Chapter 10:

Chapter 9

The Arrival Of The Magic Engineer

"I don't know what is going on, but I think Tom will be busy for quite some time... I went inside his study to check for clues... He is crafting some sort of glove and a weapon. At least from what I could gather from his drawings." Fer stated.

Everyone in the garden looked at her in anticipation of further explanation, but the tiny girl only shook her head and flew over to Elnin and then sat down on top of her head, slightly confusing the girl.

"Good thing is that the strange energy bursts seem to have stopped..." Fer thought as she leaned back.

Meanwhile, sometime later, in a distant area, in a vast and incredible garden, a man was walking and enjoying the slightly cold morning breeze. The garden was full of blooming flowers and trees; it was so large that the man couldn't see the end of it. The man had short blond hair and a pair of red eyes; he was wearing an expensive-looking reddish-purple shirt, pure white trousers, and a light yellowish cape. On the side of the man, there was a sword in its scabbard; a flower, which had purple petals the size of his palm, was in his hand, and he was enjoying its scent.

"What a lovely morning we have today..." The man mumbled.

A few seconds went by as the man just stared at one of the trees not far from him, and then he took another deep breath, taking another sip of the scent of the flower. After exhaling, the man finally decided to walk back to the road he had strolled down.

"It seems the new servants kept the garden well... It has been conveyed that the team I sent will soon return... I do hope they will provide satisfactory results. " The man thought.

Moments later, as he was walking back, he noticed a knight running towards him. The man stopped and just glared at the armoured man. By the time the knight got to the man and kneeled down, the man had already crossed his arms.

"Your highness! We have returned from the mission you have tasked us with!" The knight spoke up and stared at the ground.

"I see... I do hope you have come with good news as you seem to be fine." The king replied

"We...Sire, the information you have been given seems to be fake... what we have encountered was not a group of monsters... It was a... It was a domain, a gate to their domain." The knight started his explanation.

"Continue!" The king declared with a cold tone.

"Since we were prepared to eradicate only a group of monsters, we would have undoubtedly died, as even the vanguard of the monsters was stronger than us... But suddenly, a powerful golden warrior came and destroyed them... All by himself..." The knight explained while he was still staring at the ground.

"That must have been someone from a school... They are cunning... They did it so that I would owe them a favour... If it was really a single man who managed to accomplish it... He must be quite strong..." The king thought to himself.

"It seems king Rownen is furious... I will most likely be executed... I can feel his magical power...It is suffocating; I am unable to move... He is truly the real warrior king... His power is truly unfathomable!" The knight thought while he was trembling.

"I don't care what it takes; find that man for me! It is a royal edict! I wish to meet him in person and test his strength!" The king ordered and glared at the kneeling knight.

As he said that, he started emitting a powerful red aura from every part of his body and started covering the area around him.

"S-sir... there is more... I think you'd be interested to hear it." The man uttered as he tried to stop shaking.

"Spit it out already!" The king declared, and his aura dissipated

"That man vanished moments after he was finished... B-but, fortunately, we detected a few hours ago a burst of energy..." The knight uttered.

"Yes, I felt it as well... It was quite formidable!" The king replied coldly.

"T-that burst of energy was almost identical to the energy which was emitted by that golden warrior!" The knight described.

"Bring him here as soon as possible!" The king declared, and a slight smile appeared on his smile.

"Right away!" The knight stated.

Having heard the order, the knight jumped up and quickly started running. As for the king, he slowly started walking back to his castle, which was slightly visible in the distance.

"If this soldier stated the truth... That master could be around as strong as me...That burst of energy... I remember that when I finally managed to break through the Golden Core realm and reached the Core Of Mythium... I unleashed a similar burst of energy... But this one was different."

"It was stable, concentrated and purer... Also, it was multiple bursts of energy... It was strange; I have never felt anything like that." The monarch thought as he had a slight smile on his face.

Meanwhile, back over at Tom's domain, the wolves, the spider, and the two girls were all waiting in the garden. Due to the considerable amount of energy which was being emitted from the smithy, no one was able to sleep, so they decided to just wait. Soon the door of the forge opened, and Tom stepped out; he was perspiring and was not wearing his shirt. He was holding a pair of wooden prosthetic legs. It had a smooth surface, and it was nailed together from many smaller parts.

"Fer, come here, please," Tom shouted.

The tiny girl instantly flew over to Tom, who placed the prosthetics down by the door. The moment the girl looked at Tom, her face immediately turned red, and she slightly few back.

"Yeah... Sorry about that... I am sweating; it is scorching inside. Anyway, could you measure whether it is a good size for Elnin? I am sure it will need to be altered, but I am curious." Tom asked, and then quickly went back into the smithy.

"Yeah... Sure." Fer muttered.

The finger-sized girl looked at the construction made by Tom, and a nervous smile appeared on her face.

