Chapter 21.5 - Frederica side story

Dear diary, I’m now 5 years old, I just return from the hospital in KL and they said it could not be cured and I will die after I reach at the age of 7 tops. Because of something inside in my brain is growing. Mom and dad is sad to hear that. they are teachers from a school in KL, but with my condition that cannot involved with a lot of noise and constant activities we move to a new town that is not is the list noise, crowd and strenuous activities of the bustling city has, Dad offer himself to Long Pasia to be a teacher there. Long Pasia is where mom was born. We reach there for hours from KK airport until reach an old house that mom said it belong to her grandfather.

“This house is rotten….” Dad

“Oh it will fine…” mom

When I was born, at the age of 3 months, I could said a sentence which scared them. When they check my brain has a different set of condition that doctor explain, I could not understand the terms but what I understand is that I’m different from other children. I could understand faster than anyone, I could learn 5 times faster than anyone. My photographic memory could keep in my brain as fresh as it could. From simple story books, encyclopaedia to complicated books, the Quran, bible, and everything that is from books. My book that I have always bought is only one thing is from Plato, I have always read it.

One morning, I heard some commotion outside where children is playing looking out from the window.

My brain is like an adult but my body is still a child. Mom said to me that I could not get out from the house for more than an hour due to my health conditions.

But I’m bored, I wanted to get some air. I went down and ask mom

“Mom?”

“Yeah..”

“Could you bring me out somewhere ? Like a place?”

“Sure…come”

“Wait mom, let me bring my books…”

We reach to a place where there is a tree stand right next to a river, the clear blue waters of the river that I could see the bottom of it. I sit there while reading and mom look at me smiling at me

“I’m reading mom….”

“Go on ahead…”

A rustling sound from the trees, but someone is hanging from the branches he look like a monkey. And he is naked!! 🤯

Mom look worried to the boy and shouted

“Alex get down from there!!! Its dangerous!!”

“Hahahahaha!! I going to be a superman!!!”

He jumps from the branch doing the superman and slam his body in the waters. Ouch that look hurt a lot.

“Ouch that hurts a lot!!!Hahahaahah”

“Oi!!! Alex doing the superman again!!!”

“ALEX!!!!”

“Oh!! Its mom!!! Hey mom its fun here!!! Come on lets swim together!!!”

Seem this Alex is a monkey at its own way. His mom pull his ear from the river

“There is limit to this stupidity but this is way over the top!!”

“Is fun…”

“Well then don’t do that again okay?”

“Okay..” He climb again from the tree.

“Hey!!! Alex why are you climbing the tree again?!!”

“Hey mom!! Let me show you how to fly!!”

“Are you listening to me?!!!!💢”

“Lets fly!!!” Now he is flapping like a bird and slam himself to the river again.

“Alex!!!” His mom

But this time he did not afloat. Mom and Alex mom looks worried

“Puan Mas…he must be…”

“no….this is his way of making fun….”

“Gotcha!!!” He literary pull his mom into the river

“You stupid!!!” Both fell down from the river

Everyone is laughing

“Ah cha….that is our village monkey…”

The girl talk to herself

“Hey I never seen you before?”

“Um..” I’m a bit shy talking to people and I head behind mom

“This is Frederica, Frederica come out and greet yourself”

“…umm…I…m…Fre…de…ri..ca…”

“Okay, I’m Miranda, this Clark, Jerome, and Salva…”

“Oh hello…”

“That monkey there is Alex…”

Alex suddenly approach me with his nose bleeding and wet hands he shake my hand rigorously

“Hey!!! Whats UP!!!” He is really loud!! 😵‍💫

“Hey what do you think of this?”

“He showed me a snail”

“Its called ‘siput Babi!! Or pig snail Hahahaah!!!” its just snail you idiot😒

“Never seen you before? What’s with the gloomy face? Smile a bit will ya!!!”

“umm…..I…look….like….this….”

“Huh? Whatever come on let me show you something” he pull my arms and start to run towards a place

“Hey Alex!!! What are you..get back here!!!”

He pull me but I couldn’t run and I fell down.

“Hey you okay?”

“I….can’t run….”

Alex squat and offer me

“Come on climb on my back…”

“but….”

“Hurry up will ya!!”

I carefully climb his back and he suddenly run and could feel a bit of wind from his wet back. I never experience this.

He stop and show me a barn where all the animals is there.

“Wait here”

“Ah.. ok…”

He suddenly enter the barn and chasing piglets

“Come’ere is going to get you”

Eh? he is chasing piglets and he manage to get it and show to me

“Aren’t this cute?”

“ah….”

He give it to me to hold it but the piglet run away again

“Hey stop running will ya!!”

“Alex!!” Its Miranda

“Stop chasing that piglet your mom and dad will be angry!!”

“Wait up!! Hey maybe I could get this chick!!”

