Ark 1 side story: Lulunise Gen Seawed

When going in the dungeon with Leo… I was so incredibly happy, I can’t even describe it! Leo always make sure we have enemy we can fight before us and when more powerful monster come in, he help us with his magic and sword.

Truth is, the reason why I even learned how to use magic in first place, was to be more helpful in our dungeon dive and little more useful to him.

I was so happy every time I crossed blades with him while training… His posture and handling of sword got me excited so much! He always kept his calm appearence during our training, but I picked up his smile when I used new technique so I learned more of them to see him smile more and more.

And then… it came. He walked me home and I confessed my feelings.

I’m still blushing behind my ears when I remember that.

W-we even kissed… so it’s good to call us a couple right? Right?

I knew he was going to have Warrior’s blessing ceremony when he returns home, so I decided to continue training and soon enought, I became level 49.

When I said that to father, he was so happy that he made sure I can have my own ceremony as soon as possible.

That was when it happened. Diring said ceremony I heard a voice „You are strong sword saintess, but to stand next to a dragon, you need more power“

After I returned home, I fell asleep for two whole weeks. When I woke up, I became an unawakened Majin.

Majins are said to be masters among masters of magic and martial arts and I became one! Wait, does that mean Leo is also one? He should be, he's as strong with sword as me and he has magic on top of it...

When I said so to father, he prepared a unit of level 30+ warriors to challange floor master of Grubera dungeon.

The monster I had to defeat was a Dragon Ork king. Basicaly high leveled ork with scales and wings. But the ‘dragon‘ is only in name as I was able to cut off it’s hand with single slash of my sword. You would never be able to do that with real dragon after all.

We defeated the Dragon ork King and treasure chest appeared before us. From things that were there, I chose a sword for myself.

Despair of dawn. That’s name of my new sword. It has dark magic imbued in it and it gives fear status to anyone who’s cut by it. The sword is bastard sword in shape with hexagonal cross-section. The blade is blackish blue and handle is made from silverish material and white leather. The scabbard was unique as well, becouse it has self-repair skill added to it, so after cleaning the sword I could just put it in scabbard and it would repair by itself over some time.

Of course, becouse I got the last hit (and many in between) on that monster, my rank as explorer skyrocketed and I was to have a meeting with the king.

„So this is the Sword saintess of Seawed family,“ the king smiled and father replied without rising his head.

„All right, then. I shall bestow upon the girl hononary baronness title and she will become personal guard of my daughter, Victina.“

I recieved a rank, although only hononary and became guard of the princess.

Thanks to this, I spend most of my next year with the princess and her sickly twin brother. It seems a lot of twins were born in our generation huh?

„Huh? That’s Leo’s handwriting…“ I said and my heart started beating violently when I saw letter much thicker then any Leo ever send to me. I know that, becouse usually his letters have five to six pages, but this one is thick as a book!

„Oh! So he really send it!“

The princess practically jumped out from her bed and zipped to me right away and took the letter from my hands forcibly. She took a book from it so my heart calmed a little.

„Princess, what about rest of it?“

„Take out marriage proposals and return them immediately. If there is something from scholars of magic academy, then put it to my study.“

The study, the princess is talking about is room next door to her bedroom with magic reasearch themed books. She and Leo are onlyones in the entire kingdom who can use Space magic… wait.

„Ah! How long have I waited for this! So these are his magical formulations! I’ve never thought about something so simple yet so elegant! Truly magnificent!“

„Leo really is amazing…“ I said with downcast eyes.

In next moment Princess was standing next to me. „Hmm… say Lulu, you love Leo am I right?“

„Wh-what?! N-no…“

„No? Then it’s okay, if I take him,“ princess smiled teasingly.

„You can’t!“

„So you DO love him,“ the princess grinned.

„I… I do…“

„Hm~ you sure are a good girl, I wouldn’t mind having you as a second wife.“

„Huh?“

„What’s so suprising? It’s normal for nobles to have multiple wives when they are powerful. Nobles like my father, the king and Leo's father are rather rare you know? Having only one wife and all.“

„It certanly is rare… but to be second wife…“

„Certainly, daughter of one of the most powerful barons and hononary baronness to boot wouldn’t look good from begining, but Leo is unique. I’m sure that before we even enter the school, he will have a title of his own. At that time, he will certainly have a lot of girls around him, which will aim for position of his second or third wife. That’s when we will step in, a princess and Sword saintess as wives? Who can beat that!“

„By always being by his side… but, there are others.“

„Who are you talking about?“

„Kiira and Taru, they are around our age and they are always with Leo. Then, there are Ruzu and Tifaana, but they are older then him, so I don’t think he would put his hands on them… and that Goli… urgh, that rude lizard…“

„Hmm, seems like we have quite a lot of rivals then… Alright, let’s talk with his father personally! Leo is now away from home training troops so we can talk with him the moment he returns!“

Princess as cheerful as ever when it comes to magic, left the room to speak with her father and he gave it a green so after few weeks we embarked on a journey together with around hundread soldiers.

„Could I ask you something princess?“ I asked in the carriage.

„Sure, what’s up?“ the princess looked up from her reasearch on space magic.

„I know it might be seen as rude, but why did you decided to marry Leo?“

„Oh, that? It’s simple enought. Our fathers decided that at least one of their kids should marry if they desire so. But it never worked out. And then me and Leo were born. On the same day of the same month and year. And even around same time as well. That's what father said, but for me... and we both got space magic and all basic elemental magics. Our magic research on space magic is another thing. He waves magic like poem simply, but elegantly, I never thought that answears on my questions would be so close! And while dancing, I got a feeling of his character too.“

„Dancing?“ I asked while tilting my head.

„I mean, when he took you from those noble girls,“ the princess smiled teasingly.

I remembered that time very quickly and fondly. It was an amazing evening I could neven forgot Leo smashed a stone and precious diamond poped out—

But in that moment our conversation was stopped from outside.

„Your highness! Please stay inside whatever happens!“ the soldier said and I looked out of the window.

There a giant black wyvern was massacring soldiers in front lines.

Leo, it seems we will never see each other again… I wish I could say how much I love you.
