Chapter 48:

Chapter 44 - which one is right though….

A boring life at school, or maybe....

Mr Marcus plants them with basic physical training while Mat guides them with tactics during the training. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the pacing of the team movement; it's not as simple as running with the ball or dribbling as Mat explains. Mat then gave me targets with ranges of 50, 100, and 150 metres to practise my crossing accuracy. Sylvia brought back Hana and Tama to my house, while I stayed behind to help support Mr Marcus' football team. I believe I have fired over 50 shots at the target, but something is missing that I want to confirm, but Mat abruptly asked us to divide into four groups for a practise game. We are able to perform basic passing and shooting, but one of the challenges is the pain of being tackled by a player. Even with a shin guard on my legs, that hurts. Mat shouts like a coach during practise and even instructs me to focus on my dribbling and crossing; it's complicated to get used to, but I eventually get the hang of it.

"Alex, back off a little! Make sure to find the line between offside and the defender line!!"

I give him a thumbs up, but it's very annoying because I have to remain compose in order to find ways to beat the linesman. I eventually discovered it and was able to pass through and beat the defender. I manage to cross and reach the other attacker.

"Nice, at least you'll be ready for tomorrow's game."

As we were preparing to leave for home after the practise match, Mr Marcus called and asked me to participate in another training. We went to the police station to put my shooting skills to the test. Armed with a submachine gun and an assault rifle. It really is overwhelming with Mr Marcus is testing me again.

I realise that aiming these weapons is extremely difficult. Darrel taught me how to use a shotgun, but he never taught me how to use this weapon. Mr Marcus called to evaluate my abilities.

"Not bad for a kid your age; I wonder if you've been practising with this weapon?" I learned it while in rehab at an armed services in the United States.

"I did it with an M16."

"Uh huh"

"Yeah, because I was in rehab with a friend for military training."

"It's no surprise, if you're used to my training regimen, which army or division?"

"Military Reserve of Arizona”

“I see…” Mr Marcus is staring at the setting sun and pondering to himself, "It's a big risk, but maybe it's worth it....ok then... Perhaps it will work."

Mr Marcus told me to come back and rest. When I get home, Sylvia is waiting outside on the balcony, so I hurry back home.

She giggled at me and said, "Darling...dinner is ready" yikes, I have a feeling we're like husband and wife. We went inside because it appeared that Mom have been waiting everyone. Tama is also waiting for us, but she is staring at the dinner while drooling for us to eat. It's a lobster and a snapper? Mom reveals that Sylvia is cooking dinner tonight, and that her grandfather provided the fish and lobster. Something remarkable must be going on. After we've finished our meal, Sylvia prepares dessert, which is a cheesecake. Mom is looking at me with relief, so something is definitely going on here.

"Son, you're a lady killer" mum is keeping something from me

"Big brother!!" "You idiot!" Hana is once again dodging me.

"Alex, it must be lively to have people make fun of you," even Tama?!

Sylvia didn't look at me and muttered, "Just eat the damn cake, dummy!!" She averted her gaze and entered the kitchen, clearly concealing something from me. I simply leave it at that and go into my room. I continued to work on my PMR revision. I'm slipping asleep until I fall asleep my head on the table. I saw Natalie but also Frederica while we were playing together, and I also saw Sylvia. They all had the same blinding light and said the same thing.

"Being with you is a blessing." When I finally woke up, it was all a dream, but someone had placed a blanket on my back, along with a cup of hot coffee, which is still hot; I wonder who that will be. Maybe it's mom. Then I went out of my room because I could hear someone downstairs. I slowly walk down the stairs; it's Sylvia, and she's humming while making something, I could tell she was happy because she was knitting something. I didn't want to bother her, so I went back to my room. I returned to sleep and closed my eyes.

The next morning, after performing my subuh prayers, and head downstairs while notice Sylvia sleeping on the couch. I could see that she made a scarf of cream and black colours and patterns. I'm curious who she chose to give it to, then I go upstairs to start preparing breakfast while I wake up Hana, Steward, and Tama for school.

"Where is big sister?" Steward ponders about Sylvia.

I told him what I saw and said, "Umm, she's downstairs, still sleeping..."

"I could help her wake up, but is it okay if big brother wakes her up?" "Just wake her up, big brother!" Hana turned around and looked at me. She is dead serious about it. I was going to ask for Tama, but she had already gone to the bathroom.

"Breakfast is ready; when you're finally done getting ready, just head for breakfast, okay?"

"All right," everyone said slowly, while Mom yawned from her room.

"Thanks Alex for preparing breakfast for us," Mom said, somehow tired from her job last night. I head downstairs, and Sylvia is still sleeping peacefully, but I wanted to gently wake her up. While gently tapping her shoulder to wake her up. She suddenly grabbed me and muttered something.

"Thank you, God, for protecting us," they must be dreaming. She actually started muttering again."Please god, don't let this end, please give me strength, I'm madly in love with him, he's the only one for me" shit this is getting out of hand and slowly tap her face to wake her up.

“Alex…?” She is not fully woken, though. I slowly pushed her aside, but she quickly pulled away and began to avoid looking at me.

