The unexpected truth

PART ONE

It was the end of the competition. Saint Arts Academy won the first contest from the other first years.

We still have a chance to win the overall contest. But I have to get back at this Keno guy.

I noticed a small scar behind his left ear when he gripped my neck with his elbow.

And he said that he already knew me. He hated the fact that someone was talking about me.

Sashi Mai.

When the gala was being held, I noticed Sashi-san talking to Keno-kun for a short moment. But I didn’t think much of it because of all the other girls there.

They’re siblings. Sashi Mai and Keno Yunai are siblings.

I know that Sashi Mai has a weak spot for me. I will use his sister to beat Keno Yunai in the upcoming contests. By manipulating her, I can grow closer to Keno Yunai, and when he doesn’t expect it, I will crush him.

I am going to use Sashi Mai to beat Keno Yunai.

PART TWO

I have been ordered to the Director’s Office.

“Take a seat, Gazo.”

I took the seat in front of his desk.

“I want to tell you that I’m not mad about the competition. Your injury has been made worse because of the contest.” Omura-sensei said.

“It’s nothing. If I had been more careful, that would’ve not happened in the first place.” I replied.

He looked at me from his desk for a short moment.

“Gazo, do you know why I enrolled you here?”

He is going to tell me the reason for having me join the school. Finally, he will tell me. I always tried to think about it, but I never came to a conclusion.

“Sakai Rumi is the sole reason I had you join this school.”— I looked at him, surprised when I heard about Sakai-san. “As you have seen, she likes to ‘play’ with our school boy's hearts. And I didn’t have a choice but to have you come here.”

“Why me?” I asked.

“In middle school, I have seen how you are, Gazo. And I knew If you came here that you could possibly change her.”

“So from the very beginning, my task was to change Sakai-san’s behavior.— How?”

“Just by being you.” He replied.

He saw something in me that could change his problem, Sakai Rumi.

“I know this is not a good way to find this out, and I’m sorry for making you do all this. But you have to understand why I need you.”

He lied to me, and he wanted to use me.

“Tonight, come to my house. My wife will make us dinner. And we will talk about this. You can decide after today if you want to help me.” The Director said.

After that, I left school and went home.

PART THREE

*Ding, dong, ding, dong.*

I rang the bell from the house of the Director.

A lovely-looking woman opened the door.

“You must be Gazo. Come in.” She said with a smile after seeing me.

“You’re right on time, Gazo. Take a seat!” Omura-sensei, who sat at the dinner table, said to me.

The food looked amazing and very appealing. You could tell that a lot of love went into the cooking process.

We three started to eat.

“Gazo, about the most popular girl. Sakai Rumi. What do you think of her?” Omura-sensei said out of nowhere.

Hearing this made his wife look directly at me.

I thought a little about it and just simply told the truth about what I think of her.

“I despise her. Her being in that school irritates me. She acts like a diva. I hate the parents that brought her up in this bad way.”

I put a spoon full of rice into my mouth and looked up. Their reaction was a surprised one. They didn’t expect me to say that.

“Mom, is dinner ready?” A loud girl's voice said while coming down the stairs.

It was the devil Sakai-san.

Omura Kojuro’s daughter is Sakai Rumi.
