Chapter 9:

A Father's Prayer

Seeking Utopia

After a very long day, Opal finally gets back home exhausted. The lights were closed at home. Everyone seems to have gone to sleep. She quietly and slowly walks in her room. She finds Griffin sleeping at his desk. “Oh dear… what got you so hooked today.” She notices a drawing on his desk. It looks like a sketching of three flowers. "Three...are they meant for the kids?" she says to herself in a low voice. Tiny flowers drawn on a thin stem, and four leaves facing upwards. A Hyacinth. The stem and leaves were colored in green but the flowers were left uncolored. Perhaps he wanted them to be in white?  She suddenly realizes what they mean and smiles.
