Chapter 7:

Chapter 6

The Arrival Of The Magic Engineer

The girl was shaking on the table as she looked at Tom.

"Why am I so stupid?! There are some travellers who are summoned to this world... They are used for research purposes; I thought Tom was also one, and God just decided to give him an easy headstart..."

But I was wrong... I was so fucking wrong! I was so arrogant in front of him... He will most likely kill me the moment he wakes up; I have significantly underestimated and disrespected him... And also dig into his past to some extent..."

"I overdid everything... Even the bragging part... Although I am the executioner... But I am more like an illusionist to execute orders, such as playing with the newcomers' minds to ease their anxiety!"

"I have really done it this time... And now I can't even leave... I was too careless! He is a real monster whom I have failed to realise!" Whispered the girl.

She hit her head on the table a few times with great strength. It resulted in her forehead turning red.

"W-what?!" Shivered the girl.

And he quickly looked around the room.

"H-how... On ho... He has a shadow even in the darkness... His shadow is so prominent that it is darker than darkness itself! What the fuck am I going to do?"

"As I look around... Everything seems normal at first, but now I understand everything... It used to be an abandoned house, but the moment Tom touched it, the house was transformed into his personal domain... Every piece of furniture, every item, and every tool is a sentient being! And they are furious because I disrespected their master... I can feel their gaze all over my body... And not only that."

"They are all emitting a powerful and terrifying amount of power, but the most terrifying of all the things... Is his shadow! I can already feel it... It already chained me here; I will no longer be able to move!" Thought the girl.

Suddenly her bones started cracking, and she kneeled down and bowed; her head touched the desk. Although it was naked to the human eye, the girl was already painted by the shadow; the shadow was not in control of her body; the binding was done purely by the shadow's magical power.

"Slashy slash goblins...." Mumbled Tom in his sleep

"Limit reached... Proceeding to advance... Advancing." Said an unknown voice.

"W-what the?!" Uttered the girl.

Suddenly the shadow's power decreased drastically, and she was able to move slightly. She looked around the room quickly.

"W-what just happened?! Everything that previously was emitting a dominant and menacing aura is now shivering in fear... They are scared to death... Even the shadow is afraid; I can feel that its bindings have slightly been weakened, but it is still potent!" Thought the girl as she looked around.

Suddenly, immense pressure started pushing her down. She was unable to fall as the shadow's power was still holding her. Her eyes widened, and she was unable to speak, and her head hit the desk. She was gritting her teeth and was shaking. The pressure kept on increasing, and her body started giving out cracking sounds.

"W-what is this pressure?! I-is it Tom's doing? I... This is impossible! I must curry favor with him if I want to stay alive! Even in his sleep, he is exerting such a powerful aura..." Thought the struggling girl.

Soon the pressure started rapidly increasing, and the poor girl fainted from it. Although she was unconscious, she kept up the kneeling position since the shadow held her in place.

Early in the morning, Tom woke up. It was so early that barely any sunlight came into his room. As he yawned, he noticed the tiny girl on his desk. The girl had been conscious for about an hour, and as Tom woke up, she started shaking and sweating, as she was unable to move.

"What is this? Is it..." mumbled Tom as he rubbed his eyes.

"Sir! Please forgive me! Yesterday I was repulsive, arrogant and offended you! Please forgive me!" Shouted the kneeling girl.

"Am I hearing things again? This voice sounds like that voice I heard in my dream... If that was really a dream!" Mumbled Tom.

"T...That was me, sir! I am sorry to have acted that way! I thought you were just another average person who was summoned here to share their knowledge with us! Had I known that I would have never played with your mind!" Shouted the girl nervously; her voice was slightly shaking.

"What? Who is talking?!" Said Tom and looked around.

"M-me! on the table, sir!" Replied the girl.

"You mean that tiny figure? If so, then why don't you stand up? That is if you are really that..." Said Tom as he stared at the tiny girl.

The power in the room suddenly forced her to stand up, and in the process, her back cracked.

"So... You are the one who is responsible for the fact that I am so indifferent to the fact that I am here?!" Said Tom and gently touched the girl's head with his index finger.

The girl tried to hide, but she gritted her teeth as she felt the shadow's pressure coming from Tom's touch, but since she was still bound, she was unable to kneel down. Eventually, Tom pulled his finger back and smiled.

"I have to admit, although it sounds a bit scary, in the end, it really helps, as I don't care that much about it, and I can just enjoy my life!" Tom said.

"Sir... From this day forth, I shall be staying by your side! It is my duty to help you!" Jabbered the girl.

"I must get on his good side; otherwise, I am dead... I can't run away! The only way for me to stay alive is if I submit..." Thought the girl.

"Erm... Are you sure? I am nothing special... I am just an engineer, and a handyman, to some extent..." Tom said and scratched his head.

"Of course!" Replied the girl without hesitation.

