Chapter 3: The Attack!

As the team approached their destination, they could feel in their veins that the mission had been accomplished. However they were not the only one in the pursuit in finding the artifact as they was an another group of people, more so a group of pirates, who called themselves the Scavengers , who considered themselves as the scavengers of the ocean, where all the things in the ocean were their possessions, waiting to be discovered.

And so Dr. Rodriguez and her team were on high alert, knowing that they could encounter danger at any moment. As they approached the location on the artifact, they spotted the pirates submarine in the distance.

"We need to be careful. The pirates could be waiting for us.", said Dr. Rodriguez, scouting the horizon.

As they approached the location of the artifact, the pirates made an ambush and suddenly attacked the submarine.

"Prepare for an attack!" shouted Dr. Rodriguez, as the team were preparing readying their own weapons.

The pirates open fired, but the team were fortunate enough to dodge the cannon and returned their own attack, which the pirates did not expect of.

"You can't beat us!" shouted one of the pirates, taunting them. "We have been doing this for years!"

We'll see about that", replied Dr. Rodriguez, confidently. "We have something that you don't have knowledge and advanced technology based on the ocean"

The battle raged on for hours, but the team were able to outsmart the pirates with the help of their new defense system which had functions like laser beam which shot a beam with a temperature of over 25000°C, which made a huge hole in the pirates submarine and caused it to submerge, when their submarine was sinking they begged Dr. Rodriguez to save them but she showed no mercy in saving them, and so Dr. Rodriguez and her team emerged victorious.

However, the team knew that their journey was far from over and that they had overcome one of many obstacles that they were about to face.
