Chapter 13:

Chapter 11: Is it still okay if siblings accept their feelings?

Is It Still Incest If Siblings Reincarnate With No Blood Relation?

Stopping at the edge of the town, Ryzelia slowed the horse’s pace to slow trot. Entering into the town, he wondered exactly where Elyiena could have gone. Although the town was small in comparison to the city, it was still larger than the manor. Okay, she’s mad. Best guess is she bought a room for the night at the inn and is staying there, Ryzelia thought as he made his way to the inn. Inside, cleaning up one of the tables, was a young child that was dressed in a white blouse with a black corset accented with a hint of orange colouring. Her frilly skirt was of two layers of orange on top of white. The girl’s bare legs showed and were enticed by her brown leather boots that stopped just above her ankles. Peaking out of her skirt was a long apricot coloured tail that matched her medium-length wispy hair with a small braid tied on the left side of her bangs. Atop her head was a white beret that hid her cat ears protruding from her head.

Ryzelia looked around the room and noticed that there were only a few customers sitting at the tables. All of them were focused more on their food and paid no attention to Ryzelia as he made his way up to young looking child. The girl smiled as she made a cute cat-like gesture.

— Oh hey, Ryzelia. What brings you by here? Nyan~

— Hey, Ryistaria. Got a question for you. Did Elyiena rent a room here for the night?

— She did. Left soon after that though. No idea where she went. Nyan~

— I see… thank you.

Ryzelia could only sigh under his breath as he headed for the exit. Before he could leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he could see Ryistaria looking around as if she was making sure no one could hear her. Leaning into his ear, she whispered softly.

— You didn’t hear this from me but I believe she went off to kill the hongrois in the northern forest. Nyan~

— Ryistaria… you realise that if you were only person that knew of Elyiena’s whereabouts and told me, then it is painfully obvious that I heard it from you.

— I’ll simply tell her you tricked me. Nyan~

— That’s a no-win situation for me…

Ryzelia sighed but smiled as he looked to Ryistaria.

— Thanks.

— Nyan~

Heading due north and into the forest, Ryzelia carefully made his way through the thicket of trees until he could hear the sounds of combat in the distance. Rushing quickly, he continued towards the fighting until he reached a meadow. It was the first time he had seen a large lumbering hongrois but the books that he read described them as gigantic towering beasts with a disproportionate head that did not match its body. Their skin was unusually coloured in a mossy green hue with abundant hair growing throughout. Hongrois were known for their voracious appetites and often devoured the flesh of humans, elves and demons – in particular they enjoyed female elves.

Elyiena was focused on her battle with the beast that she failed to notice Ryzelia standing off to the sidelines. Although she had yet to be hit with any sort of fatal blow, she was verging on the door of exhaustion. While Elyiena had trained for many years, this was her first real fight with a beast that was twice her size in height and weight. The shear power behind the hongrois meant it was near impossible to block any attack from the beast. She was only able to dodge and strike when an opening presented itself. This in turn, caused her to tire out quickly.

— Elyiena!

Hearing the voice that shouted her name forced Elyiena to take her eyes off the threat ahead of her.

— Ryzelia?

Hongrois are weak to fire and a few other liquids. I just need to throw it in its eyes and light the fuse of one of the bombs I have which should kill it if I can get it directly into its mouth, Ryzelia thought as he pulled out a vial with green liquid in it.

— Elyiena, I need to tell you something.

Rushing forward while calculating the correct arc to throw the liquid into the monster’s face, Ryzelia spoke.

— I’m sorry about what I did. You didn’t deserve that. I was stupid to think that just because we were siblings in the old world that it meant we would be siblings in this world. Still, I love you!

Gripping the vial in his dominant hand, Ryzelia closed the distance between him and the beast until he flung the closed vial of liquid for the monster’s eyes. As he had calculated, the hongrois reeled back in pain as it tried to regain its eyesight. Pulling out a spherical object packed with gunpowder, Ryzelia reached into his coat pocket for a device that would spark the fuse on the bomb he had. Light it with haste, he waited for the creature to roar and tossed the bomb into its mouth. Within a few short seconds, the monster became headless as its head shot out into tiny pieces.

Thinking quickly, Ryzelia pushed Elyiena to the ground, landing on top of her. He covered up the two of them as best he could with his coat, using it to shield himself from the raining brain matter. Within moments, the hongrois fell to the ground with a thud. Well, at least I know the bombs work… and that I probably need to get this coat washed. Pretty sure that’s brain matter I feel on my back, Ryzelia thought as he looked around the meadow.

— Are you all right, my beautiful wife? Ryzelia asked with a smile.

Elyiena blushed as she covered her mouth. She was at a lost for words at what she just heard him say. Cleaning out her ears quickly, she smiled.

— Sorry, I didn’t hear you correctly. What did you say?

— You heard me.

Elyiena smiled and kissed Ryzelia’s lips gently.

— Thank you.

— Shall we head back to town and sleep at the inn before we return home?

— I’d love that.

Ryzelia helped Elyiena to her feet only for her to fall into his arms.

— I guess you’re still exhausted.

— Yeah… That was my first time fighting a beast like that.

Bending down slightly, Ryzelia offered to carry Elyiena on his back. Deciding to take him up on his offer, Elyiena allowed him to carry her while she rested her head against his shoulder.

— You know, it was pretty cool the way you took down that monster. Should have worked on your heroic line though, Elyiena said with a giggle.

— Oh yeah? What should I have said then?

— You could have been like, ‘Elyiena! I want to suck on your toes’, followed by striking a cute girly pose.

— Sounds like you’re okay to walk the rest of the way.

— No! Please continued to carry me. I’ll let you do whatever you want to my feet, Elyiena said in a cute and seductive tone.

— You know that you can’t always use that as bait.

— But… you know you want to.

Ryzelia was silent for a moment. Nether of them spoke for a moment, until they reached the town. Entering the inn, Ryistaria greeted Elyiena with a smile.

— Glad to see you’re okay, Elyiena! Nyan~

— Yeah, it was no problem. You mind if I have my key?

Ryistaria nodded and grabbed the key to the room from the wall. Afterwards, Ryzelia carried Elyiena to the room on the second floor. Once she was on the bed, Elyiena collapsed into it like a brick.

— Now this feels nice.

— I bet. Want me to remove your boots?

Elyiena smiled as she closed her eyes.

— Mhm. You shouldn’t even have to ask that.
