Chapter 64:

Chapter 4 - Part 29 (Book 1 - Fantasy World)

Creation: The Path of a God

Han moved away from the table, the food warm in his belly. The food reminded him how blessed he'd become after gaining his ability.

"Master, you should probably switch back to your original appearance," Helania glided towards him.

Glancing at Helania, he raised an eyebrow before his eyes widened. He lightly smacked his forehead, "Thank you for the reminder." Chuckling, "It would be awkward to meet Elis and Tom's family in my current form."

With so much occurring since arriving at Leaf Village, particularly with the encounter with the Lunar Empire soldiers, Han had forgotten that he had altered his appearance to meet with the Lady Knight from Illumin Academic City. He grinned at Helania, appreciating how she remained on top of matters and helped to prevent him from making errors. Creating Helania was one of the best decisions he had.

Pulling in his will, Han merely imagined his appearance since before, though he couldn't help but make negligible adjustments. The adjustments were so minor that it would be difficult to detect unless another person had a photo of him back when he was on Earth. One of the adjustments was decreasing his weight by close to ten pounds.

Returning to his body shape before meeting the Lady Knight, he grunted slightly as his bones adjusted, bringing along the pops and cracks felt all over. The sensation wasn't as comfortable as cracking the hand knuckles. It was likened to when he dislocated his knees during a martial arts club sparring practice in his undergraduate years.

Han couldn't help but let a laugh emerge due to the discomfort.

Slowly letting in a quivering breath, Han took a moment to acclimate. He lifted his right arm and moved it in a circular motion, ensuring the shoulder joint was satisfactory. Despite going through the agonizing transformation, Han did enjoy the alterations he made. One of them was his knee joints which felt like they were freshly lubricated and weren't in pain -- one of the downsides of being the weight he was back on Earth.

The loss of ten pounds was also welcomed, making him feel barely better. He raised his arms and twisted his torso left and right, enjoying how he felt more limber. Even if the transformations were seen externally, he welcomed the slight adjustments during the short while when he needed to appear as his older self.

In front of him, the air crackled and shattered to reveal the portal leading to the Stronghold. There was a slight ripple along the surface of the doorway as two maids emerged carrying a mirror.

While they positioned the mirror, Han frowned, seeing how he appeared, especially in his current attire.

"Is there anything wrong?" Brittany's brows were raised as she slipped her arms around his.

Breathing in and slowly letting it out, Han shook his head, "My current garment is not particularly flattering on my current body."

While it wasn't awful, the vest bulged slightly from the larger belly. He could imagine dads wearing such an outfit on the beach, but Han didn't particularly care for the appearance.

"Would you like a new outfit?" Brittany tilted her head.

Shaking his head, "I think I will wear what I had on last night. It is a minor issue."

Brittany released Han as she took a step back, providing him space.

Visualizing his outfit, the current clothes faded as a shadowy black mist covered his form. Like the sun piercing through rain clouds, he emerged wearing the same outfit as the previous night. He turned slightly to check to make sure there were no errors made. He smiled, appreciating how convenient the process was. Though what he now wore didn't feel as refreshing as the one created for the day, it was significantly more flattering.

"Thank you," Han looked to the two maids, who curtsied and walked back through the still-open portal. Once they passed through, the tear in space crackled and merged before vanishing.

Han smiled at each of his three creations, "I guess it is now time for us to depart."

Brittany lowered her brow as she looked to the maids, "Make sure to clean this place and return it to how it was. I do not want people to think that Master is a messy person."

"Yes, Mistress," The maids gracefully curtsied before returning to clearing away the plates.

Seeing how Brittany directed the maid, he nodded. He suspected that she was telepathically managing the maids, but hearing her vocally order them was reassuring that she was also responsible with her role. Though he did not doubt that Helania would've been competently fulfilling the duties of handling matters related to the supporting staff, Han felt it was good to give Brittany some responsibility on top of being his personal attendant. He was eager to see how she'd blossom in the role.

As Brittany returned to holding his arm, he lovingly laid a hand on her head.

Brittany looked up, her eyes wide and sparkling with a pink air around her face, a broad smile growing at having his affection. She buried her head deeper into his arm as she giggled.

Reaching the opened door, Han turned to look back at the room. Though they hadn't spent much time at the location, it was difficult not to feel slightly sentimental about where they spent the night together for the first time on the road. He took the memory and set it aside to be cherished for the future, letting him remember that no matter what happened, he had at least one moment of feeling loved after that event.

"My Master?" Queen slightly raised a hand towards Han, her mouth partially open and her brow raised.

Grinning, Han looked at Queen and then at Helania. "I just thought about how this place feels as the start of our journey together. Even if we are separated, I can hold this place in my heart."

In his mind, Han couldn't help but imagine a future where he would need to send out his creations to attend to matters -- where he would need to part from them. For a second, Han was tempted to see if his abilities would allow him to glimpse into the future, but at the last instant, like hands reaching for sweets, he pulled back. He grinned, happy that he had the self-control not to look ahead and ruin any surprises. It was also likely that skimming into the future would be pointless for him due to his ability. Any endeavors to monitor what could be would be ever-shifting, just like with the observer effect. The changes may be negligible for the average human, but his power would make events far more chaotic. It would be like examining the surface of a pond with a waterfall. Trying to see his reflection would be impossible with the constant ripples.