"Get up, it's already morning!" I had to make breakfast!" Sylvia leaps from the couch, but I explain that it is already prepared.

"Thank you, Alex," she says as she heads upstairs, but she looks at me and says, "Hurry up!! "We're off to school!" While the others were getting ready for breakfast, I went to the bathroom, while Mom and Sylvia had already begun preparing the others.

I notice that they have left after I have exited the restroom. That was lightning fast. Fortunately, the bus was waiting for me while Mom and Sam had already left the house. Hana is with Steward on the bus, while Tama is with Sylvia. When we arrive at our school, there appears to be a ruckus outside the school gates. It appears that Kallie and Mark, along with Micheal and Melissa, have been arguing about something.

"I'm not sure how we'd handle that!!?"

"We're working to resolve this!!" Micheal, you have to help me!!"

“Dammit!! We're trying, but I don't see anything we can do right now!"

"The left faction is attempting to disband our side!! "We need support here!!"

“Damn!! "I'm concerned who started it."

I attempted to ignore it, but Mr Rahman summoned me to join them.

"Should we then?" He dragged me there while Sylvia tried to pull me away.

"Hey, Mr Rahman, Alex is going to be late for class!"

"Don't be involved, young lady; he'll be fine."

I tried to persuade Sylvia not to concern herself, but she is initially reluctant due to what really is going on. "If anything will hurt you, don't take it and Melissa, don't push Alex to all of this!!" Sylvia advises,

Melissa kept silent while describing the situation to me. Mark and Kallie appear to have had issues with the left wing, and they began to attack their supporters, even going to their homes. Micheal just called the cops to settle it, but there doesn't appear to be enough evidence of their attacks, and it could just be random.

"Must be someone from within the police department supporting it" "but Sylvia's dad no longer works for the police" I assume some of them started looking for ways to control the police. Mark suddenly approached me and begged for assistance.

"One of the factions has kidnapped my friend. They're using thugs from outside the school; when they get their hands on them, who knows what will happen." I had a sudden gut feeling that something was wrong with this and wanted to learn more before attempting to save them. Melissa then told Sylvia that this is an important point between the schools, and Sylvia yelled back, "Each time you choose him, he gets hurt!!" Melissa's direct response to annoyed Sylvia, which I already knew.

"Do you realise how crucial Alex is to this SIGMA project, where he stands up for himself when neither of us tried to help him?"

Sylvia remained silent and agitated, despite my efforts to reassure her. She has a disgruntled look on her face when she gazes at me. I know she'll never agree to this, and besides I realised I didn't have much of a choice.

"Fine, I'll join, but not by myself."

"Amin and Mariam will be preoccupied with preparing the new entry course for the new students. So, who will it be?"

I pointed at Sylvia, and Melissa was amused, and Mr Rahman warned Sylvia about it.

"Do you realise this isn't on the curriculum? Melissa, if she does this, she will be a member of the student council."

Melissa asked Sylvia again. "Are you sure, cousin? There is no turning back."

"I'm fine because he's with me, and I'm checking to make sure he doesn't do anything crazy again." I make that decision because I know Sylvia will be pushing to be involved, and it might not be a dumb idea for her to join this student council.

Melissa then agreed and said to Sylvia and me.

"Then allow me to explain what you need to do." Melissa then requested Kallie and Mark about the situation.

"They kept them in their place," they say, and I recognise the address where Devinson and Sadie are being held before.

"Don't tell me they hired these idiots," I said, laughing because I recognised them. Sylvia was dumbfounded wondering why I started to laugh.

"Then this will be quick because I know the location," I say as I walk straight towards it, Sylvia close behind. I instructed Melissa to contact the police, and Kallie and Mark trailed behind me. Sylvia smiled at me and said.

"This is the first time, we're going for as student council members," she sparkles, and I hope I don't come to regret this decision. When we arrive at the spot, there they are, two boys and a girl have been caught by them. I'm starting to wonder what the hell is going on with these people here; don't they have nothing to do but get into trouble? I'm going there. One of them recognised me right away and began to flee.

"Holy crap!! He's the one!! The raging Ogre!! "Run for your lives!!!" One of the terrified goons tumbled to the floor and crawled away.

"Dumb rich boy!! You didn't tell me he was coming!! I'm out!!" Most of them flee the area, leaving some Borneo College students behind. It's Luqman and two of his followers. Luqman instantly recognise me and started to back off and shouted at me

"Aren't you tired of tormenting me?" Luqman recalls that he lost some of his teeth and that one of the followers threatened one of the students with a knife. I threw a rock at their arm and he screamed in pain, while Sylvia kicked them and Luqman said to her, "Bitch!! "You again!!" Luqman is furious, and Sylvia warns him with a fierce gaze.

"You better run, or else," she threatens him. Luqman then began punching her, while Sylvia slammed him to the ground with a vicious kick to the head. Luqman was knocked out instantly, and Kallie and Mark took the student. I notify them to go back to school while Sylvia and I carry the three students.

"See, I told you it was a quick run." I was certain that this would be a simple run.

