Physical training

Days passed as Lan Du's academy life continued peacefully.Her arm has fully healed after instructor Ting bought her the medicine as an apology.

Lan Du clenched her fists and smiled.

"Feels good be be able to feel them again"She suddenly began giggling to herself

"Oh how I missed the feeling of beating someone down to the ground with my own two hands, the virtual training world just won't fill me enough"Lan Du laughed sadistically as her room mates stared at her in fear.

'We're doomed, now that her arm is healed, we might get beaten!'

This though went through all three of their heads at the same time.Lan Du was just too scary, she may look calm at times but other times, her personality just scares them.

They left the room in a hurry, afraid that Lan Du would use them as meat bags to punch around.Lan Du chuckled as she watched them run off.

Lan Du then reached behind her pillow and took out an orb shaped device.There was two palm shaped prints at the side and at the centre was a small screen.

Lan Du closed her eyes and focused her spiritual energy within it.

Numbers began to pop up in the machine.When she opened her eyes, she stared at the screen which displayed a number of four hundred twenty.

'My spiritual strength actually rose by this much!It was only around two hundred when I last checked!'

Lan Du smiled, this was good, the higher her spiritual strength was the better.She then focused her spiritual strength once again and the numbers began to drop until it hit two hundred.

'good, I can still hide it'

Lan Du placed the device back behind her pillow before she left for class.Lan Du was now in an extremely good mood.

Today's class was also taken over by instructor Ting as she is to observe how the juniors are doing in theri training sessions.Due to this, the physical training has increased by many times.But Lan Du didn't mind as she was durable enough, but her classmates were a bit...rustier.

They would collapse from instructor Ting's training once in a while due to exhaustion.Lan DU began wondering if she also had a crazy title for how strict she is.

And at the start of the week, Lan Du will try and finish as soon as she can so she could go to the virtual training zone.

"Lan Du, when can you come over to my place, I can't wait to see you in a dress"Hong Ling nagged Lan Du and held her arm.

Lan Du felt helpless, but she had to keep her promise so Lan Du agreed on a few days later on Saturday where they are more free than the other days.

Lan Dy then entered the virtual training zone, when she arrived in front of the arena, her group was standing at the front in a neat line.

"Welcome boss Du!"

They said in unison as they bowed

Lan Du found it to be very awkward and she stood out too much, but to keep up her image, she kept a fierce aura around her.

"You fools have gotten much better at not screwing yourselves over, but your physical abilities are still pathetic!Meet me outside the training ground in the real world!I will be monitoring your physical training!"Lan Du shouted

If she wanted her group to grow stronger, then they must improve their physiques.Of course she won't reveal her face either.Lan Du's height is already known by everyone in the virtual world as aa bit shorter than others so there isn't any troubles about that.

As for finding out her identity, she will also cover up her white hair which is the most attention attracting part of her.

The seniors were all excited, they finally get to meet their boss in person!

Lan Du then logged out the virtual training world.She put on a fox mask and put on a hoodie where the hood covered her hair.Although the day was hot, to hide herself, Lan Du was willing to take some extensive measures.She then went to the training ground where the group already gathered at.

When they saw someone wearing a mask and a hood walk up to them, they were confused at first.

"um, fellow student, we are currently busy with something here, would you please leave?"number forty four walked out and said.

Lan Du chuckled, she grabbed his hand and twisted it.

"Number forty four, this number indeed suits you, piss off your boss again and your number will become your life"She said coldly.

Number forty four shivered, he suddenly realised who it was in front of him.

"b-boss Du, I apologise, I wasn't able to recognise you"his voice trebled and his body shook.

Lan Du released her grip and turned to the others.

"I have reasons to hiding my face, but you will know it some day, but now isn't the time, once you have completed my training, I will reveal to you who I am"She said calmly

The seniors nodded, they now felt a sense of urge in wanting to complete her training.Lan Du's identity was something they all wanted to know, who was this boss that has beaten every one f them?

Lan Du pointed towards the weights behind her that was prepared at the training grounds and said:

"everyone will put on twenty kilos, twenty five if you feel confident"

The seniors all took out a twenty kilo weight and some who had a stronger body chose the twenty five.Lan Du herself took the forty kilos that shocked them.

"You all will be running with me, if you cannot finish...I have prepared a new training course for those who fails, heads up, you might not get out of bed for the next week"Lan du said threateningly

All the seniors in front of her felt a chill run down their spine.Their boss is scarier outside the virtual training zone than she is when inside.Now the damage inflicted on them will be real, no longer just virtual.

"Now get running you helpless fools!"Lan Du shouted

The group of seniors all began running, Lan Du ran at the front to keep up with them.The more they ran, the more out of breath the seniors became, but despite their exhaustion, they were more shocked that their boss had a relatively normal expression as she ran.She only had a tired expression and sweated a bit, and here they are dying of exhaustion!

"Have you fools not eaten breakfast!get running!"She shouted

'h-how does he still have strength to shout at us, he is clearly the one with the most weights'

This thought was what all the seniors running thought of.The seniors at this point began huffing, their breaths grew heavier and heavier with every step they took.

Their lungs felt as if it was burning and their heads felt heavy.

'boss's training is pure insanity, how are we suppose to run like this!'

Lan Du turned back and saw that they were about to collapse.

