Chapter 6:

RECOLLECTION, PROMISE AND DETERMINATION TO GET STRONG

The Sea God's Rise: Conquering a World of Magic and Faith

As Andrew woke up, he was hit with the realization that despite defeating the monsters, he was still weak.

He couldn't shake the thought that his talent was useless without proper use. His body was sore and he struggled to speak,

but he replayed the battle over and over in his mind, trying to understand why the monster's attack had become so intense when it emerged into the open air. Eventually, he realized that he had wasted his chance because he couldn't detect the monster's movements.

He then thought, "I need this skill," as he realized the importance of having a no-cooldown buff. He felt his strength returning as he spoke, "System status, please." A golden holographic screen appeared in front of him.

Andrew analyzed the screen and noticed that he had gained a new skill and leveled up a few times. He realized that each level added one point to every stat and gave him three free stat points. However, he was still curious about his reward.

Sensing his question, the system displayed a list of his rewards:

[2 * INTERMEDIATE HEALTH POTION, 100 * RANDOM REWARD TICKET, 3000 GOLD COINS].

Andrew assumed that the system had used a health potion to heal him while he was asleep, as most of his injuries were recovered.

[HOST, NEW QUEST HAS BEEN ISSUED. DO YOU WANT TO CHECK IT OUT?]

"Oh, show me what it has," Andrew replied.

[QUEST 1

AIM: REACH LEVEL 5 IN THE NEXT 3 DAYS

PENALTY: DEATH REWARD: ONE NEW SYSTEM FUNCTION, CLASS]

"How do I level up to level 5 in three days when there are no monsters to farm for exp and level up?" Andrew thought. However, he assumed that the system wouldn't have issued a death quest without a plan.

"But the system, I have a question. How did the monster's attack and speed become so good after coming to the deck? Was it due to the rain?"

[YES, HOST. YOU ARE RIGHT. THE MONSTER MUST HAVE HAD A TALENT FOR WATER AFFINITY.]

Andrew walked over to the monster's corpse and said, "Devour it." The black shadow consumed the corpse and presented him with a choice: [STAT POINT OR SKILL OR TALENT].

"Talent," Andrew said, and a rainbow light descended upon him. "System, show me the details of my talent."

[DEVOUR(S), 100X(S), WATER AFFINITY(E)]

[Water Affinity (E): The ability to effortlessly manipulate water elements, and an exponential increase in combat power in a moist environment.]

Despite the impressive talent, it was just ranked E. As I closed my eyes, I could sense the water elements around me and I was able to control a portion of it.

I tried to create a new skill, like a water ball, but the system warned me that it would affect my class selection, so I stopped. Instead, I found another way to play with the elements. Lost in my experimentation, I didn't realize the night had come.

The temperature drops rapidly at night in the sea, and I felt a chill run through my body. I retreated to the cabin on the second floor of the ship, fell onto the bed, and reflected on the day's events.

"What a crazy day it was - first transmigrating, and then almost dying in a monster attack. This suggests that I need to become stronger, even more, powerful than a god. Until then, I promise not to touch any girl.

And maybe there will be a way to revive the dead?" Exhausted from the day's events, I fell into a deep sleep.
