Robbery over a toy

Lan Du's words even reached Yuan Min, he felt enlightened by her words and even felt grateful for her for saying it to his soldiers.He has realised that his soldiers has been too lacking in experience lately due to how peaceful the place has been.There is few battles so the new recruits lacked combat experiences.

He walked over to Lan Du

"Thank you, your words are very motivational, it has changed my soldiers completely"He said with a smile

Lan Du giggled

"I'm glad to be of use to you"She said sweetly

'Cheh, who the hell would want to help you?All you care about is your damn soldiers, if not for the fact that these soldiers were so pathetic, I wouldn't have helped, if they got scared by something in the future, how would the people view soldiers?I will not tolerate useless soldiers!'

Lan Du on the surface was acting sweet and cute, however in her mind, she was pissed just from the fact that Yuan Min spoke to her.

'If I ever meet his son, Yuan Cai, I should give him a proper hello...should I break his left hand or right?'

Yuan Min smiled

"You're a very kind person, but you only show this kindness to allies, I wish my son was like you, I could die happy"He said softly

'You can die right now for me if you'd like' Lan Du thought to herself but her eyes were filled with clarity

"How can I be compared with your son?I'm not worthy of such praises"Lan Du backed off and said nervously

Yuan Min laughed

"You're very humble, but your skills are the real deal, you should be around the same age as my daughter as well, how nice it'd be for you to be my son-in-law"He said, but there was a sudden sadness on his face

"I wouldn't dare be matched with your daughter...colonel?Is there a problem?"She noticed the sadness and asked

'That bastard...doesn't even know me yet already want to marry me off, my life was made like hell because of you, mother doesn't even know you have a second wife and here you are, wanting to marry off me to someone you don't even know!'

Lan Du was infuriated

Yuan Min sighed

"My daughter hates me"He replied

'Oh, so you actually know I hate you, I'm shocked since you wanted to marry me off'

"How can she hate you?You're a hero"Lan Du spoke up

Yuan Min sighed again

"I'm a hero to many, but a villain to my family, I have neglected them due to work for many years, when I first met her, I didn't even know her until she called out mother to my wife in front of me"Yuan Min said bitterly

Lan Du clenched her fists but it soon relaxed

'You actually dare bring it up to me now...to you, I am merely a stranger yet you still tell this to me'

Lan Du felt anger rise but she suppressed it with all her might

"colonel..."Lan Du wanted to continue acting and say 'It isn't your fault' but the words wouldn't come out.To her, it was impossible to say such words, even with a fake identity.

"You don't need to say anything, I was the one who said too much, thank you for listening though"He now treated Lan Du like an old friend, being able to say so much to her so comfortably, he felt glad to have met Lan Du on this trip.

Lan Du remained silent, she didn't say anything as she walked.

"Little Devil, damn, you and the colonel are like best friends now, by the way, your outburst earlier was awesome, anyways, you said you have subordinates, how many?"Liu Bu walked over and pestered her while bombarding her with countless questions.

"Damn, were you born a mute in your previous life and had to make up for it in this life?How many questions are you going to ask"Lan Du shot a question back

Liu Bu laughed with a trace of embarrassment on his face

"eh, I was just curious"He replied

Lan Du sighed

"I have a total of fifty lackeys, they are all pretty much the same in strength, at least thats what I think"Lan DU finally decided to answer his questions.

"Thats what you think?What do you mean?"He asked

"They all can only last at most three moves under me, how am I suppose to know, I don't bother checking their personal rankings"Lan Du said with a carefree look on her face

"eh?So carefree?Then how did you turn them all into your lackeys?"He asked again

Lan Du rubbed her chin

"well, I beat up one of them and they asked me to be their boss, I refused at first but they insisted, so I replied that I will be the boss if they all fight me at once, after that, I pummelled each of them until they couldn't stand up"Lan Du replied

Her words sent chills down Liu Bu's spine, sweat rolled down his face as he stared at her in shock

"y-y-y-you beat up f-fifty people!"He was shocked silly by her statementLan Du glanced at him

"They weren't armed so it was relatively simple, if they were all armed, then I can handle at most 15 of them"Lan Du said lightly

Liu Bu wondered if she was a monster in human skin right now, she was so damn brutal!Even after they asked her to be boss, she still beat them up before accepting!This is brutality on a whole new level!

Lan Du knew what he was thinking about but she sighed

"I have said before, never overestimate yourself, that was what I did, I needed to make sure I could beat them before I lead them, this is my thoughts, I only trust things if I can beat it"Lan Du clenched her fists and said with a serious gaze.

Liu Bu trembled

"s-so, if I want to gain your trust I have to..."

"Get beaten up by me"Lan Du replied nonchalantly

Liu Bu slowly turned his head and suddenly burst at his highest speed towards Guan Ya, he hid behind him as he trembled.Guan Ya was the only one apart from Yuan Min in the group that can easily defeat Lan Du right now.

