Chapter 49:

Sid's Past

Ane And His Seames

Sid sat on the school roof; wind blowing into his hair as he watched down. His body buffed into his adult form and he eyed his hand. "Why'd I get pulled out?" he thought to then get a flash of Abigail; Lana's mother. "I remember now!" he yelled. "I could never forget you...Abigail." he whispered; smiling sadly.

Ane, Lana, Ene, Lisa, Eina and Sid sat in the living room and Sid had a grave expression. "What's up with him?" Lisa whispered to Eina who shrugged.

"Why are we here anyway, Sid?" Ene asked.

"It doesn't matter. School hasn't properly reopened yet anyway." Ane stated.

"That is true." Lana added.

" Whatever." Ene said sulkily.

"I have a rather grave matter to discuss." Sid remarked; eying Lisa who gulped.

"We're listening." Eina said; folding her arms.

"What was the name of the woman Lana has sealed in her." Sid said. Lana's eyes were shielded and Lisa watched her.

"Abigail...she's my mom." Lana whispered; swallowing hard. Sid smiled.

"What is it?" Ene questioned impatiently.

"I knew Abigail before." Sid said.

"Wait what?" Lisa asked quickly.

"That's impossible though. You're a teen and I'm sure "Abigail" was sealed in Lana for quite a long time now." Eina stated.

"I've never met her." Sid said.

"I see." Ane said. Eina watched him blankly. Sid morphed into his adult form.

"I have though." he stated after.

"What in the hell?" Eina asked; an eyebrow raised.

"This is..."Ane began to then go blank.

"I am Sid actually. The teen is my younger brother." Sid explained.

"So...your brother is in you?" Eina asked.

"My brother tried to possess me at the verge of his death and it resulted in this." Sid explained.

"A soul transfer? I thought only gods could do that." Lisa remarked.

"Or someone smart enough to find a way to recreate such a technique." Sid replied.

"What can you tell me about my mother?" Lana then asked; eying Sid. Lisa rose an eyebrow at her sister but said nothing.

"Yes; I'll get to the point." Sid said. "Before when the elemental station bared most of the elementals; half of your mom and I were roommates." he began.

"Half?" Lana inquired quietly.

A young Sid sat on a bed wearing a white t-shirt and white pants with an emotionless face. A door was opened and he watched across the fully white room to see a girl in a white dress who had pearlescent white eyes, titanium white hair with a burnt umber(shade of brown) strand in front who resembled Lana. A scientist shoved her in roughly. "Don't touch her you bastard!" Sid yelled; charging the scientist who kicked him away. The boy fell to the ground and the girl stood over him; arms outstretched.

"Please forgive him!" she begged.

"Tsk." the scientist remarked before walking out; door slamming behind him.

"Come on, I had him." Sid said as he sat up and frowned.

"No you didn't." the girl said stooping. Sid watched away; pouting and the girl hugged him. "Thanks for trying anyway." she whispered making Sid blush.

"Whatever. So what'd they do to you this time Abby?" he asked.

"They took some of my blood and showed me this girl named Gayla who's the same age as us." Abby replied.

"Those bastards." Sid said with a frown.

"It's okay." Abby said smiling. Sid blushed again and looked away nervously.

"I saw your mom." Abby remarked.

"I don't care about her." Sid replied.

"She rose you for seven years." Abby stated.

"And then gave me away to be experimented on. I haven't seen her for six years now." Sid remarked. Abby's eyes were shielded.

"She has a big belly." she whispered.

"So she's pregnant, huh." Sid said dryly. "Oh well." he said as he stood.

"Sid." Abby said. Sid turned to her. "If I were to ever disappear; what'll you do?" Abby asked.

"I'll crush what or whoever caused your death." Sid answered; clenching his fist.

"Okay." Abby replied. Sid eyed her suspiciously.

"Why'd you ask?" he inquired.

"It's not important." Abby said; smiling. Sid sighed and turned away. Abby suddenly hugged him from the back. "Love you." she whispered. Sid went red.

"W-w-w-what?" he stammered.

"Just kidding." Abby teased as she hopped off to her bed. Sid pouted.

"You jerk!" he yelled; storming off to his own bed. Abby was smiling but a tear trickled down her face as she lay on her bed.

Young Sid lay fast asleep in the room. "Are you ready Abby?" a male voice asked; waking Sid who opened his eyes to the wall.

"Uh-huh." Abby replied.

"What's going on?" Sid thought.

"Did you tell him?" the male voice inquired.

"No; I didn't have the courage." Abby answered.

"Well it doesn't matter." the male voice remarked. Sid turned to see Abby being escorted by the male scientist from before and two buff men.

"Abby!?" Sid inquired as he sat up.

"Sid...you're awake." Abby said nervously. Sid frowned and clenched his fists.

"So that's what it was." he said before rushing the scientist. "You bastard!" Sid yelled. A buff man kicked him in the stomach and Sid's eyes rolled up as spit flung from his mouth. He got tossed into the wall from the blow and he eyed Abby dizzily and she stared back sadly. "Let...her...go!" Sid cried; causing a black aura to spit from him. The scientist's eyes were shielded by his glasses as he stared at the boy.

"Interesting but....for another time." he remarked before walking off to then stop abruptly. "Guards." he said. A buff man rose his hand.

"Knockout Gas." he said as gas sipped from his skin. Sid's aura vanished as he fell to the ground. He weakly eyed Abby who stood in the doorway.

"Ab...by." Sid said weakly; passing out.

A slashing sound was heard and Sid slowly opened his eye to his bleeding hand. "Oh crap." he said sitting up to see Conner; Ane's uncle stooping before him. "Did you cut me bastard!" Sid yelled.

"What a way to thank me." Conner remarked.

"Why would I thank you for cutting me!?" Sid asked in disbelief.

"Well for one; I stopped the circulation of the chemical in your blood. It seems the knockout gas sips directly into your bloodstream rather than your respiratory system like you'd expect." Conner explained. Sid folded his arms.

"So in other words; you helped me." he said. Conner nodded. "Thanks...I guess." Sid said watching away.

"So tell me...what's your name?" Conner questioned.

"Sid." Sid replied.

"My name's Conner and I'll be helping you today...or night. We'll be stopping these experiments for good!" Conner yelled; clenching his fists determinedly. Sid's eyes shone in admiration.

"Yeah!" he exclaimed; nodding.
