Chapter 09 The Boss Cat

A new morning dawned, and Kobito no Otoko braced himself for another day of adventure. As he peered out through the glass, he noticed a figure approaching him. The sight was all too familiar - every two days, this creature came to harass Koji. It was a serious matter that needed to be addressed, as Koji prepared himself for the upcoming conflict.

It was the tough-looking cat known as Cat Boss or Snufful to those who truly knew him. He had seen things that would make most felines shiver with fear. His dark fur was matted in places, evidence of his battles in the streets and alleys of the city. A scar ran down the left side of his face, a reminder of a particularly nasty fight.

As he sauntered towards the vending machine, he oozed an air of confidence and superiority, his eyes flicking around the area as if daring anyone to challenge him. His body was fat, he was a chonker cat. He knew how to take care of himself, and no one dared to cross him.

Cat Boss threw smirks at anyone who approached him as if daring them to try and take him down. He was the Boss of the cats in the area, he was feared, and he knew it.

As the Cat Boss swaggered up to Koji's vending machine, he thrust his head into the slot where the soda cans dropped, growling and demanding his package. "Koji! Meow! Are you in there? Give me what I came for, meow! I know you're in there, Koji. You never leave this machine! Prrrr!" 

Koji emerged from his hiding place, a rapier in his hand made from a long sewing needle, he is ready to confront the menacing feline, "Leave! You wretched creature! I don't have your catnip! And I will never give it to you! Leave, or face me in battle!"

 Cat Boss squeezed himself halfway through into the vending machine and started violently swiping his paw at Koji while shouting, "We had this fight many times, meow! Just give up Koji! Give me the catnip, meow! We all know how this fight ends, meow!"

Cat Boss was throwing fast jabs, Koji dodged and weaved, his moves lightning-fast. But unfortunately for Cat Boss, he swiped at Koji's needle and poked himself. Cat Boss froze, his face contorted in pain, and he sprung outside of the vending machine. 

 After licking his paw, the Cat Boss spoke, "Heh! You got some fight in ya, meow! I will retreat for today but mark my words, Koji! I will return for my catnip, don't think you've seen the last of me! Meow!"

Koji stood tall, a proud smile on his face. Once again, he had protected his humble home from the menacing behemoth that had been wreaking havoc on the entire block.
