Volume 1 - Appraisal

Although quite unplanned for... My energy capacity has been expanded for a single day which lets me write 3 chapters in a day (in my timezone) which is quite tremendous for me!

So I decided to post 3 chapters today with the next chapter going to be posted by the 20th! For now... Enjoy reading!

I could understand the fact that I would gain Chantless Casting from earlier... and... well... probably the Cooking and the Maid skills...

But to gain both my father and mother's attributes as well... This isn't good for me...

[Emi-chan, are you good...?]

[Eh? Ah... U-Unn... I'm good.]

[We just need to wait a little more before the appraisal ceremony so it's normal to be nervous...]

Mama Clara patted my head for a little bit as I got distracted from trying to focus on everything that I need to hide... Changing the name... hiding some things... anything that I need to hide with my Information Concealment Magic... if it works, then it needs to work... 

Reducing the signature of all the elemental attributes that I have to what's bearable... Fire... Water... Wind... those can be left alone...

For skills... anything that's related to the Hero skill... as well as my blessing... But how could I do tha--

[Emi-chan, the magistone crystal ball's ready... Can you put your hand on the crystal ball?]

I nervously said as I was disturbed by Mama Diana who called me. I then approached the crystal ball that was on the table itself with Mama Diana sitting on the chair on the other side of the table.

When I put down my hand to the crystal ball, it made me feel like there's something that's sucking out to my body towards the crystal ball itself... and then... the crystal ball shone with the colors; red, blue, green, and a little hint of the color white in the middle.

Mama Diana's eyes widened as she immediately moved her face closer to what she was trying to see from the crystal ball, and then when she nodded herself, she responded...

[Alright, Emi-chan... You can take off your hand now... I'll let Clarence do it this time...]

[Unn~!]

It was Clarence who responded to Mama Diana's call as he immediately puts his hand on the crystal ball which the ball then shone 3 color types of light. One is the color red, the other would be the color gray, and the last one is the color green...

[Alright, Clarence... It's finished... I'll reveal what Clarence has first, before revealing Emi's...]

[Clarence has both Fire-Attribute and Wind-Attribute Elemental Magic... Not just that, but he has already achieved a B-Rank Skill which is the Lightning Attribute... Other than that, Clarence has what it takes to be both a Support-type and an Offensive-type Mage.]

Support-type Mages are really helpful within a party. Any support-type magic is always in conjunction with those who can do Barrier Magic... and especially... S-Rank Magic, the Non-Attribute Magic. 

For Clarence to have that, while also having the means to have an offensive-type with not just Fire and Wind, but also the rarer Lightning Attribute. Although I'm quite nervous right now, I can still feel that the Celestia Duchy family is home to many prodigy-level individuals...

[Ehhhhh?! Why am I not a swordsman like Father?!]

[Ahhh... That doesn't really mean that you would stay like that, Clarence... Jobs are really temporary, and the Goddess of Creation Anastasia is a benevolent God... If we persevered through hard work, then you might become a Magic Swordsman like your Auntie Clara there.]

Phew... That just avoided a cataclysmic event there, huh...? Anyways, after Clarence responded in that manner, he then kept quiet afterward as she then cleared her throat and said...

[Alright... For now, I'll announce Emi-chan's appraisal... But first...]

Mama Diana said as my nervous feeling only grew more... I felt really nervous now that Mama Diana knows what I really need to hide the most which is the sole fact that I’m a reincarnated being. Although I assume that she wouldn’t know who Nakamura Kurayami… or who I really was in my past life, I’m still quite nervous in that manner…

[What do you mean by that, Diana?]

[What I meant is the fact that other than the five of us who were in the adventuring party, the Head of the Kingdom’s Court Mages, the Head Commander of the Royal Knights, and Elena herself too, Emi-chan is a possessor of an S-Rank skill.]

[[S-Rank skill?!]]

[Your Royal Highness… Someone possessing an S-Rank skill would have such a possibility of around 1 in a million people…]

[Indeed Clara, that is correct… But she doesn’t just possess a single S-Rank skill, but she possesses 3 S-Rank skills which are her job as Magic Swordsman which is an S-Rank job. Maximum Mana Regeneration which restores the mana of that individual to full capacity in exactly a minute at best, and Magic Power Operation which is usually a skill that’s usually reserved for golems, and non-sentient being summoning. 

Having 3 S-Rank skills is actually a lot rarer than having a single SS-Rank, but it doesn’t mean that having an S-Rank skill makes the use of it more powerful.]

Indeed... the appraisal only appraises the rarity of the said skill, but not how powerful the skill would be since it's highly dependent on the proficiency of that person with their skills.

[O-Oh… I-Is that so, Your Royal Highness?]

[Yes Emi-chan… From now on, train with your Mommy Clara earnestly until the age of 11. I and Edmund will cover the 50 gold coins that would be your tuition at the Arciesian Royal Academy.]

[Wait, seriously Dian- I mean Your Royal Highness?!]

Arciesian Royal Academy...? If I am right about that... that school is home to one of the best students on the entire continent... But... the matter right now is whether she has found out about it or not...

I quickly kneed while bowing for that order that Mother made… And to be honest, I’m quite baffled that she didn’t unveil the other things such as blessings and such...

[Before we all go, Clara… I want you to escort Clarence for a bit outside while we talk to Emi about everything that she has with her respective skills for a moment.]

Mama Diana said to Mama Clara with such a stern and serious face as Mama Clara’s expression became serious that she almost furrowed her eyebrows before sighing heavily and replying.

[As you wish, Your Royal Highness. But please don’t be too stern towards Emi, okay?]

As Clarence and Mama Clara left the room with Father actually locking the door on the inside and went out just to lock ourselves here with Mother… So… With that action alone... It means that something's up, huh... Then it means that I've failed.

Mama Diana said as the two of us sat down in front of one another at the coffee table inside the room we were on. 

I sighed heavily as Mama Diana's face tilted a bit with a curious look on her face...
