Chapter 4: The Alliance

MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: United by Destiny

Chapter 4: The Alliance

A round table where each seat seemed as if it’d belong in a throne. There was no “head” of the table because each man and woman felt as if they were the head. At this table was some of the most prolific villains within their respective universes. Together they formed an organization known as The Alliance. Going around there was Albert Wesker (Resident Evil), a former umbrella operative who’d recently taken over the company in light of the companies’ demise, liquidating most of their assets into a company known as Tri-Cell. But in reality it was just Umbrella in disguise and the all too familiar Umbrella logo was still being used at certain facilities just so Tri-Cell has plausible deniability. At Wesker’s side was his bodyguard. A woman in a black trench coat and blue jumpsuit, and wearing a plague doctor’s mask.

Magneto (X-Men) leader of the mutant run Brotherhood, and anti-human activist. Feeling that mutants are the key to proper human revolution. But despite not being in his own world he still felt right at home at this table. Accompanying him was the brute known as the Juggernaught (X-Men). A massive beast of a man who was nearly invincible. There was also Seth (Street Fighter), a robotic vessel for the now deceased dictator M. Bison, and leader of the remnants of Shadaloo. He fancied himself the strongest at the table. Especially since he received combat data from his new peers. All except for Magneto. Whom he wasn’t a fan of. At his side was Vega (Street Fighter). A handsome yet capable fighter who always wore a mask to protect his beautiful complexion.

Other major members included Loki (Avengers) the brother of Thor, former King of Asgard, and God of Mischief. Known most famously for his invasion of New York with the help of the Frost Giants of whom he was technically related despite considering himself Asgardian. Red Skull (The Avengers), leader of Hydra and rival to Steve Rogers, Captain America. And then there was Sigma (Mega Man X). A powerful reploid/Maverick Hunter, and enemy to humans as well as the arch nemesis of X and Zero. And much like Seth he was more or less completely robotic. Unlike Seth he was aware of what Magneto was capable of and even feared the powerful mutant and his mastery over magnetism.

There was the powerful vampire lord Demitri (Darkstalkers). And synonymous with Demitri was Jedah (Darkstalkers). Though one a vampire and the other a demon the two were familiar with each other. And though they never considered themselves allies they knew that if they stuck together they’d appear more threatening than if they stood on their solo merits. There was Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin (The Avengers). A powerful fighter in his own right but also a genius scientist. Though his company Oscorp didn’t exist in this universe he was still considered formidable. Lastly there was Horace Belger (Final Fight). Leader of the Mad Gear gang. Despite being a “boss” he knew he was a bit out of his element. After all he was just a chubby crime boss with a gun and a gang of ruffians with lead pipes. And when it came down to it he was essentially just a jobber. For now he was just trying to remain useful and keep his seat.

Together they formed a powerful alliance of villains who were now hell bent on world domination! Pooling their resources to finally achieve this goal while the heroes were still fractured. And despite being the most powerful of the powerful they still had minions. Even some minions that could almost be bosses themselves. Minions like Hugo (Final Fight), The red gargoyle Firebrand (Ghosts n’ Goblins), The conqueror Ronan (Guardians of the Galaxy), The B.O.W. Nemesis (Resident Evil), the sexy but evil Juri (Street Fighter), Victor Creed, a.k.a Sabretooth (X-Men), Arkham (Devil May Cry) a human who became a demon after sacrificing his wife, and finally Crossbones (The Avengers) subordinate to the Red Skull. Many of these minions having their own small time subordinates.

And lastly there were two seats left at the table. Seats reserved for two people that Wesker had been anticipating. Seth wasn’t too pleased with the idea of having two more people that would have a seat at the table however and as those two finally showed up, he made his voice known. Because as the door to their shared throne had opened there they were. The Dark Phoenix, Jean Grey (X-Men). And of course Vergil (Devil May Cry).

“So, you’ve finally arrived…” Said Magneto.

“Welcome!” Wesker boasted. “Please, have a seat.”

“We’ve heard what’s going on here. I gotta say I don’t normally play well with others…” Vergil told them. “But I couldn’t miss out on this.”

“…” Dark Phoenix was suspiciously silent.

Seth stood in anger. “Please! These are the two we’ve been waiting for!?”

“Is there a problem?” Magneto asked.

