Chapter 32:

Epilogue of Volume 2: The Destroyer makes his move

The World's Savior is a Deviant?!

I relaxed my boots right below a monitor.

It was nice to be out of that armor for a change. This black lab coat doesn't look half bad if I do say so myself.

I resided inside my laboratory, lounging around. Even in my old world, it would have been recognized as state-of-the-art. I had three wide monitors running my computer where I recorded and came up with my research. Past it sat a giant screen that could project whatever I needed to, whenever I needed to with the power of holograms.

Behind me were my most prized possessions. 20 large incubation tanks were lined in a neat row. I had more, but they were in my second facility.

Each one contained a different type of beast-kin within its fluids. They were placed into hibernation so I wouldn't have to worry about feeding them. It would be a pain if they died on me after all. I was never particularly gifted at keeping pets.

Above the tanks displayed a small circular area hidden behind a glass wall. Inside were over a hundred Elctromites, piled to the brim with each other like easterners on a subway. They were small and skinny creations with little antennae and dark eyes. They possessed no mouths to speak of and yet they could squeal like pigs. They functioned the same as electricity in this world and it's because of that discovery that I was able to create these modern creations as well as instruments of war. Of course, those projects were in a different section due to space constraints. [Infinite Storage] is truly an amazing Skill.

A display of data sat on my center monitor while my other two had views from cameras at different angles. On my big screen in the back was a bird's eye view of a grand colosseum I had recently constructed in Unit #4 within [Infinite Storage].

As a young boy, I dreamed of owning a personal coliseum where people would fight to the death to amuse me. Now my dream had become reality.

Part of my success could be attributed to Epsilon's new copy ability. As long as it's a non-living object, she could consume and belch up two exact replicas of it. It has allowed me to use the few divine machine-like parts I received from Morgala and mass-produce them to construct whatever I wanted. Railguns and snipers were only the beginning. I was very close to putting together my own artificial intelligence, using the souls of dead humans and their brains as its makeup and energy source.

“I think it’s about time. Shall we?”

I press a key on my keyboard causing one of the coliseum doors to open with a small hissing noise. A large gargoyle was thrust into the sandy arena, the artificial sun bathing his skin in a bright blaze from above.

He gazed around in confusion. “W-where am I? He looked at the stands, but they are empty. No one was around but him.

I pressed another key with a large smile and spoke into the microphone to my left. “Hello, Gargoyle King Crentch. This is the Destroyer, Ivorn, speaking. If you want to be set free, you must defeat the foe I present before you. Do not worry, though, I have never told a lie. All you have to do is beat her.

I pressed another key and the door on the opposite side of the colosseum rose. A small girl stepped into the artificial sunlight.

After processing what he was seeing, Crentch pointed at her and laughed. “Ha-ha-ha! Are you underestimating me that much, Destroyer? Sure you bested me after using your minion to lure me in, but I have learned from my mistake. This will be a piece of cake.”

He unfurled his wings and broke into a stride before charging toward the girl with lightning speed. His razor-sharp talons were thirsting for blood...but he wouldn't find any there.

“My dear Crentch. After what you experienced, you still don't seem to understand, do you? You are still underestimating me and my creations."

The girl’s hand bulged and grew, destroying the fabric around her shoulder until it transformed into that of an albino gorilla. With a swift move of her massive appendage, she held the Gargoyle King in her firmly in her grasp.

“W-what trickery is this? That ability? How is this human this strong?! Raaaaaaaaah!"

I snickered, sneering at the foolish monster. “Since you aren't able to see it for yourself, allow me to enlighten you. At the moment, Protoform Theta is level 342. She far surpasses you in that aspect, but also every other as well. As expected of my first successful Chimera creation.

Crentch let out a loud gasp, “Chi...mera?”

As if on cue, Theta’s body expanded in size, her clothes shattering in the process as she forced her body to change shape. She wore the head of a dragon in the center with a serpent and hydra on the right and left. A massive lobster pincer became her right hand and the albino gorilla on her left. Her other two hands that sprouted out of her body possessed the arms of tigers and bears, respectively. Her entire frontal body was covered in sharp snake-like scales while her back was shrouded by a thick blue tortoise shell. Her four legs were the legs of a spider, crab, elephant, and lion.

You could say she was my greatest creation.