"What the hell is this? It has such dense magical energy that it is nerve-wracking! These prosthetics already have a consciousness... how did you do it? What kind of monster are you?"

"Although I know exactly... as I managed to see a portion of your past, but still... It is terrifying... And to say whether it is of good size..." Fer thought as she stared at the wooden prosthetics.

Elnin overheard Tom, and as she noticed Tom's construction, her tears welled up in her eyes, which slowly rolled down her cheeks. A few drops of tears hit the wolf she was riding; Doli took a deep breath, and enviouslí looked at the prosthetics, then decided to walk over to them. The moment Elnin got close to the wooden legs, they started emitting a slight magical aura.

"T-this..." The girl uttered.

Fer flew over to the girl; although she was pretty small, she tried to wipe the tears from Elnin's eyes with her arms. The girl smiled upon noticing the kind gesture and then gently touched the legs. The moment her finger reached the prosthetics, they instantly flew over to her and were attached to the girl. The legs were connected to her also as if they were the girl's original limbs.

"T-this... I-I can't... " The girl cried.

Elnin started crying and hugged Fer tightly. She was clutching her so hard that her tiny body was giving slight cracking sounds; she had no other option but to start poking the girl's chest.

"Elnin, I know you are touched, but at least let poor Fer breath; you are crushing her!" Doli stated.

"Oh...I-I am so sorry!" Elnin still cried, but she quickly let go of Fer.

"Many thanks... But please never repeat this..." Fer replied after finely, she could take in some fresh air.

Elnin put down her newly gained prosthetic legs. Although it was artificial, her knee bent as if it was an actual, human knee. The moment she touched the ground with her legs, she instantly pulled them up and started crying even harder; she learned from her previous mistake as she began to hug the wolf she was sitting on.

"I-I-I can feel the ground! I could never have dreamed about it, b-but I felt it..." Uttered the crying girl.

"See, Master is benevolent, so you must do your utmost best to repay his kindness, or I will personally end you!" The Doli declared with a growl.

The girl didn't say anything; she was just crying while hugging him. Then she finally took a deep breath; although she had stopped crying, her eyes were still filled with tears. Elnin slowly put her legs down and stood up. She was shaking as it was a new experience for her, so she used Doli to support her.

The girl soon let go of the wolf and started slowly walking around the garden with a broad smile on her face. She was about to start running, but suddenly the gate was busted open.

"I am done fucking around! Do you have any idea how long I have been waiting here for?" A man shouted from the other side of the fence.

"Father! Please wait! You are just making things worse. I-I don't want to see any more of those nightmares!" A womanly voice shouted.

"OUCH! FUCK! it will leave a mark!" Tom shouted from the smithy!

"Come out now! I will teach you how to treat your elders!" The man once again shouted.

Moments later, a man entered through the open gate. The man was wearing a simple plain shirt and trousers, and he had a sword on his side. Behind him, still outside of the garden, the girl who previously came uninvited was kneeling in the dust and was shaking. A horse with a small cart behind it was standing not far from the kneeling girl.

"A bunch of animals and a girl?! Is this the so cold territory of that master?! Liéna, You have been fooled; How could you be this stupid? This is..." The man shouted but stopped talking as soon as the forge's door opened.

Tom stepped out. On his right hand, a new-looking glove was and was holding a hammer in it. As for his other hand, He was sucking on his index finger, and his mouth was slightly bloody.

"Ouch... I cut my finger." Tom mumbled as he looked at the intruder.

"Are you the owner of this property?" The man questioned.

"As far as I know, yes. Why? What can I help you with?" Tom asked after he removed his bleeding finger from his mouth.

"You managed to fool my poor girl, Liéna; she says you are some kind of..." The man voiced

"Father, SHUT UP already! You are making things more complicated and harder!" The kneeling girl shouted.

"Shut up, Liéna; I will take care of this fake! If you are really what my daughter said, then you must be able to..." The father continued not caring about what his daughter wanted to say.

The girl suddenly jumped up, gritted her teeth, and with all her strength, rushed after her father and kicked his back. And then grabbed his head and smashed it into the ground.

"S-sir, p-please forgive my idiot father... I wanted to come alone, but he insisted on coming... He is... I-I have brought a tribute for my previous actions; please don't be angry! " The sweating girl jabbered as she kept her father's head in the dust and kneeled on his back while shaking.

"Tribute? What for?" Tom asked gently.

However, what the girl felt, was not a gentle voice. It was a severe and cold tone to her ears. She started shaking wildly. Her father tried to stand up, but she hit his head hard, pushing his head deeper into the ground.

"Erm... Miss, please stop kneeling... It feels bizarre... I am nothing special. I am just an engineer and a handyman!" Tom said with a genuine smile.

The girl instantly jumped up, but what she felt was not a kind smile but a diabolical one.