"Sure... I guess... by the way, you already know my name; why don't you tell me yours?" Tom asked with a nervous smile.

The shadow's power suddenly increased and started crushing the girl's body. Her bones began cracking, but it was so quiet Tom didn't hear it.

"Fuck... This shadow really hates me... I did forget to introduce myself, but this is a bit too much... I can barely breathe!" Thought the girl as she forced a smile onto her face.

"Its... F-Fer!" The tiny girl replied, and the pressure weakened but didn't vanish.

"I see. Nice to meet you, Fer."Tom said with a smile.

And then he brought his right index finger close to the girl's chest. Since the girl couldn't move, she just stared at Tom's finger and then looked back up at him nervously.

"Oh... Sorry... Back in my world, we tend to shake hands... Since my hand is too big, I thought my finger would be fine... it seems I made the situation awkward... Sorry" Tom added and sighed.

The pressure the girl felt suddenly skyrocketed. Tom was about to pull his hand back, but suddenly the girl grabbed his finger with two hands and forced a smile onto her face, despite the pressure she felt.

"Sorry... I-I didn't know... N-nice to meet you." Said the girl as the pressure decreased.

"I am sorry, but I will have to go. I still have some tests to do..." Said Tom after a short pause.

"Is there anything I can do to help you?" The girl replied as fast as she could.

"Well... I was on a search for some sort of material or things that could be used for padding." Said Tom and nervously scratched his head.

"Don't worry! I will do my best to figure something out!" Came the response from the girl, and she smiled.

"Thanks... Oh, and please make yourself at home!" Added Tom.

Then he stood up and stretched his arms and back. Before he left the house, he grabbed an axe and a knife and then walked out; although it was still somewhat dark, he could see the wolves, and Elnin was playing. The girl was riding on Doli's back, and they were having fun. The moment they noticed Tom, who was chuckling, they stopped and walked closer to him.

"Good morning, everyone!" Tom greeted them.

"Morning... Tom," The girl replied with a nervous smile.

"Doli, Lodié, I hope you liked the new house... Although only one is finished... I promise I will finish the second soon!" Tom said and yawned.

The wolves looked at each other with widened eyes and then jumped up in excitement; Elnin almost fell off of Doli, but she managed to grab his fur in time.

"Hey?! Is someone here?! I think I just heard someone laugh!" Shouted a voice from the gate.

Tom looked at the gate and then walked over to it, and then opened it. Behind it, a young woman stood with her arms crossed. She glared at Tom as he opened the door. She was pretty short; she was wearing light, yellow leather armour. She had a sword attached to her side. She had short brown hair and brown eyes.

"Yes? Can I help you?" Tom greeted her.

"Servant, call your master here! I want to talk to him and be quick; you are not paid to be lazy!" Ordered the girl.

"That would be me!" Tom Replied.

"What? Don't fuck with me! You? Do you take me for a fool? How would you be the owner? You look nothing more than a servant or a handyman!!" Shouted the girl and stomped on the ground.

"Technically, yes, I am a handyman, but..." Tom started explaining but was cut off.

"I don't care, Move out of my way; I will find the owner myself". Said the girl and pushed Tom away as she walked in.

"Good luck with that." Mumbled Tom as he left his territory.

The girl stormed over to Doli and Elnin, who were next to the house Tom carved for the wolves. Lodié was lying in the house and was about to fall asleep when the girl arrived.

"You! Servant girl! Where is the owner of this house?!" Shouted the woman.

Lodié, Doli and Elnin looked at her at the exact same time. Lodié walked out of the house and sat down.

"Who the fuck are you?" Asked Lodié.

She started grinning and growling, and she started emitting a murderous aura. The girl was at first surprised to see the wolf but then grabbed the hilt of her sword.

"Doggie, I advise you to watch your tone! I am not someone you can afford to mess with! You are not that special; you are merely at the Fostering Element fourth stage! You stand no chance against me!" Declared the woman.

"If I were you, I would just simply shut my fucking mouth! You have no idea whose territory you are in! You can kill me, yes. But you would die moments later!" Lodié roared.

"Funny, let's see; worst case scenario, I will compensate the owner for the loss... Not at you worth much!" Asserted the woman.

She drew her sword and was about to slash at Dolié, who sat there motionless. With a broad smile on her smile, she started laughing. Suddenly from the direction of the house, a purplish glow appeared, and her blade shattered. The girl quickly looked around. At the door, a shadowy figure stood; it was holding the cursed sword, which was emitting a menacing purple aura.

"T-the curse weapon... A-are you the..." Uttered the girl but was cut off.

"HOW DARE YOU!? You dare to come here and cause trouble in Master's domain?! Are you tired of living?!" Shouted the blade.

"W-what..." Uttered the woman.

Suddenly the whole house started emitting a powerful aura, and the intruder was pushed down to the ground.
