The Nature Of Chaos

On August 10th, 2022, his neighborhood ran red with blood. Erin Ward, at age eighteen, was one of the only ones who made it out alive. Everyone older than him had perished, leaving only the children to tell the world that even they had no knowledge as to what had happened... but Erin was determined to find out.

“Maybe now that I've killed a few of those things they'll start to come for me, right Zargose?“

“Probably. It all matters that they know who’s killing them. If that’s the case… they'll come to repay the favor. But I’m guessing that’s what you want?”

”Precisely.

“So you're trying to find a chaos specialist that managed to kill around what, Like 60 people? Yet you're still going to high school.”

'Absolutely, and I bet I can pull it off with you and that destruction chaos ability of yours. I still value my education, you know. I think it’s what my family would have wanted.”

First day of senior year. Class One.

“Hey what’s your name?” An eager student introduced herself to Erin.

“Erin, Erin Ward.’

“My name is Lily Anderson, nice to meet you.”

“Yeah you too, how do you do?”

“Good, you?”

“I’m good thanks for asking.”

“Your welcome “

“Hey I like your war hammer shirt.”

One of Erin’s favorite hobbies was a tabletop game called Warhammer 40k.

“Oh you like Warhammer!”

Class dismissed.”

“Want to talk more at lunch?”

“Sure that sounds great.”

At Lunch

“So Lily, do you have any other hobbies?”

“Oh yeah I love playing dungeons and dragons along with Warhammer.”

“I’ve never played D&D, but it sounds fun. Maybe you could introduce me to it some time.”

“I’d love too!”

Then out of nowhere a large crescent shaped, purple and black glowing piece of chaos matter flies over their heads and destroys the wall behind them, blood sprayed all over them, half the cafeteria had been decapitated. A humanoid demon emerges from where the matter came from.

“Finally! I've been waiting for one of you demons to show up!” Erin yelled in excitement.

“I thought I told you this alreadyErin, that's not actually a demon, that's a person who has made an alliance with a demon for its physical form and its powers like you and me.”

“Right, right I know, just lend me your powers Zagrose so I can kill this demonic bastard!”

“Remember you have only 30 minutes till you go brain dead from the deterioration of your mental health, but it should only take around 15 minutes for it to be fully restored.”

“got it, I'll have to make this quick.”

“Who are you talking to?” Lily asked.

“You just gonna stand there or are you gonna fight me!” said the chaos specialist.

“NOW ZARGOSE!!! Erin transformed into a powerful demon “AAAAHAHAHA! It’s been a while so I may be a little rusty but this should be a piece of cake! You piece SHIT!!!!!!”

“Bring it asshole!!!!!!”

“Chaos BEAM!”

A large glowing red beam of chaos matter is shot out of zargose's

 hands and hits the other chaos specialist, once the beam hits them it explodes and shoots the other specialist through the cafeteria wall and into the main hall of the school.

“void projectiles!”

Two smaller shards of his chaos matter are shot out of his hands, one hits the ground on Zargose’s right side but the other scrapes off a small chunk of his left leg.

“AAAAAAAAAA!!! Come over here you piece o-of bitch ass! CHAOS BOMB!”

Zargose uses both his hands to charge a powerful ball of chaos matter and throws it at the other specialist, it seems like they were engulfed in the explosion but they managed to shoot two shards of their chaos matter into the ground flinging them into the air dodging the explosion.

“Damn You ASS HAT!” Zargose continues to try and blast the enemy with his chaos magic but they continue to dodge, eventually though they blow off Zargose’s arm.

“AAAAAAA-aaA!” Zargose, screaming in pain, shoots a giant chaos beam with the one hand he had left; it hits much of the ceiling, collapsing it, crushing the specialist. Erin goes back to normal.

“What the Hell are you thinking Erin ?!?!?!?”

“A-AA-AA-A.”

“ You bastard, you nearly killed me!”

“AAHH-HaHA.”

“Oh and think that's funny, well if you want to kill the specialist that killed your family then you're gonna have to make sure that you're being careful with MY BODY!”

“B-but doesn't your body grow back while I’m not using it?”

“ yes but it won't if it's completely gone!” The specialist busts out of the rubble and runs off as the police arrive.

“Damn that son of a shit!” Erin screamed.

“What the hell just happened to you Erin !?” Lily asked in a frightened manner

“Oh Lily um you see I have an alliance with the Demon of destruction his name is Zargose he's a really nice guy.”

“W-what do you mean?! How is Zargose, what is happening, and who even are you.”

“ I’m human I can just inhabit the body of a demon and use its powers, you got that?”

Erin responded.

“This is the POLICE!!!”

“ Yeah Zargose we should probably go now. Lily it was great seeing you but I’ve got to go, I hope I can see you again soon!”

Erin ran out of the building and back to his house the school was closed for two years, Erin and Zargoes continued to train and get stronger so they would be ready to fight any other specialist that comes their way.