“Obviously!” Seth yelled as he pointed at the two newcomers. “We’ve been holding off our assault for these two puny humans!?”

“Jean Grey is no human…” Magneto reminded him.

“And Umbrella intelligence shows just how capable this Vergil is too.” Albert Wesker then chimed in with. “They are worthy of a seat to the throne of the world…” He said as his orange eyes glowed through his sunglasses.

Seth was angry and their words weren’t doing much for him. But before Wesker could attempt to talk him down there was a red alert. An alarm sounded as the well lit throne turned beat red. Wesker then motioned for Vega and prepared the Nemesis. He looked at security footage showing BSAA Captain DeChant, Spencer (Bionic Commando) who was sporting a robotic grappling arm and acting as the squad leader, The Falcon (The Avengers) a.k.a Sam Wilson, and Balrog (Street Fighter) a powerful boxer and former ally of Vega. Along with some special forces troops and BSAA members

“Vega!”

“Yes?”

“Let’s go. Your friend is back, and he brought backup. So sharpen those claws of yours.” Wesker said as he called the Nemesis and left his bodyguard to Magneto.

“Yes sir!”

As the villains assembled outside it seemed as though Spencer, DeChant, Falcon, and Balrog were ready for a fight. As well as a handful of soldiers. But as Wesker, and Vega met them outside they were soon joined by Nemesis. Nemesis jumping down from the top of the building behind Wesker while yelling in a gargled voice “STARS!!” DeChant immediately appeared threatened.

“Something wrong?” Spencer, the Bionic Commando asked him.

“Uh… a little bit. Wesker and the Nemesis. Both powerful B.O.Ws at this point.”

“Nothing we can’t handle!” Said The Falcon.

“Hmm.” Wesker moaned with a devilish smile. “I’m not so sure. Even if you defeat us you’d do well to retreat afterwards considering the forces inside…” Wesker said.

“You mean even more of you whackos inside!?” Balrog said.

“Not too late to join the winning team.” Vega said plainly.

“What?! No way!” Balrog said as he pumped his fist. “Those weirdo's in there aren’t right man! Come on you gotta see that! And Seth… he ain’t right!”

“Well you may be right there…” Wesker whispered to himself.

“Well Balrog you should have listened to your friend. But I suppose there’s no changing your mind. Needless to say you’ll pay for bringing them here…” Wesker then looked Spencer and his Bionic arm up and then down. “But maybe it was for the best!”

“Enough talk! Let’s do this!” The Falcon, Sam Wilson yelled as he opened his wing suit and flew into the air ready for a fight.

As Sam Wilson, The Falcon prepared to shoot at Wesker, Nemesis would set the precedent as he took out a rocket launcher. A literal anti-air “Sam” launcher at this point. As it locked onto him Nemesis pulled the trigger and out came a heat seeking rocket. And then *BOOM!* The Falcon was gone. Spence, DeChant and Balrog stood shocked.

“Falcon! No!” Spencer yelled before looking at Wesker angrily.

Meanwhile Seth was still yelling angrily and making an ass of himself in the throne room of The Alliance. The more he went on and on the angrier Vergil had become. Putting his hand on the handle of his sword the Yamato. But just as he was thinking of dispatching Seth…

“Quiet! You seem to misunderstand what this is…” Magneto said. “The whole point of this alliance of ours is our strength in numbers. And if you’re not with it then you’re not with us!” Magneto told him as he slammed his fist on the table.

“HA!” Seth laughed. “Numbers huh? Don’t forget that my forces, Shadaloo make nearly 40% of our total forces! Without me this so called “Alliance” is but a joke!” Seth said confidently.

“Is that so?” Magneto asked rhetorically.

“Absolutely!” Seth yelled as he puffed out his chest.

“Curious. Juri?”

“Yes Magnet man.” Juri hissed.

“You’ve been promoted. You’re now in charge of Shadaloo!”

Juri smiled sadistically. “Works for me big man!”

“What!?” Seth roared with confusion. “You can’t do that!” He yelled as the Goblin laughed.

“It looks like you’re out!” The Green Goblin jested as the rest of the Alliance either laughed or looked at Magneto like he was crazy. Sigma then gulped nervously knowing that at this point Seth was likely doomed.

