feet. It can vary from elf to elf with some having a stronger reaction near the toes, others at the ball of the foot. For me personally, it’s just below the toes.

Tyiana took a second to grab her cup of coffee, gripping it between her toes, before taking a sip.

— We’re also extremely sensitive on our feet. It’s how we track and hunt in the forests so well.

— S-So… if someone was to touch your feet would there be some indication of mana running through your feet, Alyice asked as he used one hand to hold the hem of his skirt down.

— Not exactly. While there may be some, it isn’t much to notice. Not a lot of people get to touch an elf’s feet.

— Because they’re sensitive? Ryzelia asked as he shifted around a bit.

— That and just the fact that for us elves, touching our feet is…

Tyiana closed her eyes for a moment and thought about how best to explain what she was trying to say.

— I guess… you could think of it like sex. Maybe that isn’t the best way to put it but for us, touching our feet an intimate experience. It’s something two lovers would do if my words are making sense.

Putting her feet back down on the floor, Tyiana stood up and looked to Alyice.

— Do you think you could show me where the bathroom is again? I’m sorry for the trouble. I still haven’t memorised the layout of this manor.

— It’s no trouble at all, Miss Tyiana.

Alyice exited the room as Tyiana followed behind him and down the hall. She normally did not have trouble navigating a small building or a large open forest but traversing the vast spaces and winding hallways of the manor always through her off balance. Combined with the carpet underneath her bare feet, she failed to determine her location. The two of them turned a corner and stopped at a door that was green and stood out from the other brown wooden doors.

— I apologise again, I’ll be sure to remember next time.

— There is no need to apologise, Miss Tyiana. I live to serve my master and all guest under this household.

— This manor is just so different from the forest and small house I lived in. The shop was also pretty small in scale too so I was able to get around easy. But here…

Alyice giggled.

— Yeah, it can be a lot to take in. Don’t worry though, Blythe and I will be sure to help you in any way we can, Alyice said with a cheerful expression.

Tyiana entered the restroom and relieved herself of her full bladder. Once she was finished, she exited the restroom to see Alyice still standing around waiting to lead her back to the study like a shepherd leading a flock. Yet, there was something still on Tyiana’s mind. She recalled what she had witnessed in the forest between the two maids. There was no mistaken that maid in front of her was the one she had seen being tickled and teased until his moans echoed loudly throughout the calm forest.

She would have normally looked away but there was something between the two of them that kept her enthralled. The way Blythe teased the soles of his feet, using her own feet to release him of the mana bubbling up inside of him, for her, it was like watching a beautiful blending of two colours to form a radiant gradient – a sunset, nature, the night sky. Still, she knew that she could never speak a word of what she saw to anyone but it would live in her mind forever. All she could do was smile and pretend that she did not see anything. Entering into the study, Tyiana could see that Ryzelia was hard at work trying to learn the symbols and recreate them perfectly.

— I see you’re still working hard, Tyiana said with a smiled as she looked over what Ryzelia had done.

He had managed to draw out all three symbols ten times until he was able to draw them relatively perfectly. Tyiana sat down on the desk and held out her foot.

— What? You want a foot massage? Ryzelia asked.

Tyiana giggled like a little girl, her laugh was considered infectious and often was a pleasurable tone of sounds that many men would offer themselves to her just because of her voice.

— I don’t have arms, silly.

— Oh! Right, sorry… I… uh…

Ryzelia was unsure what to say as he handed the quill over to her. She quickly dipped the nib of the quill into the bottle of black ink and wrote out a few words. Looking over the words for a moment, Ryzelia struggled a bit to figure out the words. In total, Tyiana had written out four words. While they were clearly different words, Ryzelia could see that they were similar in a way.

— Care to take a guess as to what these words are and what they mean?

— If I have this right, the first word at the top should be « Ryaniia », followed by « Ryaneea », « Enyaeth » and « Inyaeth ».

— You actually pronounced those correctly but what do that mean? Tyiana asked with a smug expression.

— I have no idea. Mother, father, sister, brother?

Tyiana smiled and patted Ryzelia’s head with her foot. For a moment, Ryzelia blushed slightly, his cheeks a soft shade of pink. He shifted around in his chair as he placed his hands in his lap and held his skirt down to try and stop himself from getting aroused.

— You’re actually not too far off. Okay, well, you have them wrong but you have the right idea. The word « Ryaniia » means ‘older brother’ and « Ryaneea » is ‘older sister’. Care to guess what the other two mean?

— « Enyaeth » would be ‘younger brother’ and « Inyaeth » is ‘younger sister’.

« Ana », Tyiana said in a cheerful tone.

— I’m guessing that means ‘good job’ or something similar?

— Technically, it means ‘correct’ but you can translate it to a congratulatory statement.

— I am starting to think that the elvish language is more about the relative context of what is meant rather than a literal translation.

Ryzelia remembered the language spoken it his old world and how more often than not, the context of the phrase could be understood without needing to add in filler words or indicating who was speaking. A common example was the use of a simple phrase like ‘I am eating’. If the person was eating instead of adding the words ‘I am’, they could simply say ‘eating’ and it was understood that they were the ones eating.

— That is exactly it. In the elvish language, it is more about the context than a literal meaning of the word. For example, let’s use a simple common word.

Grabbing the quill with her toes and dipping the nib into the bottle of ink, Tyiana used her other foot to slide a piece of blank parchment over to her. Writing down the word ‘thank you’, in both the common tongue and elvish, she began to write out and explain just how the elven language worked.

— So, on the left side I’ll write out all the different ways your language has for the word ‘thank you’. There is ‘thanks’, ‘very thankful’, ‘thank you so much’, ‘I am thankful’, ‘grateful’, ‘appreciate it’, ‘obliged’, ‘gratitude’ and the list goes on. All of these have different tones and are used in different situations between a formal and informal conjecture.

Writing out the symbol for ‘thank you’ in elvish, Tyiana smiled as she pushed the paper over to Ryzelia.

— « Orinathe », is the only word one needs to say all of these words.

— And how would I say ‘understand’ or something equivalent? Ryzelia asked as he looked to Tyiana.

Grabbing another blank piece of parchment, Tyiana wrote out a few common words in her native tongue, along with a few phrases in order to help Ryzelia. She even ensured to give translations that were relatively close to what the word meant and even made notes of the basic grammar in the phrases of the elven language.

— This should help you get the basic understanding of the language.

« Ria yi », Ryzelia said with a smile.

« Zote! »

— I’m guessing that means… ‘you got this’?

— It means ‘good luck’ but close enough. Now, I think we are done with your lessons for today.

Tyiana smiled as she hopped off the desk and twirled on the ball of her foot. She allowed her body to relax and unwind for a moment before looking to Ryzelia.

— Practise what we learned today and if you stick with it, you’ll be able to speak our language in two months, I promise.
