Chapter 14:

Side Chapter: Ammon the Traitor

Diary of Void: The Millennium War

Uto watched the man decline his offer with a calm, peaceful smile on his face, before disappearing into tiny shards of data.

"That was unexpected," Uto mumbled under his breath. "To think that he does not hold any resentment against those who tortured him to death."

He thought about why he might have done this, but couldn't arouse an answer.

"Anything wrong, sir?" one person working on the computers said to Uto.

"No, nothing is wrong, Reimei. Just a thought."

"Alright. You can rely on me if you really need help." she replied.

"Hm. I'll consider it."

"Aw, no need to be so cold, Uto sir!" a man said to him.

"Yeah, yeah! Accept her request! You know you can't do much without the help of others!" another man said.

"Stop making so much trouble for me, Evandrus and Shion. Why not you two keep quiet and do the job I gave you?"

Uto left the control room while distant screams and voices came from behind him. He walked to his office and did research on the modern world.
He knew that their technological levels were much lower than his, but he wasn't planning to attack the world. Not yet at least. Instead, he was more focused on finding one particular person. Plato or once known as Ammon Aineias. But he was now known as 'Lindos', living in Greece.

Why you may ask Uto was so keen on finding that person? He is the sole traitor to the Atlantian people and civilization as a whole. He sold his soul to the same gods that destroyed his people and civilization.
Why did he do that? It was to save himself. He knew about the god's plans to destroy their home but he didn't tell anyone. Instead, he fleed and betrayed them. That was why Uto was so keen on finding him. To kill him and make him regret ever betraying them.

Uto's plans for doing this were going pretty smooth, all going to plan. He had dozens of spies keeping track of Ammon's daily activities and life. Uto knew all about his daily life, his favourite foods, and what he dislikes, all kinds of details from his spies.
Of course, most of those details are useless for blackmail but still quite useful to know because the information can predict what will Ammon do in a situation. But since he has sold his soul to the gods, he can be very unpredictable.

"Well, then. First things first, have to take care of Ammon. I'll send Reimai to trap him I guess? Hmm... No. Maybe Yengor will do." Uto mumbled to himself. "Yes... Yengor will do the job perfectly."

He called for his assistant, Larisa to send a message to Juwa, the squad that Yengor is the leader of.

"Understood sir. And what shall I write for the message?"

"Uhm. Tell him that I got a job for him and it's about combat so meet me in my office. That should bring him over here immediately as he gets the message."

"Roger."

And as expected, as soon as Larisa sent Yengor the message, heavy and fast footsteps could be heard even in Uto's office.
Then, the sound got louder and louder, until it stopped. The door burst open with a tall, handsome man with beautiful green hair standing in the doorway.

"Yo boss! I got the message you sent me! So who do you want dead huh?" he loudly and rudely shouted.

"Yes, yes, we can get into the details a bit later. For now, take a seat. And lower your voice, please. I will go deaf at this rate."

"Ah... sorry about that, boss," Yengor said, taking a seat on a chair. "So? Can we get into the details yet? I'm afraid I'm itching to fight."

"Now, now, calm down. Just wait for a bit longer. Now, thank you for your hard work Larisa. Go take a break."

"Thank you very much sire." she said, leaving the room.

"Now... let's talk about the details of this, shall we?"

"We shall, sir."

...

"I see. I understand." Yengor said. "I will complete your orders with all my might."

"That's great to hear. I'm going to send you with the Alagan Squad just in case."

"The Alagan Squad..?" he asked.

"Yes. The Alagan Squad. Don't you hear about them?"

"No, sir..."

"Eh, I won't explain them to you too much. Just know that they are great combatants. Maybe you have heard about their leader, Erian?"

"Ohh. Erian. I heard about his achievements before."

"Well, that's good. You should be fine with them. And also, I remind you again. Bring Ammon to me alive."

"Don't worry. I will give you my word. I will bring him alive to you." Yengor said.

"Hm. I'll see about that," Uto replied. "I'll kill you if you don't."

And with that, Yengor left the Uto's office. He went to where Uto told him to go, Deployment Room V.
When he arrived there, he was greeted by someone he knew... but also didn't.

"Hey there. I heard about you, Yengor, leader of the Juwa Squad."

"If you know me then I presume you are Erian, leader of the Alagan Squad?"

"Indeed." the man replied. "I'm Erian."

"Ah. So I am in the right deployment room then. Glad to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Shall I introduce you to the rest of the Alagan Squad?"

"No need. I will come to learn them myself. I find that to build a much more powerful bond between each other."

"Alright If you say so."

After a quick inspection of their weapons for any damage, they readied their armour.

"Everyone ready?" Erian asked.

"I am."

"I'm also ready."

"Yep. Looks like everyone is ready, Erian." Yengor answered.

"That's good then. Now, let's go make our great leader, Uto proud!"

"""Yeah!"""

They entered the room, with their weapons and armour equipped, and their heads high. The squad of 9 elite warriors, now about to hunt one man that betrayed their fellow Atlantians and sold his sold to the very same gods who destroyed their home.
He must pay for that crime.

...

Lindos Damon was a 24-year-old man, living in Athens, Greece. He was enjoying that day. He just had a promotion at his job to a high position, got married a few weeks earlier and is expecting a baby in a few months' time. He was an average living an ever so slightly average life.
In reality, Lindos Damon was over 15,000 years old and was known by another name, Ammon Aineias. He was a powerful man and had a large amount of influence in his home country and city of Atlantis.

However, 13,500 years ago, roughly around 2,500 years before the fall of his home city country, he somehow was able to get a hold of the Earth gods' plan to destroy the city country and when he was discovered, he begged for his life to be spared.

The gods just replied, 'Then sell your soul to us for our protection.'

And so he did. And when the attack actually happened, he was escorted to safety by a god. Ever since then, he was been living quite nicely. He 'died' and lived through many lives. His most famous life as Plato, actually became famous by accident when a fellow philosopher overheard him talking to himself about his home city country, which he spread far and wide.

But now, over 10,700 years after the fall of his city country, he saw many wars and conflicts, saw the rise and fall of great nations and empires, saw the advances of technologies of the 'natural' human race along with many more.
So far, he had lived over 400 lives as countless jobs and sometimes even changed genders, but that was pretty rare.

And now, he was relaxing in his house, which was made out of stone and wood with his wife making dinner for the both of them.
He asked her how long until dinner will be, and she replied in 20 minutes.

And with that time, Lindos left the living room and jumped on his bed, resting his eyes. Little did he know that it will be the last time he will ever see the sun, the plants, and the outside world ever again.

...

Happy Halloween, readers. I know I'm 4 minutes early (when I wrote this, 11:56 pm) but since I wanted to write this message on Chapter 12 but I don't think I can write, edit and make final edits to Chapter 12, within 4 minutes, yeah. But yeah, Happy Halloween guys. - SnowDust5
