Journey to the Edge (Part 2.)

𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒾𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓉 𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓇𝒾𝒻𝓎𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝑒𝑒𝓃?


As the 4 captives look up at the sky, frozen in terror, the flying singularity would
suddenly launch into the ground, causing a large explosion of dust and rubble.
as Kenjin starts to get himself up and off the floor, he feels  a breeze of warm breath
with an awful smell, as he slowly turns and looks to his left, 
He would see a giant 4 winged avion-like creature, with 3 Heads, The middle head being a head of an eagle with the jaw of a crocodile, and both of the heads on the side being the heads of 
a lion. Its entire body was covered in feathers, excluding the heads of the lions, with 
5 large sharp black talons for each leg. The beast had 5 Rattlesnake tails that had sharp stingers at the end of each of the tails. On the inner side of the lower wings, there were two
giant squid eyeballs that stared intensely without blinking, the eyes were as large as the wooden shack Kenjin used to live in. The Creature itself was as tall as 2 wooden shacks and was as wide as 4.
As Kenjin was frozen in horror he could only move his eyes up and down the creature, as one thought raced through his mind over and over again.
"I'm gonna die, I-i'm gonna die, i'-m gonna die, i'm gon-na die."
As Kenjin looked down at the snout of the middle head, he could see that the monster was
chewing on something. Large amounts of blood would leak out from its snout while it was chewing, when suddenly he would suddenly see something shining through the blood.

"T-that's a....... THAT'S A HANDCUFF." He realized 
"Wh-which one, w-ho, i'm gonna d-ie."  Kenjin shock and fear could not let him focus on one thought. As the beast turned around and started to devour the horses with each of its heads,
a hand would suddenly cover Kenji's mouth and an arm would pick him up by the chest.
Kenjin attempts to look towards the side with his eyes to see who it is but is unable to as he is dragged away behind a rock.
After a few seconds, the hand and arm release their hold on Kenjin.
As Kenjin turns around he would see Gerard covered in bruises, with a hole on the right side of his cheek.
Gerard would cover Kenjin's nose, as well as close his own nose holes with his fingers.
He would signal Kenjin to follow him. They would start to crawl.
they would crawl to the next boulder and hide behind that one. As they begin their advance to the third boulder they hear a voice.

"H-help m-me." 

They would look to their left and would see Mr. Bergenheiser crawling toward them with one arm. His left leg gone. Before Kenjin and Gerard could do anything the creature would leap over the boulder they were hiding behind and would land on top of  Begenheiser.
They would hear chewing and snapping sounds.
Out of shock and fear Kenjin would instinctively get up and start to run in the opposite direction. as he started running the creature would turn its head and started roaring out of
all 3 of its heads. It would then start to flap its wings and dash forwards knocking the boulders out of its way. as it dashed passed Gerard its wings would slice through his flesh sending one of his legs and arms flying off as blood flew everywhere. As kenjin ran he would jump over a small boulder, accidentally hooking one of his feet against the boulder and he would trip into a small crack in the ground just wide enough for him to fit through. As the giant avion dashed by the wind pressure rush through the crack in the ground. The sky would suddenly be covered by dark clouds.
As the creature tried to stop its own momentum it would crash through a giant boulder causing the earth to tremble. As Kenjin felt the effects of the tremble. It would suddenly start to rain heavily, but it would be silent. No drop of rain would reach the ground to make a sound. the droplets of rain would evaporate before it even hit the ground. The sky would suddenly be lit up by lighting and Kenjin would hear the thunder strike close to him.
As Kenjin looks up at the sky he would see rain falling but never reaching him. 
this would be interrupted by the vibrating of the stomps from the creature, as the creature roared Kenjin would look up through the crack and see a large amount of sand being blown over. Kenjin would hear the sound of flesh being torn and after a few seconds would feel the vibration of something heavy being dropped on the ground. 