Now he change his target to a chick. Only to see a rooster is chasing Alex

“Ahhh!! Papa chick is back run for your lives!!”

He is running from a rooster but he jumps and kick the rooster to the head

“This is a showdown rooster!!”

A monkey is fighting with a rooster

I had this funny feeling in my heart like is tickling and I laugh

I slowly giggle

“Frederica, you laugh…”

“Of course that monkey there is fighting a rooster…”

“What? Hey!! Alex stop playing with that chicken!!!

Alex mom is here as well including his dad

“Hey did he touch a pig?”

“Umm…yeah..”

“I’m going to get some earth and water, later ask Alex to come to the toilet…”

“Yeah honey…Alex get back here!!!”

“Huh..!?”

“Miranda tie a rope to that monkey!!”

“Come on guys let catch him”

They look having fun while chasing Alex and they manage to tie him with a rope

“Let me out!!”

“Aunt Mas we got the monkey!!!”

“Carry him to the toilet!!”

All of the carried him like an animal

His dad prepared 3 buckets and a large tub. Where he wash him with some sort earth water

“As a muslim, we need to cleanse with earth, he touch something that is forbidden in our religion.”

“oh…” I remember Muslim does not eat anything that is not halal (something that is only permitted in Islam)

“Okay done, anyone would want to wash him with soap?”

“Me!!!” Miranda offer while the others is bringing brushes

“Hey!!! I don’t like it!!!”

They treated him like a pet brushing him rigorously until he become shiny

“Yeah finally back…now lets get that pig again” but they tie him with a rope

“Nope we going to help grandpa and grandma in the farms…”

“Oh!!! That is fun” he is really unpredictable😑

“Come on Frederica follow us”

“Hey!! she could not walk let me help her”

He manage to untie himself from that rope

“Hey get in my back hurry up we haven’t got all day with you being slow…”

“Hey!!! I’m not slow”

I piggy back with Alex. He instantly run towards the field. I was mesmerise the beautiful paddy field seen from a far and a forest.

“That is grandpa and grandma’s paddy field”

An old man and old waving at Alex

“This is Frederica, grandpa and grandma…she is slow like a turtle”

“I’m not slow😖”

'Well then help us with the paddy”

“Alright!!”

🤯 Alex carried that bunch of hay and lifted it like it was nothing

“Where to grandpa?”

“Put it there”

“Got it”

Miranda and the others arrived

Hey Alex when are going to slow down?”

“Huh? With this turtle there no way a chance I’m going to finish this work…”

He is teasing me😡

I tried to carry the hay but its really heavy

“HAHAHAAHHA dont do it later you poop while carrying that you know”

His grandpa knock his head

“Is that how you treat a lady?”

His grandma pulled his ear

“Say sorry to her”

“Ugh…sorry…”

I giggle

I felt giddy and blurry

“Hey you okay?”

Alex piggy back me and run towards my house

I could only hear a commotion

And I’m in my room, my mom smile at me

“See told you…”

“Sorry mom…”

Mom said to me I sleep for a day until the next morning. Its back to usual, its like a dream or maybe is just a dream

I sat at my table and write my journal

“Dear diary, I had a dream meeting a boy, that I wanted to become to run like the wind. I was mesmerise how he did jump from that tree and fly. How I really wish I could be like that”

I put back my diary and look at the window but I was surprised Alex is at the window

“Hey Frederica!! You okay?”

“uh…ok..I’m fine…”

“Look…sorry about yesterday” it does happen, its not a dream

He give me a book

“Here just a gift from me for yesterday”

“Thank you…”

I heard Miranda shouting at Alex

“HEY!! ALEX WHERE IS MY COMIC BOOK!!!!!?”

“Find that monkey!!”

“Uh, just keep it, and a secret…kay?”

He stole it from Miranda😓

“Hey Frederica?”

“Yeah?”

“Can I be your friend?”

That question is something struck me but he is the first that wanted to become my friend

I smile at him “mmmm” and nod

“Then…”

He shake my hand, and jump off while looking at the window, Alex is been chase by them. Miranda said to me “I know he stole it, did he give it you?”

“Uh..yeah…”

“Keep it!! While we going to capture that monkey!!”

“Get back here!!!”

“Hahahahah can’t catch me!!!”

I read the comic book title Sailormoon and the main character Tsukino Usagi saving the world against the villains.

I like her character, and I ask mom.

“Mom could you help me tie my hair like a pigtail”

“Okay”

Mom tied my hair and I look at my face and I wanted to do the cute pose like Sailormoon

“AH!!” - Alex

Oh no🤯 its Alex and he shouted outside

“Frederica is now a sailormoon!!!!”

“Hey Alex!!! Stop it!!!” I chase him down with a broom stick. I’m really embarrassed 😖

“Oh no she is going to beat me!!!” he run away while i chase him down

That is how I met Alex.
