Chapter 1:

GLOBAL TRANSMIGRATION , SYSTEM IS TOO NOISY

The Sea God's Rise: Conquering a World of Magic and Faith

I opened my eyes and found myself staring at the vast blue sky above me. The salty scent in the air suggested that the sea was nearby. As I focused, the sound of waves confirmed my suspicion. (I was born with sharp senses.)

However, the more pressing question was: "Why am I here?"

Just as I was about to stand up, a piercing voice echoed in my mind, startling me.

[{<WELCOME, HOST. YOU ARE IN RIVERINE, A WORLD SHROUDED IN MYSTERY AND ENVELOPED BY THE OCEAN. BUT FEAR NOT, THERE ARE ISLANDS FOR YOU AND THE OTHER TWO MILLION EARTH RESIDENTS WHO ARE SELECTED TO ENTERTAIN THE GODS.>}]

"What the hell," I muttered, glancing at the screen before me. the mention of "gods" didn't sit well with me.

As if responding to my thoughts, the system spoke again.

[{<DO NOT WORRY, HOSTS. IF YOU ARE ABLE, YOU CAN ACQUIRE THE POWER TO SHAKE THE WORLD AND EVEN THE GODS THEMSELVES.>}]

[{<BUT THE GODS KNOW THAT THROWING YOU INTO THIS WORLD WITHOUT ANY PREPARATION WOULD BE UNFAIR, SO MORTALS, YOU ARE BLESSED WITH 1 RANDOM TALENT AND 1 RANDOM SKILL BOOK THAT WILL DEFINE YOUR CLASS.>}]

[{<GO FORTH ON YOUR VOYAGE IN THIS WORLD AND MAKE A NAME FOR YOURSELF THROUGHOUT RIVERINE. GOOD LUCK.>}]

The system was noisy, but with the information given, I could tell that I was in a sea-fantasy world, a dream come true for any adventurer. To start my journey, I whispered a prayer to the gods (although it didn't feel quite right).

"STATUS," I said while lying on something wooden.

"This retarded system is too much. I am weak as fuck, I know that, but why say it out loud? But whatever, let's just use the tickets."

[HOST, BE READY. IN THE NEXT 5 MINUTES, YOUR SHIP WILL BE ATTACKED BY SEA MONSTERS TO MAKE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THIS WORLD. SO BE READY OR YOU WILL DIE,] words flashed across the screen.

"HUH, isn't this too much? That means if I don't have good talent and skill, I would die right away. This is sure to weed out useless players, and only those with the potential to be strong will remain."

But before any more thinking, let's first get my talent and skill.

"SYSTEM, DRAW A SKILL TICKET," I said while looking at the screen.

[{<I AM NOT YOUR SLAVE. DO IT YOURSELF>}]

I was stunned but looked at the corner of the screen where the timer was ticking.

I grew impatient and got into the system inventory and used the skill tickets.

But why skill first? Of course, it's because if the talent influenced skills, and I got a weak talent, then I would get a weak skill, which means I am finished.

After using the ticket, a skill book appeared out of nowhere in my hands. I had never seen it before, but strangely I knew how to use it.

I tapped it onto my head and learned it. Feeling nothing different, I called out "STATUS" once again.

As I thought, the skill tab lit up. I clicked it, and the skill description came into view.

Although the skill looked good, the major problem was the cooldown. I cannot even do anything or test it. The only hope left is talent. I can only hope that the talent is a cooldown reduction talent.

I used the talent draw, and after that, a rainbow light glowed on me. This time, I knew what talent I had. It was "BODMAS."
