FIRST MOVE

Vicheli High School is the newest and most advanced school developed by the government. Its aim is to find young talents all around the world, founded in 2028, the whole purpose of its development is to make human advancement possible in such fields by utilizing and giving the best education to the students from all around the world, as said by its founder, Vahcolm Hoffmann. The school has been going ever since and has been successful in delivering on its promises.

In the nine generations that has passed, many excellent people had been made by this school. Akari watanabe, a student who graduated from Vicheli, is now an outstanding scientist. She is the very first person to invent an artificial chip that can enhance someone's memory. Another person is Charlie Cranfield, who, after he graduated from vicheli, pursued technology. He is now working for the government and has been at the top of his class ever since. And now there's me, a 16-year-old who hasn't achieved anything in life.

"Maybe it's my fault for being so unsocial.

"Well, I don't care "

Vicheli High School isn't limited to prodigies; anyone can get in even if they don't possess other worldly talents. There are ways someone can apply:

one is to be acknowledged by higher-ups like the government or even the school. Another is to apply for an special exam that will be held online.

There are thousands of students every year that has been accepted. It means that entering is all about hard work.

"It's kind of unprofessional of them to make the exam online; that seems like a stupid idea."

"Well, here we go."

"Let's begin"

An hour has passed since I found the website after searching for hours;

The website shows that someone has to register themselves if they want to take the exam. Looking at the screen at first glance it seems like there's nothing that resembles a registration area.

"What I don't understand, why there's no registration entry here.

Left with no choice I was ready to take the exam

"I might as well start the exam."

I pressed the enter button to start and it showed a message

"Are you sure you're ready?"

is what it says after I press the enter button.

There are two selections on the screen: "yes" or "no.

Without any hesitation, I pressed yes, the screen quickly showed the requirements and rules.

I started reading the rules.

" This test will measure your bare capability in solving problems; you must not study in advance. Must use raw knowledge.

"Hint, don't think.

"Rules, don't cheat."

"Condition, Answer the question."

"Well, I don't understand a single thing".

After reading the rules I stared at a blank wall for minutes trying to figure out what all of that meant. Nothing to think of a solution I finally started the test, it took me to a page that looked like an article.

"That's weird." 

"Where's the test? "

Being confused, I started to think back on why this happened. I tried searching for anything on the screen. And I found—

"A timer?

"3: minutes!!!! What?"

The time is ticking.

Panicking, I started to look back of what the rules meant.

"So this exam will test your knowledge of solving problems; it also doesn't require studying.

the fact that this only has a 3 minute means that it's a simple exam."

"Maybe this is not the exam.

I looked at the timer

1:34 ....1:33.

Sigh~

I tried reading the article but—

"This article has 500 pages."

"Its impossible to read this for the time that I have."

" What should I do?"

" So the article has 500 pages; this means that I'm not supposed to read them."

" I have to start thinking about what to do..."

60 seconds left...

sigh~

60 seconds have passed.

A message popped up on my screen.

"Congratulations!" Kein Clayford, you have passed the first test.

I read the rest of the message. It has all the information I need for an area I'm supposed to visit.

"So I'm supposed to go to an island to take the real exam, it seems like this is the requirement to get in."

" Okay, why not."

That wasn't a test; I knew it, It would be stupid for them to make the exam online. This must be the registration."

"It just makes sense, to press Yes, you've  registered yourself in; it made it obvious when they said

"Are you sure you're ready."

which is the only question on the site.

"They might have taken all my information online by me pressing yes"

"Well, that's smart of them."

This explains why thousand of students are able to enter. 

"I wonder how many of them got accepted?"

" I'm looking forward to their next step. "

I'm kein, a 16 year old who lives in whales, my parents works abroad.

It might be strange that I'm living alone, but I'm having fun.

I like watching anime and been a huge otaku as long as I can remember. Hopefully, my life turns in a good direction. 

A DAY HAS PASSED

"Hmmm"

"I'm bored, Is there anything in the fridge?"

I quickly went to the fridge and opened it, and to my shock, a horrific scene made an appearance.

"Shit, there's nothing inside, there's only a water bottle that doesn't even have water in it.

"I have to go get groceries.

Getting ready to touch the grass, I went ahead to  changed my clothes.

"I can't believe I'll be running out of food."

I continued to open the door and went outside

"It's been a while, and the fresh air is nice to breathe sometimes.

I went to get my bicycle and cycled to my destination.

I never like riding with strangers;  that's why I bought a bicycle, so I can go alone.

