Chapter 18: Against dragon PART 2/2

After that dragon got me and my mind faded, I was once again in familiar white room with pale blue table.

„The divine realm? So I died…“

„No, not really,“ an uninterested voice answered me. It was voice I remembered well.

„Skill god huh? So what is happening right now? What about the girls?“

„Don’t worry about them, not even a minute has passed since I took you here. It was really something manipulating those Frenzied bears into attacking that dragon you know?“

„So you bought time for Taru to heal me right? Why doing that?“

„I have something to tell you, and… well… those geezers played with you so I played with them, you could say?“ the girl smiled mischeviously.

„What do you mean?“

„You know that King skills have sub skills right?“

„Yeah, the [world library] and [skill weaving] right?“

„That is true for King of Wisdom, but not for King of Greed.“

„King of Greed have sub skills as well?“

„Yes, and thanks to Creator goddess’s meddling you have them blocked. But there is a way to unblock them.“

„Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you want in exchange.“

„I like that straitforwardness of yours. Okay I’ll tell you. There will be a disaster that even us gods can’t stop. You probably already realized what is going to happen right?“

„Barrier that’s keeping the demons in their realm will break right? That is only explanation why that wyvern and Forest dragon were demonized.“

„You are smarter than the Creator goddess was thinking you are. But back to the main topic. I will make you my [Apostole].“

„What is the merit in me becoming your Apostole?“

„You will get power rivaling Ancient dragons, and becouse I’m a Skill god, you will be given part of my power. In other words you will be able to create your own skills or pick already existing skills from a list. Even unique skills are available for you to choose from. Although you will be allowed to do that only once every ten years or so. We have to think about power balance right?“

„Aren’t I already breaking it?“

„Oh, you wish! There are many people with more then one unique skill. And handful of them have more then ten.“

„Alright, alright. So, if I become your Apostole, what will you have me to do?“

„Kill the evil dragon lords, make peace with demihuman tribes like the Sea dragonfolk guys you already rule over, kill demons and angels on spot and most importantly, protect the saintess by all cost. Do not let people touch her.“

„Wait, saintess is in danger?“

„There is a ritual that will sacrifice her unique skills in order to summon a hero. You have to stop that.“

„Okay, I understand… or I hope I do…“ I said and extended my right hand, „But by standing and doing nothing I won’t be able to help people I care about, so let’s do it.“

The Skill god grabbed it and golden light enveloped us.

„From now on, I will be always by your side. When you come to any church, we will be able to talk together. Now be awaken, my King of Greed!“

I opened my eyes. Golden light I saw in divine realm, was still enveloping me. I looked at my status and found my newfound power.

Title: [Apostole of Skill god] All stats increase by 1 million when in battle against superior monster, unique skill creation availible once every ten years.

„Create unique skill,“ as I whispered those words, a list of unique skills appeared before me. I went through the skills and found one I knew I would need in this battle.

The skills name is Indomitable. Skill that gives it’s wielder power to surpass all hardships. It also contains subskills called Abnormal status nullification and Resist all.

By aquiring this skill I lost all my resistances and nullification skills I gain so far. After all I didn’t need them, my new Unique skill combined all of them with skills I even didn’t know I could get.

Everyone was now looking at me.

„I’m back,“ I smiled and transfered next to the dragon and touch it before it could even react.

„Time to shine! Absolute greed, activate!“

Subskills of King of greed are Material greed, Wealth greed, Absolute greed and skill extraction.

Material greed. This skill give you Soul power when you collect material riches, it also affects living things.

Wealth greed is skill that gives me Soul power when I gain large quantity of money.

Skill extraction allows me to create skill orbs by extracting skills from soul, but it require Soul power to do so.

And lastly Absolute greed. Skill to steal Soul power from living things.

Soul power is something that binds this world. More Soul power you have the easier it is to gain skills and Unique skills as well. Also only those with Soul power higher then 1000 can gain a unique skill, when met with certain requirements. But when you hit zero Soul power (SP for short) you die. That I learned by unlocking the King of Greed’s full potential.

GRROOOOH!!!

The dragon howled in pain and fell to ground dead. I took all 2,121 SP he had. The light faded and I looked at my friends.

„LEO!“ Kiira and Taru tackled me right away. Lulu was standing little to the side crying.

I grabbed her hand, „I’m back Lulu.“

„Yes. Yes, you are,“ she smiled through her tears.

After they all calmed down, I took the dragon corpse in my Item bag. I checked my status and although I didn’t leveled up, I got the skills from that dragon, just like when I normaly use King of Greed. The skills I got are Nature magic, Nature manipulation and Lord’s ambition, which is inferior version of King’s order, but still a unique skill nevertheless.

„We should head back to look at the damages the monsters did,“ Kiira said.

„Yeah, we shou– what is that?“ I said as I was looking through the dragons nest for something valuable.

„What did you find Leo?“ Taru asked.

„I-It’s an egg.“

„Whoa, a dragon egg?“ Kiira’s eyes widened.

„Guys I also found something!“ Lulu called us from other side of the nest.

When we got there, the egg in leather bag on my shoulder, we found a strange magic circle and dead body.

„That— that’s body of Gustau, he was serving the first prince of Beast kingdom!“ Taru said with wide eyes.

„Servant of the first prince? I see… it’s possible that the prince survived and staged the attack of the wyvern on the princess and then he continued with attack on Netrose family becouse of pain we caused him… well his body isn’t here so he’s probably still alive.“

„Leo, do you know something about this magic circle?“

„It looks like summoning magic circle, but I never saw such a strange spiky pattern… I will tell father about this. Now let’s go home.“

„SURE!“ they replied happily and grabbed onto me.

"Uhm... guys?"

"You were dead for few seconds, we just need to be sure you are okay!" Lulu said.

I can understand that, but why is your hands slithering on me like snakes? And Kiira! Don't pinch my bottom! Taru could you stop trying get inside my shirt?!

"Stop it you guys!!"