I slicked back my hair while displaying a cruel smile of satisfaction. It had not been easy to create this masterpiece. It took a lot of beast-kin corpses to craft and of course, I had to get replacements for each one I used to keep my collection filled out which was a pain. Getting one conscious to not only take control, but listen to my commands was no easy feat either, but I was someone who always finished their work once I started. My chimera was a success. She could even disguise herself as a normal human with the chameleon genes I added in. (I know it doesn't make sense, but blending into your surroundings in this world requires more than just changing your color).

When constructing her, she would absorb the level of the creature I mixed with her, hence the Beast Master’s arm becoming quite a useful tool. Even though she didn't inherit his abilities, the power and Skills she had absorbed from all the beast-kin I fed her resulted in a force to be reckoned with. She still couldn't manifest all her abilities at once; she had only been born yesterday after all, and this was her first real fight.

"ROOOOOAAAAAARAAAAA." Her three heads roared at Crentch before looking up to the sky. She was waiting for my approval.

Good girl.

“You may proceed, Theta.”

“W-w-wait...Destroyer. Can't we talk about this bef—” All three of her heads dove in on him mercilessly. It was like watching a lamb get slaughtered, torn limb from limb.

As his body parts were ripped off, they were consumed by her maws just as quickly. It would make her a little stronger, but she was already at a high level. Once she was done with her meal, she spat out a single gargoyle wing. She remembered that I always like to keep a piece of anything interesting. Just as I imprinted within her in the pod!

“That is all, Theta. Drop that wing off in the transfer tube and return to your pod, I have a special mission for you soon enough.”

Her imposing amalgamation of creatures distorted and shrunk until she was back to her former self. The girl displayed a cheerful smile, staring up at the sky with her hands behind her back. She waved up to me and then went back the way she came.

“She already has way more emotion than Epsilon, but I did nurture her myself. Either way, I am very pleased with the results.”

A beeping noise from my arm's holographic display alerted me of an incoming call. I tapped it a single time before tossing it onto the big screen.

A beautiful red-skinned demon appeared on my holographic monitor. “Hello there, my dear Destroyer. I am ready to accept your vessel... Woah, I am impressed. That tech surpasses most places in your old world. How intriguing."

I let out a light chuckle. “Why, thank you. You are on my largest screen right now and I have made some great progress with my specimen.”

“I see...and what of Crentch?”

“Taken care of. Only six remain.”

You truly have exceeded my expectations even with the Savior still breathing.”

I take my feet off the table and stand up. “Yeah, about that—I will have that taken care of as well.” I leaned over and pressed another key on my keyboard. One of my screens changed to that of Theta.

“Are you ready, my girl? You are going to make your dad proud real soon.”

She smiled and nodded slightly. “I am ready to slaughter that pest, the Savior for you, Daddy. I will gobble him up!"

I crinkle my nose. “Uh-huh, and what do we do after the Savior has been consumed?”

“We leave a piece of his remains for Daddy to study and send any beast-kin he has to the lab.”

“That's my girl. I love how you always remember everything I say.”

She opened her mouth with a wide, adorable grin.

“Epsilon, send her out.”

The cheerful girl disappeared without a trace. She was on her way to take care of some minor business. With the rate she is growing, I wonder how she will look when I see her again.

“Now…," I looked back to the giant screen, “Shall we get you your vessel?”

I entered a few inputs into my computer. It accepted my command bringing to life the assembly line of tubes rotate like a conveyor belt. It kept on chugging until a blond cat beast-kin came into view. I pressed enter on the keyboard, releasing the beast-kin from her hibernation as well as opening the pod.

She fell flat on her face and began to stir. “...Uhhhhh. Momma? Papa? Where did you go?”

“Ah..not bad. Right on the precipice of adulthood. She will do. You have the item I sent to you earlier, correct?”

“Epsilon,” I command to the entire area. A golden version of the Saviors scanner appeared in my hand. It appeared pretty tacky and stupid for my taste, but the dark god enjoyed the information it will provide and the link that connected her to the max amount of divinity her spirit could transfer.

I walked over to the puzzled cat girl and pick her up by the scruff of my neck. “W-who are you? What is this place? Why am I here? W-what do you want with me?” she asked like a scared kitten. How cute.

I cracked a devilish smile. “All will be answered once you put this on.” I dropped her on her feet and tossed it to her. “Do it,” I said, compelling her to obey my will.