Lan Du chuckled and continued walking, after a few days, a city came into view.Lan Du walked over to Yu Tian and asked him.

"Is that the city we were heading to?"She asked

Yu Tian shook his head

"This is one we will pass by, but we will be resting here for a day, after all, not all the mercenaries are well trained like the soldiers"He smiled and said

Lan Du nodded

"Where will we stay?"She asked

"I'll book a hotel, but to save time, we'll have two people per room"He replied

Lan Du paused before asking again

"c-can I have a room on my own?I'll pay for it myself"She asked nervously

Yu Tian laughed

"Why bother asking, just do it if you feel uncomfortable with others, but you have helped me so much, I'll still pay for your room"He said gently

Lan DU smiled and nodded

The city was large, walls surrounded the entire city and were dozens of metres tall.There was a large checkpoint area where many vehicles passed through.

When they entered, Lan Du saw advertisements everywhere, on both buildings and in the sky.She also took notice of many shops around, especially the souvenir shops.

Yuan Min took notice of her gaze and walked over

"Buy a souvenir for your family?"He asked

Lan Du nodded

"My sister has always loved studying other planets, so I'm thinking about buying her a souvenir"Lan Du replied warmly

Yuan Min smiled

"Your sister is lucky to have a brother like you"He said

Lan Du giggled

"You jest, I'm happy to be able to help her"Lan Du said and dashed over to a small shop.

'I should buy some for the twins, Hui Yue would probably like some as well, maybe Hong Ling as well' Lan Du's thoughts raced as she entered the shop.

Inside was many figures of characters from novels and shows.Lan Du looked around, they were all wonderfully made and the figures were all very detailed.

Lan Du then saw a familiar one, she had seen Hui Yue watch a show very frequently and she seemed to like that specific character.

'I'll get this for Hui Yue'

Lan DU reached out her hand, but out of her expectations, someone else also wanted it and their hands intercepted one another.

Lan Du turned her head and saw a girl a few years older than her.

"Can I buy this figure?"Lan Du asked gently

The girl snorted

"Do you think I'm an idiot to give it to you?This is a limited edition Xing Yang figure that can only be bought on this planet!Less than 100 of them are made in total!I came here specifically for this"She said haughtily as she reached her hand out for it.

Lan Du sighed, her hands moved faster and grabbed the figure before the girl.

"Since thats the case, I'll just take it"Lan Du said calmly and went to the counter with the figure.

She paid for the toy figure and had it wrapped up before placing it in her bag.

"You!Do you know who I am!"The girl shouted

"No I don't"Lan Du replied with a carefree expression and walked out the store.

The girl was infuriated, she chased after Lan Du and grabbed her shoulders

"I will have to use force if you don't give me the figure"She said arrogantly

Lan Du was shocked and appalled

'Is it really necessary to resort to robbery for a toy figure?!?!'

"Lass, don't force me to do this"Lan Du said coldly

The girl smirked

"What can you do to me?Shorty"She said mockingly

Lan Du sighed, she then took in a deep breath slowly.

"Help!Robbery!A crazy woman wants to rob me!"Lan Du cried out

The bustling street all stopped and turned to them, they saw a woman grabbing onto Lan Du's shoulders with a fierce expression.

The girl was shocked and taken aback, she quickly let go of Lan Du and backed away.

"You!"She pointed at Lan Du while glaring at her

Lan Du hugged her bag

"I-I don't have much money, p-please don't rob me, I-I-"Lan Du sounded so scared that she couldn't even speak properly

The crowd gave the girl a dissatisfied look, some shouted at her to back away from Lan Du while others were dialling their phones.

The girl felt overwhelmed, she stomped her feet and shouted

"Do you know who I am!I'm the daughter of Yu Tian, owner of the Shuang Yu corporation!"She shouted at the top of her lungs

The crowd all stopped once again, they then gave Lan Du a helpless look before they turned away.To them, the Shuang Yu corporation was not something the public could offend.

Lan Du was taken by surprise, the girl in front of her was actually the daughter of Yu Tian!The girl gave her a proud look and snorted

"Now you know who I am, hand over the figure"She said arrogantly

Lan Du sighed and took out her phone

"Mr. Yu...do you perhaps have a daughter?"Lan Du asked on the phone when it picked up

[Why yes, how did you know, I don't think I publicised this on Earth]

Yu Tian sounded surprised by her questions

Lan Du sighed

"I...may have met your daughter and now she's trying to rob me"Lan Du said helplessly

[What!Where are you, I'll come right away, that lass is becoming more and more wild!]Yu Tian shouted

"Oi, who are you calling!I'm talking to you!Hand it over!"The girl shouted

Yu Tian heard the shouts and frowned

[Don't worry, I'll handle her when I get there]

Lan Du told Yu Tian their location and Yu Tian hung up immediately.Lan Du then turned to the girl.