"Y-YOU BASTA-!!!" Kenjin would hear voice Gerard yelling.  ten seconds later the sky would lit up again and Kenjin heard the sound of thunder.
Kenjin would slowly start to climb up and out of the crack in the ground.
he would peek his head out and look around. As he turned around he would see
a Giant eyeball right behind him. He would scream out of shock and rush out of the crack in the ground, and move backward. As he stood up ready to run he would suddenly stop.
as he looked passed the giant eyeball he would see that the entire area with the boulders has been destroyed. With his blood and sand-covered face, he would look at the body of the creature which now lays on the floor split into 2 chunks of its main torso. the area is covered by a pool of blood. 3 of the wings have been torn to pieces. One of the wings remains partially intact except for the giant hole in it. One of the eyeballs has been slit open and the insides leak out of it in a pool of blood. 
"Wh-What the hell happened." Kenjin said with a shocked face covered in blood
As his eyes widened and he turned around and started running 
as he thought back about how he was with Gerard and got frightened and started to run
leaving him.
"GERAAAAAAAAAARD!!!" he would yell while running. He would trip, and get up again as he took a left turn to the boulder where he last saw Gerard. while he was running he was thinking back on how kind Gerard was. As he was running he took a look to the left and stopped running. He saw Gerard sitting on a piece of rubble, as the sun was starting to set behind him.
"Gerard." He said with a smile on his face
He ran to Gerard and stopped. He looked at Gerard smiling.


As Gerard was sitting there and saying nothing, Kenjin stopped smiling and started crying.
As the sun completely set he saw Gerard's dismembered body. It was a hallucination of his shock that he saw Gerard. In reality, he was staring at his corpse.

"I- i am sorry, I- I - I- I- I'M SORRY!!!" Kenjin screamed as he was crying.
The tears streamed down his face and mixed with his blood. 
He would get on his knees. The droplets of rain could not even reach him
as they were being evaporated by the desert. He would start screaming as he cried
pounding his fists again he would burn his fists on the sand burning his knuckles.
he would get up and would start to run away while crying and screaming, his vision would begin to get blurry. after an hour of running and crying turned to walking and crying.
As the heat began to get more intense further he walked, his lips would begin to pop and bleed under the extreme heat his, throat became completely dry, and his skin would start getting burned, even at night when normal deserts are freezing. even the tears in his eyes would begin to
evaporate, the blood on his face would start to boil, and his ears would start to ring as if the sound of classical music is being played. every single movement would hurt like hell, even things like breathing, thinking, and blinking would be absolute hell. Kenjin never thought his mind and body could be broken like this. In the slums, he was thought to ignore people and only interact with people who he trusts, but this is not the slums this is the outside world.
He must find his place in it or perish.

As Kenjin felt the crunching of glass beneath his feat he could see a raging wall of fire in the distance. The glass would begin the stick and burn through the underside of his feet.
As Kenjin looked up he could see a dark shape walking towards him. With every burning blink, the dark shape started to get closer and closer. Eventually standing in front of Kenjin.
The towering figure was a Skeleton in black robes with the shape of a beard carved into its boney chin. As Kenjin stumbled closer and closer to the figure reaching out his hand to try to grab onto it, his fingers would start to turn to ash leaving the bone. He reached out with his entire arm to try and grab but he is still not able to reach the dark figure. He collapses on to the floor right before the cloaked figure. As the cloaked figure tries to reach out to Kenjin with its boney arm, its arm would start to freeze over and turn to ice. As Kenjin looked up the last thing he would see before his eyes closed was the frozen hand of the boney dark cloaked figure in front of the raging wall of fire. As the arm of the figure shattered into tiny shards of ice Kenjin's eyes closed.

"What is the worst way to die? is it poison? starving? Being burned alive? crucifixion? 
while all of those are all bad ways to die there is only one answer.
Drowning. People who drown to death often do so alone, even if they know how to swim they overestimate their own capability. Children are most at risk of drowning since it only takes a small amount of water to make them drown. When people who have drowned are pulled out from the water there is no sign of malicious intent. Drowning is just a simple result of our body being subjected to environments we were not built for. Corpses decompose differently than they do on land or perhaps in the poorest section of the kingdom. Bodies rise to the surface when they are drowned, surfacing with horrible deformities, the longer a body is not recovered the more distorted it will become. but while that might be unpleasant, i think the greatest factor of drowning torture is the tragedy of it all. One mistake, one mis step, one misjudgment, and your life is over. but water is not sentient, drowning is not sentient, it has no feelings emotion or judgment, nor does it have a purpose, that is to say for most bodies of water. But what if someone could control this non-sentient liquid as a tool?

                                                                                                                     As a weapon?" 
"I-its completely dark. W-ho is this speaking to me? why don't I feel the heat?
it feels like I am floating in nothing." Kenji said. he would start to hear the sound of classical music start playing as a glimmer of light turns to a bright sun that chases the dark away.

Kenjin would open his eyes.