"Okay..." She fumbled around with it but followed my movement of putting it over the left eye. The moment it made contact, her body froze, appearing as stiff as a tree while her eyes lost their color. The screen behind me cut to static, forcing me to shut it off.

“Not the best vessel, but it will do. I thank you, Destroyer.” The cat beast-kin sounded the same, but her eyes have taken on the same shade of deep blue sea while her lips form a somewhat deranged smile.

“Glad to be of assistance.”

“But this form…," she pointed down to the body's tomboyish hair and dirty overalls and shorts as well as the lack of flesh in the chest area, “..will not do. I will make use of my divinity while it's at the zenith."

She holds her hands over her short hair and brings them downward. Like a magical beanstalk, hair grows to neck length and shifts to raven black with a few curls here and there. She gained a foot of height as she placed her hands over her chest. A lustrous black dress that doesn't seem too hard to move in replaced the earlier outfit. The only problem I could see with this new dress was that the area where her breasts would have been was rather lacking and would easily get ruffled and exposed in the wind.

She took care of that easily too, cupping her hands over her chest and pulling outward. Two large pieces of flesh filled in what was rather empty before. Her skin and shoes changed as well, morphing into black sandal stilettos while her skin turned the color of blood that I was very used to from our meetings. Bat-like wings sprouted from her shoulders like a demon while her ears grew in length as well as her canines, mimicking fangs. she put the finishing touches on her metamorphosis with a triangle-pointed tail that snaked out from under her dress and waited behind her like a loyal dog.

“Ahhh, much better.” She smiled before licking her lips. Her seductive demeanor never left her no matter who she resided within.

“As I told you before, even without my full powers as a dark goddess, I can still prove quite useful. You had some leftover parts for me, right?”

“Of course, but I sacrificed Wiley for my chimera, so you will have to do with just two for now?”

Her eyes locked with mine, full of interest. “Two?”

“Yes, I recovered another creature from a kobold. He was carrying it with some caravan in the east. It looked strong. Epsilon, send us up and parts #34 and #35.”

Both of us disappeared for a brief second. I lightly fall out of Epsilon’s mouth with Morgala in tow. Epsilon lethargically had her back to the crypt where I captured Crentch and was currently immersed in a video game on the device I awarded her with. I modeled it after a famous Japanese game company and made my first game resemble some pesky plumbers on their quest to save a princess. I thought it was a rather shitty first game, but she enjoyed it and spent all her free time now playing it.

“Impressive,” Morgala commented, “I can't believe that place was inside that tiny girl.”

“It's really amazing what Skills with the right combinations can do in this world. As a scientist, I am quite bewildered by what I am able to do when I put my mind to it.”

I adjust my glasses and point to the mangled purple pile of body parts and the wing of Crench. “I have prepared these two for you, so please get to it.”

She started to purr. “With pleasure.” She cast her gaze on the two deceased creatures and stuck out her hand. A malefic crimson aura flowed from it and caressed the deceased.

Above them, a crimson-colored version of Crentch formed as well as a four-eyed monster with claws and a tail.

“These are quite a catch. You even managed to recover one of the Demon Lord’s creations.”

“It appears so, so what are these blood-colored versions of them, exactly?”

She sauntered between the two of them, appearing delighted as they bowed in response. “These are the result of using my [Blood Resurrection] magic on them. They are now my Blood-born. They retain everything about them when they were alive but are practically immortal in my care.

Her eyes twinkled, within them a void of infinite possibilities.

I put a hand to my chin. It was truly some interesting magic. Then something jumped to mind that I felt compelled to ask. “Is the reason you are joining me to not only assist me but to recover and revive the corpses of the generals so they can rule their countries without causing a mortal rebellion?”

It solved a lot of the problems for the demons, keeping their puppets on a short leash, never to be an enemy again.

"An amusing...thought." She forced her eyes directly into my soul. “It seems nothing gets past you. It is as you said. Any of the generals that I can recreate with my magic, will serve Eternal for all of, well—eternity. Even after I return to Dark Heaven, that fact will not change.

“Well, it's a shame no one will rule over that beast kingdom.” After all, no bits of Wiley remained since he was nothing but a human. How boring.

“No need to worry about that. That place is full of savage creatures and beasts. They will choose another leader soon enough and if it is a problem—we will snuff them out once more.”

“Oooh, hard,” I said. I spun around and looked up at the sky. “It’s a beautiful night. I wonder what that Savior is up to?”