"I wonder if the rumours about a rampaging ogre terrorising this place are true." Sylvia looked at me like a mother would at her children, While pinching my waist.

“Dummy!!” I carried the three and decided to return, but one of them yelled at me; one of them appeared to be different from the other goons. He struck me in the face right away, which actually hurt. It had been a long time since I had this much excitement, and he started yelling at me.

"Those are my boys, leave them here and forget what happened," he says, his uniform suggesting he is one of the faction's leaders. "He looks familiar, wait, don't tell me he's back from school?" Sylvia told. "Has he been suspended from school?" Sylvia is taken aback to see him.

"It's been a while, Sylvia. "Is he your boyfriend?" They appear to be acquainted. And Sylvia tells me that he is the captain of Borneo College's Taekwondo club, but he is a problem child because he rarely turns up class.

"My name is Dae-Hyun, and who are you?" he says. He asked, "Alex?" He looked at me, then kicked me while I held his leg. He suddenly kicks me in the face. It really hurts, and my blood is boiling, so I smash him to the ground. I know he won't feel anything, so I slam him down again. He screamed in agony and wanted to kick me again, but I'm not feeling anything right now.

"Not bad, most of the guys I fought couldn't handle my kicks," he says, laughing. Sylvia and Natalie's kick is far stronger to this guy's. I slam him to the ground again, and this time he throws up blood from his mouth. Sylvia tried to stop me, but I was keen in seeing if he could handle it.

"A martial artist like you could handle this kind of shame, so don't bite your tongue, bro," I slam him again. He was constantly kicking me, and I could see terror in his face. His head slammed to the ground after I carried him and German suplexed him. He quickly passed out, but I roused him. Sylvia clutches my arms and is terrified of me.

"I told you I'm a monster, so get out of my way, Bitch," Sylvia gripped my arm tightly and motioned for me to back off. My ego does not want me to back down because this guy will not leave it alone.

"Alex, stop!" Sylvia warned me. I'm not aware that I'm having fun, possibly because Natalie or Mom aren't here to stop me. He woke up and dared to challenge me once more. He immediately kicked me in the crotch, and it hurt like hell. I grab his shoulder and kick him in the gut before slamming him to the ground. I carried him and threw him off, causing him to crash to the ground. He rose to his feet.

"Not too shabby, bro." I smile, and he takes a stance before kicking me down with a flurry of strikes. When he came to a halt, I could see in his eyes that he was unconscious. I carried him to the infirmary at Borneo College. The nurse is surprised to see four people incapacitated and asks me what did happen. Then I'll just tell them I pummelled them, Sylvia clarified.

"They got into an argument, and Alex and I attempt to break it up."

"Oh well, crazy kids, appreciate the assistance even though you're from SIGMA."

"It's all right, we'll leave." Sylvia pulled me out and we returned to school. Kallie and Mark are waiting for us outside the school, thanking us for our assistance. Sylvia advises them.

"As I said before, it's wiser not to have Alex entangled with anything like this again." Sylvia wanted to ensure I didn't get involved in anything related to this again. Well, with Sylvia's constant lecture and warning that everything is not with violence. We showed up at our school, in which Melissa and Mr Rahman awaited us. Sylvia glared at Melissa, warning her about this. I could hear her talking to Melissa.

"I warned you that if Alex got involved again, That is one of the tasks in which Alex is involved; I seriously advise you not to get too involved in this." Sylvia did not respond and walked away from them, pulling me with her.

"Come on, let's get back to class!!" Melissa nodded at me, and Mr Rahman smiled at me, his mouth signalling me.

"Meet me at the office with Mr Marcus after class," I say, nodding. I followed her to her class, and Siti and Tama were immediately at the front of the room. She was visibly upset while smiling at me.

"Darling," Siti appeared to be a yandere girl at the time. Tama looked puzzled and said to me.

"Alex, she asked me about Sylvia, and I explained that she was always there for us, staying together in your home" oh shit, I'd rather not get involved in that. I quickly leave while Sylvia looks at Siti and threatens her.

"It's not like a thieving cat appeared out of nowhere," they both said, staring at each other. While I was saying to them.

"Uh, maybe you should stop doing this got it," both of them did not listen to me, and I walked out from the ground and punched the ground that I smashed.

"If you two don't stop..." I grabbed their ears and said, "Stop being a kid and get back to class," to which the entire classroom applauded and the teacher said, "Stop being a kid and get back to class.”

"There's nothing like a big brother stopping a little sister," the teacher said again.

I leave the classroom and wave them goodbye.

When I arrived at my class, everyone looked at me as if I had committed a crime. Mr Rahim is also present.

"Well, well, isn't our own playboy having a good time with girls?" "I'm not a playboy, and I'm not a lady killer, got it!!" I blushed and told them. I became irritated at them while Mr Rahim held my shoulder. He's grinning at me and holding a rattan stick behind him.

"You know you're a student, not a worker in school, so generally," he says as he whips my ass as punishment and asks me to stand at the chair while listening to his lecture. Wow such a wonderful way to begin the school year. Nothing else but trouble this time.