Maybe when I grow older, I'll buy a motorcycle.

After hours and hours of traveling, I finally reached the city.

I saw the mall and went in.

"Alright, let's get in."

SIR, what are you doing? You cannot bring the bicycle inside!

I was startled of the loud voice that I heard.

The entrance guard aggressively walked towards me and stared at me.

I replied

"Ummm, oh, I forgot.""

I'll take it outside."

I looked at the people around me and saw their disgusted faces looking at me.

"Why are they looking at me like I just murdered someone??"

Setting that aside, never going outside made me forget the basic rules of society.

"Well, I couldn't care less."

I walked around the inside the mall and searched for the things I wanted to buy.

"It's been a while since I last got here; my parents used to buy all the goods when they're still here.

Sigh~

"Well, it's no use complaining now, what happens happens; let's just buy the goods and go home."

I bought as much food as I can and after a few minutes, it was finally done.

"Finally, I can finally go home now."

Excited, I went outside as fast as possible, I saw a strange scene.

"Wait, where's my bike?"

Nervous, I looked around to see if my bike is still around. I failed

"Someone must have stolen it."

Vicheli High this the school? I wonder if this is worth it.

"Chiu!" Wait for MEEE!

"Huh, what took you so long?"

"Is this the school LIU!???."

"Tell me, Ying, why are you always following me? I never told you to be with me."

"HA!! What do you mean? Shut up already."

"Tell,..... Uahhaa Hey, don't ...DON'T PULL MY HAIR!!"

"LET'S GOOOO!!! TOGETHER"

"AHHH, STOP MY HAIR!" It hurts, stop.

STOP IT! YING AHH!"

10 MINUTES AFTER.

"HEY!!, is that my bike?"

"Haa! What are you saying, kid? Go home if you don't want to get hurt."

"Give it back; it's not yours."

"What if I don't want to kid?"

The guy walked towards me; he slowly pulled out what seemed like a weapon—a knife."

"Sigh" 

"Okay, fine I'll go home."

The guy is standing 13 inches away from me; his reach isn't that much longer than mine; it seems like he's in his 20s, which means he has a strength advantage and he's also huge.

What should I do? I need to get my bike back.

"Hey kid, my patience has reached its limit..."

Shit, it seems like this guy snapped, okay I have a plan..

I proceed ask the stranger a question.

"WAIT... I HAVE A QUESTION..."

The stranger, seemingly confused, walks closer to me.

"I'm going to kill you!!!"

"Okay, its time..I quickly punched his groin."

The man after being punched on a sensitive area is screaming in pain.

"AHHH, that fucking hurts!"

I went to grab my bike and quickly got out of there as fast as possible.

"Shit, that's pretty lucky."

I guess that worked, the plan is if the stranger comes close enough, I can attack weak spots that includes the groin. By making that possible I have think of a way to get him near me without me walking to him. Cause there's a possibility that he'll think that I'm a threat, which can lead him stabbing me. By asking him a question will trigger confusion and can cause him being pissed resulting him approaching me.

I'm glad to pull that simple trick off.

After the incident I went home thinking back of what happened.

"I wonder, how did a man become like that?"

"Well, that's not my problem."

30 MINUTES EARLIER

I went inside the store for a full 15 minutes, that means the culprit hasn't gone to far away from here...

" Hmmm"

Assuming if he used the bike which Is 80% a possibility. the culprit is used on doing this since they did it at the best timing, which means that they've been watching me the whole time....

I have three options.

"One is to search for the culprit around the city.

Two is to ask people if they've seen the culprit .

Three Walk home."

Sigh~

"I guess i'll be walking home.."

I continued to to walk and walk for minutes

and then I saw a guy.

A muscular man with something besides him..

Its that my bike...

The man fiercely looks towards me and said with a loud voice.

"Where are you looking at!!"

I looked at the bicycle to make sure it's mine,

then said

"Im looking at my bike"

The man seemingly pissed walks away from the bicycle and shouted

"HUH!! DO YOU WANNA DIE KID!!"

I don't understand why this 6ft guy would steal my bike.

That doesn't matter im here now I have to get it back.

Option 4 being lucky

Different outcome, it's not a surprise that life is full of limited option, we can have choices but it's possible that none of those choices are correct.

Sometimes the only thing we can only do is iliminate those unwanted options and preserve the closest one.

"Well I can't be bothered,

the most important thing is I got my bike back."

"I'mma make a sandwich kinda hungry.."
