It had been a few days since Esther’s last visit to the library and she was allowed to go after a long time of waiting.

She had tried to investigate more on the mysterious system she had been given but all she got was a message stating that she must wield a Katana, and for all she knew that was quite impossible currently she couldn’t even get hold of a simple dagger not to talk of a katana. She went to the library because she wanted to know more about how to use magic. She got a book called ‘Guide to Magic 1’. It had actually helped quite a lot, but she couldn’t do quite a lot in a secluded place such as this library so she quickly escaped through one of the open windows and went to a sandy field. She decided to stay here as it seemed like the best place as the training grounds would probably be filled with soldiers. She sat cross legged on the stone that was in the middle of the field, and followed the instructions to unlock magic. It was a gruesome procedure and usually required much supervision. She was to slowly draw mana through the tiny pores on her body, it was excruciating as she felt the mana surrounding her condense and enter her. She guide the little mana strings into her body building a mana core and several veins flowing through every single part of her body, this would help her control mana easily. She continued to accept the mana until she felt a change in her body. It felt as if she had finally broken from the shackles binding her. She slowly opened her eyes only to see a disaster it was as if all the elements of the world battled here and all of the lost, and in the middle of this chaos stood a katana with a sheath laying beside it. The katana was of beauty with a white handle and a pure black blade with a type of draconic being on the hilt and blade. Esther was mesmerized but was also interrupted with a bunch of messages from the system.

She was surprised as she had no clue how she was supposed to do so. Despite the fact she had never wielded a katana she felt so close to it, so she let herself go and swings the katana as if it was a paintbrush on her canvas and in under a fem minutes she had completed her task.

She was practically beaming at the fact that though the quest was simple she got a lot of precious rewards.She looked at the sky realizing that it was getting late she headed back to the castle and entered the library only to see Avian sitting on a chair drinking tea and reading a book called ‘Love between A Knight and A Butler’. She was frightened at the fact that she was discovered and quickly rushed to explain but was interrupted by Avian saying,”You’re finally back from your little trip now aren’t you?”Esther was confused and asked Avian suspiciously, “If you knew I was gone why didn’t you stop me?”. He laughed amused and replied grinning,”Now where is the fun in that?”. He didn’t allow me reply and stood up walking away vanishing. I guess that left me alone, I decided to just go back to my room and look at all my rewards.

I found out that inside these boxes instead of there being a random item a screen appeared showing me a selection of things. I chose wisely for all the boxes and got these:

i. Necklace of the Moon

Boosts Stealth and Speed x 2

ii. Gloves of Paralyse

Paralyses Opponents

Skill:Paralyse

iii. Night Enveloper

A knife that envelops the opponent in darkness while slowly draining their mana

iv. Blood Moon

A ring that can grow stronger with blood

She was happy that she could get such strong items. She was ready to go to sleep when a distorted screens appeared telling her to name her katana and after much complementation she named it Xyster.

The screen then changed and showed her that her katana was now bounded to her and it apparently grew with her. She thought that was the end but she was bombarded with more quests.

The 1st task seemed easy and the others seemed like it was out of her grip, too tired to care she decided to leave it for her future self to deal with sleeping with a glad mind at the fact she was becoming stronger