"Whats your name?"Lan Du asked

The girl huffed

"Remember my name clearly, its Yu Rei, now hand it over"She shouted

Lan Du placed a hand on her forehead as she sighed deeply

"I think you should quickly apologise, I don't want you to get into more trouble than you already are in"Lan Du said, hoping to calm her down slowly

Yu Rei snorted

"You're the one that's in trouble!"She shouted

"Is it really necessary to do this for a toy figure?Its just a figure"Lan Du asked with a confused consciousness, she didn't know why Yu Rei was so obsessed with the figure but she held it in.

Just then, a furious roar was heard

"Unfilial daughter!How dare you do such a disgraceful thing!"Yu Tian had just arrived and saw his daughter's attitude towards Lan Du.

Yu Rei turned her head in shock

"f-father!"She didn't think Yu Tian would come out of nowhere

Lan Du shrugged her shoulders

"I warned you but you didn't listen"She said mockingly

Yu Rei froze, she suddenly remembered that Lan Du was on her phone not long ago after discovering her identity.Now she had a good guess at who Lan Du was talking to on the phone.

Yu Rei was like a timid sheep in front of Yu Tian, she shivered as sweat rolled down the side of her face.

"I know you're playful at times but this is too much!That person is a mercenary that I hired and he has saved me countless times, how can you treat him with such disrespect"Yu Tian shouted

Yu Rei lowered her head in shame

"I-I just wanted the figure..."She muttered

"You still talk back!"Yu Tian was furious at the moment, apart from Yuan Min, Lan Du was the only other person that has earned his trust and respect.

Lan Du chuckled but decided to interfere

"Its fine, anyways, as you said, she's just playful"

Yu Tian glanced at Lan Du, then back at Yu Rei before letting out a deep sigh

"You're only 12 and you're already this sensible, why can't my daughter be like you?"He muttered

Yu Rei was once again stupefied, Lan Du was only 12?!How was she even a mercenary!?

Lan Du giggled

"Well, you two handle your own affairs now, I still need to go buy more souvenirs"Lan Du waved her hand and darted off.

Yu Tian sighed and placed a hand on Yu Rei's shoulder

"Since you're here, follow me closely, I'll take you to brother Yuan Min to keep you safe, you really can't stop me from worrying, I told you to stay home yet you still ran all the way here"Yu Tian sighed and pulled her by her hand

Yu Rei was dazed

"Is colonel Yuan Min here!"She asked excitedly

Yu Tian nodded

"We met when I sent a rescue signal, he was close enough and saved me"He replied

Yu Rei became even more excited

"Yay!I can meet uncle Yuan Min again"She said happily

Yu Tian smiled and led her to the group, Yuan in was then bombarded with questions from Yu 

Rei the moment they met.

"Brother Yu, your daughter is as lively as usual"Yuan Min smiled awkwardly and said.

Yu Tian gave him an apologetic smile

"Good luck"He said and darted off

"oi oi oi, where's the brotherhood between us!"Yuan Min shouted

Yu Tian didn't give a reply and never looked back...

Yuan Min glanced down at the enthusiastic Yu Rei and sighed bitterly, it was times like this he missed Lan Du's company.He felt that he had a kinship with Lan Du and he also felt a strange sense of connection with Lan Du.

Lan Du was currently busy going from shop to shop, she found many interesting things and 

bought them all.

'The twins like matching items so I just need to buy them with opposite colours, as for Hong Ling, she seems to like clothings so I'll buy some of that for her'

Lan Du soon ended her buying spree with a giant bag in each hand.She was later recommended to buy a storage item by a shopkeeper, Lan Du immediately took up on that offer and bought a 16 cubic metre storage ring.

'I didn't think such convenient things existed, maybe it's only made off planet, that might be 

why earth doesn't have any'

She smiled happily before looking for a good restaurant to eat at.She soon saw Yu Tian and the rest of the group also searching for a place to eat.

Lan Du walked over and smiled.She changed her full mask to a half mask so she could eat without taking it off when she approached them.

"Little Devil, are you also searching for a place to eat?"Yu Tian asked

Lan Du nodded as drool ran down the side of her mouth

"I haven't had anything but dried meat and break all this time"She said as drool continued to run down her mouth.This gave the others quite a surprise, they didn't think that Lan Du was actually a glutton.

Yu Rei smiled

"I'm sorry about before, thank you for saving my father"She bowed and saidLan Du waved her hand

"no need to thank me, honestly, get up, I feel awful now that you bowed"Lan Du said hastily

Yu Tian chuckled

"Lets go, I'll pay for the meals"He said lightly

Lan Du's ears perked up as drool poured out her mouth like a waterfall

"saving you was all worth it"She muttered

Her words caused everyone to laugh, they could tell Lan Du was a glutton but not to this degree!
