Epilogue

So the girl rode through the dark tunnels of the city of Umevar. Once the train reached the surface, she was greeted by the stars, visible in the dark night sky. She extended her hand towards the light, trying to grasp the tiny stars, but the window stopped her advance. She wondered what it would be like to leave forever. To go and never return, fly free among the stars on the night sky. The girl smiled sadly. She would not run away again. The city of Umevar was cold and rotten, but it held things that meant everything to her in its grasp. The price of running away was far too steep.

The train taking her away sped into the night, but it wasn’t running away. It was simply going to bring her to her next stop, where she could plot, hope and scheme to take back everything ripped out of her poor young heart.
