Prologue: Spiritual Arts Academy 0

Memory of a Forgotten Warrior

The world had once been a battlefield, torn apart by a catastrophic war between humans and beasts. The remnants of that conflict had resulted in the establishment of an oligarchical nobility republic, with powerful figures ruling over the masses. But despite the peace that now prevailed, remnants of that tumultuous past lingered, and the scars it had left on the land and people were still fresh.

On this particular day, a young man stirred from his slumber, his mind reeling from a nightmare that had haunted him for as long as he could remember. He sat up, rubbing his bleary eyes, and reached for his eyepatch. His unique eye was not meant to be seen by others, and he made sure to conceal it from sight.

He was Hiroto Hinomori, a youth with no memory of his past, his family, or his own identity. His memories were a blank slate, save for the vivid nightmares that plagued him every night. He lived in a small village with a kind-hearted shopkeeper named Akira Tetsuhiko, who had taken him in after the war.

As he went about his day-to-day life, Hiroto couldn't shake off the feeling that something was missing, that there was a part of him he couldn't quite grasp. Akira tried his best to console him, to tell him that perhaps it was a result of an injury he had sustained during the war. But Hiroto remained restless, and the dreams only grew more intense.

Little did he know that the truth about his past was hidden in the shadows, waiting to be uncovered.

As the sun began to set, Hiroto walked towards the town square with Akira. They were greeted with the sight of a large group of people gathered around a notice board. Curious, Hiroto moved closer to see what all the fuss was about.

His eyes scanned the board until they fell upon a poster that read "Enrollment now open for the prestigious academy of spiritual arts". Intrigued, Hiroto turned to Akira, who seemed equally interested.

"The academy is renowned for its training programs that help students harness their supernatural abilities," Akira explained. "It's also the perfect place to learn more about your past, Hiroto."

Hiroto's heart raced with excitement. Maybe this was the answer to his questions, the key to unlocking the mysteries of his past. Without hesitation, he decided to enroll in the academy.

Little did he know that this decision would lead him down a path filled with danger, betrayal, and revelations beyond his wildest imagination. And little did he know that the seal placed upon him was suppressing two-thirds of his power, leaving him to believe that the 1/3rd power he had access to was his true potential. All the while, his right eye, the one he kept covered, would change colors, a reflection of his suppressed power waiting to be unleashed.
