Chapter 132:

Chapter 121

Transmigrated Into a Noble's Beaten Son

The sun came and shone on the window of the baron’s once villainous son. As his red cold eyes open from the light, he yawns at the morning whilst he smiled and said to himself, ‘Good morning to you.’

Naell Beryldot was his name and that day was one of many he was soon to have on Mundo, yet certainly, a lot had already happened to him since his arrival.

From acquiring magic, enrolling in school, proving his worth, being acknowledged by his peers, and being friends with the protagonist party; all these marked his adventures that started a year ago.

It was certainly a normal and new day to everyone, yet for him who possessed a secret he could never share, it was special. That morning signified the very same date when he awakened from his beating.

Naell could only think to himself how the year had gone by so fast. And all that may have been the reason why he was still lying on his bed, far from the sunshine that he covered with his window curtains via his magic.

As hours went by, he was just staring at his bedroom wall. No noise emitted from Owly as his little friend slept last night in Lily’s room.

It had been days since they arrived at Beryldot. With the warm welcome of everyone including the two Yetis who for some reason got fluffier, Naell couldn’t help but think this village was truly his home.

Not that he didn’t like the vibe of Taglagas; he was grateful for the city that brought him a lot of things. It harbored many memories both bad and good. Nonetheless, maybe that was also one of the reasons why he was feeling quite sentimental that day.

‘I mean, I’ve already skipped breakfast so I might as well rest till lunch.’ Thought Naell who was still lazily lying on his bed.

His white wool pajamas were quite stuck on his bed, the comfort was too much that he wanted to dream again.

And yet Naell decided to sit on the bed, as although he still didn’t want to move, he had no intention of falling asleep once more.

‘Not much has really changed since then.’ He thought as he surveyed his room.

The noble-like room, of course, paled in comparison to this dormitory within Taglagas, yet that room’s ambiance always had that comforting feeling he couldn’t really describe.

He figured that perhaps the cause was also the old Naell’s lingering emotions. That place might be his only solace every day when he’d wake up pretending he was okay.

In any other case, Naell knew it was wrong to say he could relate to someone he had never really met. But as time went on where he’d kept the facade of the old Naell, and learned about his past and every single person in his life, the original’s feelings crept into his own conscience more frequently.

As such, he no longer doubted just how much he understood the baron’s once infamous son.

While he was pondering all that, a knock on his door managed to get his attention. With a yawn, he said, “Come in,”

And there they were, Lily, Owly, and his sensei, Sebastian who walked inside his room. The trio actually went walking in the garden after eating their breakfast waiting for Naell to wake up.

Yet when hours went by, and he was still nowhere to be seen, they could all only smile wryly and decide to fetch him.

“Good morning brother, you’re late today.” Said Lily with the biggest smile accompanied by her cheerful grin.

Opposite to her disposition, was Owly who immediately spouted insults on how lazy he was.

“As usual, you ought to make noon your morning, HOOT!”

“...Good morning to you too. But we all know you only wake up for breakfast, Owly.”

As the banters continued, Lily and Sebastian laughed. They were truly happy that the two really bonded over the months at school.

While that was a normal morning for Naell and Owly, they decided to make peace and head for lunch. As they were waiting for the lazy young master to prepare, the three had discussed where they would go.

It was not that they didn’t want to eat at home, they just wanted to hang out with Naell who was busy all that time accompanying Fharom.

Unlike Sebastian and Owly who knew of their father-son errands, Lily only had some gist of what was happening. Even though she was still a child, as a young noble lady, she knew of the war and how his father was solidifying their village.

The likes of demons were also a thing that kids knew from reading books. That was why some wanted to be adventurers in hopes of becoming heroes someday, much like Lily’s dream.

Lily was even lucky to learn magic, and under Sebastian, she was steadily becoming good at it. Especially with Owly's arrival who has the same dark element as her. Now, she could use advanced sealing magic which is the darkness' forte.

Sometimes when Sebastian was busy, Sestra, the sister of Captain Estra, would sometimes visit Beryldot teach her mid to long range combat, something she specialized in.

Additionally, as Sestra was a close mentor and acquaintance of the young miss of Arigare, Lily learned from her how Naell reconciled with Rinca. They were also a firm supporter of those two, hoping both would be engaged again.

Yet seeing how popular Rinca and Naell were in the circle of adventurers nowadays, Sestra and Lily knew it was quite impossible at the moment.

‘Especially when your brother is quite popular with many ladies.’

Lily could only sigh remembering Sestra’s words. Then again, so long as her brother was happy she was fine with it.

“Sorry for the wait.” Said Naell who just finished cleaning himself up. He was wearing his usual white polo shirt paired with black “special” tailor-made stretchable pants.

Owly replied gruffly as per usual while Lily and Sebastian smiled. He then took his sister's hands as they went outside of the Beryldot’s mansion.