“Old man! I’ve seen your powers of levitation and I must say, I’M NOT IMPRESSED!” He yelled as Seth floated into the air. “LET’S SEE HOW YOUR POWER STACKS UP TO MY POWER! M. BISON’S PSYCHO POWER!” Seth yelled, as he prepared to strike down Magneto.

Magneto then smirked, having nothing to say to the raging machine. Seth then flew at Magneto in preparation for a fight. And as he roared he’d soon be stopped dead in his tracks. Magneto had seemingly stopped with his mind. Seth was angry and perplexed. Floating in midair but no longer of his own volition. Now he was under Magneto’s thumb. Magneto holding him in place as his hand was raised and fingers extended.

“What… what is this?” Seth asked nervously.

“A demotion. You know to me… a machine like you is even more pathetic than a human.” Magneto laughed as his smile then turned to a frown. Magneto closing his fingers as Seth slowly began to be crushed, Sigma looking away during this interaction.

“N-No! St-Stop it!” Seth yelled in pain.

Outside Wesker was still fighting DeChant and Spencer. Vega in a fist fight with Balrog as Balrog put up a good fight. Sucker punching Vega’s mask right off of him. But this made Vega very upset as he brandished his claws. DeChant then shot several .45 caliber rounds at Wesker as Wesker dodged the bullets with ease. All while Nemesis dispatched of the BSAA agents and Spencer’s special forces.

“Darn! I can’t get a shot in!” DeChant yelled as Wesker moving like shadow, briefly appearing and disappearing easily.

DeChant and Spencer kept the gunfire up but to no avail. And it wasn’t long until Wesker had appeared between both of them. It was then that Spencer threw a punch with his Bionic Arm and then… he missed. After Wesker dodged his hit Spencer had actually knocked out Captain DeChant. DeChant flying back as Spencer looked on in shock.

“Nemesis!” Wesker yelled.

“STARS!”

“Take care of that BSAA agent!” Wesker yelled as Nemesis leapt to destroy Captain DeChant, and unfortunately he would succeed.

“Why you!” Spencer yelled.

Wesker had gained some distance however so Spencer had no choice. He had to use his grappling arm to get ahold of Wesker. And as luck would seemingly have it he would succeed. Grappling Wesker’s arm. Spencer smiled, but this smile would be cut short. Because after he’d grappled Wesker’s arm, Wesker used this to his advantage. Wesker then took Spencer’s arm and spun Spencer into the wall of their base. Crushing the concrete block as Spencer fell to the ground motionless and defenseless.

At the same time Balrog was throwing these powerful punches while grunting but they were all missing. And just as he thought he was about to get a good hit out Vega disappeared behind him. He raised his claw and plunged it into Balrog’s back. Balrog’s eyes went wide before closing and he fell to the ground. Vega then used his shirt to clean his claws.

“Light’s out for good old friend…” Vega whispered.

As Spencer struggled to crawl away Wesker stood before him. Wesker smirked as his devilish eyes glowed. Spencer beat up and injured was struggling to get away but he knew that this might mean light’s out. He turned from his stomach to his back to face his opponent.

“Well… looks like you’ve won!” Spencer said angrily. “So go ahead, destroy me too!”

Wesker laughed. “I don’t think so…”

“What?” Spencer asked nervously and confused.

“I quite like that arm of yours. I Wonder what type of monster I could create using the T-Virus or G-Virus?” Wesker pondered. “Perhaps a Bionic Tyrant?” Wesker said with a grin as he stroked his chin.

“Huh? No. NO!” Spencer yelled but he would soon after be knocked out.

“Don’t worry… you’ll love it. I would know.” Wesker said.

As Wesker reentered the throne room while carrying an unconscious Spencer by his utility belt he saw a metal cube that was being displayed on the table for all to see. And as Wesker sort of expected there was no Seth to be heard nor seen. And at his seat was Juri. But Wesker wasn’t surprised. He threw Spencer onto the ground and took his seat as if nothing had changed. Nodding at Magneto as Magneto nodded back. By this point too Vergil, and the Dark Phoenix had taken their seat.

“Well it seems like everything has been taken care of.” Wesker said as he leaned forward in his seat and looked at the cavalcade of villains amongst him. “Let’s get down to business then!” He said with an evil glare.