"Take a break, we are continuing after a ten minute break"Lan Du said

The seniors all stopped and collapsed at where they stood.They didn't even bother going back to the benches from how tired they are.

Lan Du also stopped and sat down next to them.She pointed towards the bottles of water at the bench

"go get the water if you feel like it"She said

Some of the seniors were too tired but they still went to grab a drink.If they didn't they might actually die from the next part of the training.

When they came back, they decided to get Lan Du a bottle of water as well.They passed the bottle to Lan Du who just sat on the floor.

Lan Du nodded and took the bottle of water.After she opened the cap, all the seniors leaned their heads in.Lan Du paused and glared at them.But seeing them not backing away, she tilted the mask a bit so the top of the bottle reached beneath the gap and began drinking like that.

The seniors felt a sense of disappointment when they saw that Lan Du had no intention of backing away.But they saw the sides of her face when she tilted the mask.It was much smoother than they expected and seemed very delicate.

Lan Du stood up

"It seems that you guys are getting bolder and bolder, everyone will now grab an extra five kilos and begin running!"Lan Du said coldly

"Boss!We're sorry!"They bowed and said

Lan Du sneered

"Say another word and I make it ten kilos"

The seniors quickly ran to grab the five kilos before Lan Du forces them to get the ten kilo weight.Twenty and twenty five was enough already, thirty would just break them completely!They began wondering how their boss was running with forty kilos like it was nothing.

"Damn maggots, get running before I break your leg and make you crawl!"Lan Du shouted

The seniors became startled and began running like they never had before.Lan Du was just too cruel!

"Yes sir!"

They began wondering if Lan Du was related to instructor Lu and instructor Ting, the two most well know instructors due to their strictness and harsh training.If someone said that their boss was their son, they would believe it no problem.

Lan Du threw insults at them every now and then to make them keep running, she even threw threats at them to make sure they don't slack off.

The seniors wondered if they will ever know their boss's identity.With this level of training, will they survive to the end?

After hours of running, Lan Du stopped them.

"I will call it a day, get some rest, I expect you people to do this training every day, if you are unable to do more than today by next week, I will have to give each and every one of you, a personal visit"Lan Du then left after she said those words.

The seniors fell to the ground, people who passed by wondered if they were even alive at some point.

Lan Du took off the mask and hood after she walked a good distance away and wiped her sweat.There was a satisfied smile on her face after she had left.

It wasn't everyday that she was able to scream at people however she wants to.She enjoyed not only the training process but also the process of reprimanding them.

After she left, instructor Ting arrived at where the seniors were training and saw them all on the ground panting heavily.Not too long ago she was informed of unnaturally harsh words heard from the training ground so she was sent to check what happened.

But she didn't expect a group of seniors on the ground breathing like it was their first time.She hurried over with a curious expression.

"What happened here?"She asked

Number thirty which was the most durable of the bunch replied:

"We were just training"He said

"What type of training caused you all to drop like this?And why are you all doing this in the first place?"

The seniors smiled bitterly

"Boss Du had us do it, we don't want to disappoint him so we had to push ourselves"Number thirty said proudly

Instructor Ting frowned

"Who is this boss Du, and what does your training have anything to do with disappointing him?"She asked curiously

Number thirty smiled and replied enthusiastically

"Although we don't know what boss Du looks like, he has defeated all forty eight of us at the same time, we recognise her as boss but for him to recognise us as her subordinates, we must become stronger"He said

Instructor Ting nodded, she wanted to know more about this boss Du, it seems that he has the ability to make the students moral rise dramatically.She wondered what this boss Du did to achieve this.

"I was reported that many unusually harsh words were thrown around here, does that have anything to do with teh training?"

The seniors all scratched the back of their heads shyly

"This...boss Du is a bit...odd when training, if we don't match his expectations, we will be punished, what you heard may have been that"Number thirty said with embarrassment.

Instructor Ting rubbed her chin

"What was your training, I'm curious as to what he had you do"She wanted to see the training regiment of this so called boss Du and see how intense it is for herself.

"well, we were all required to wear a twenty kilo weight and ran for a while, but half way through, we pissed him off because of our own foolish actions and he increased the weights by another five kilos out of anger, we only finished now"He said bitterly

All the seniors now regretted trying to find out Lan Du's appearance, but they also felt guilty that they betrayed his trust.He had stated that he would show them his face after they have completed her full training, yet they still tried to peak.

Instructor Ting gasped in shock

"Twenty five kilos is not something you people can handle, how did you last this long?"

All the seniors now felt awkward

"um, boss Du wore forty kilos as he ran so if we fell behind...we wouldn't dare to face him so we had to push ourselves"

Instructor Ting grew more and more shocked as she listened.There was actually someone who wore forty kilos to train!Even some of the top senior students only wore thirty to thirty five at most!

She shook her head

"How often does he want you to keep this up for"She asked seriously

Number thirty replied

"Every day, he said if we cannot beat today's limit next week, he would be visiting each and every one of us personally..."He shivered at the very thought and wanted to keep running if not for the fact that his body was already exhausted.

Instructor Ting began wondering if instructor Lu had a nephew or even a son, this harshness was not something that anyone can force onto students unless they trust him or her completely.Yet this Boss Du somehow managed to convince over forty people to do so!

She somewhat admired this talent in raising such high morals, even some of the best instructors might not be able to do this!

"I see, rest well, I hope you all survive under his training"She was now very curious about this boss Du's identity.
