Chapter 6:

Chapter 6: Shadowless Assassin

Tiger Blood: Blood Moon Hunter

With a sudden jolt, Jin froze in his tracks, his muscles tensing up as he felt the cold touch of metal against his skin.

"Don't move," His heart raced with fear as he heard the sweet and alluring voice commanding him to stop.

The air was thick with a honey-like scent that he could barely appreciate, given the danger he was in. His senses were on high alert, warning him of the looming danger that could strike him down at any instant.

The scene on the second floor was a gruesome sight to behold. The curtains, once vibrant and colorful, now had slivers of light peering through, illuminating the carnage that lay before him.

The bodies of both humans and bats were scattered across the floor like discarded toys, their once vibrant lives snuffed out in an instant. The stench of death and decay lingered heavily in the air.

Jin narrowed his eyes as the weapon aimed at the back of his head, trying to assess his situation.

A beam of light shone on him, allowing him to catch a glimpse of his attacker's posture.

To his surprise, there was no shadow!

Feeling the gun aimed at his head, Jin's mind raced through different scenarios. The light cast only one shadow, yet the attacker holding the gun appeared to have no shadow at all!

He glanced at his right hand, which held the shotgun barrel with a hidden intention. However, it appeared that his adversary had noticed his move.

"Throw that shotgun, don't even think to resist," a soft chuckle accompanied a threatening voice, halting his upcoming action. The gun was pressed more firmly against his back upon receiving his silence.

Sighing, Jin let out a long breath, realizing he had no other options. He threw away his weapon to the side.

Judging by the situation, the other party did not seem to intend to kill him; otherwise, they would have shot him as soon as he set foot on the second floor.

"Also, why does this voice sound so familiar?" Jin wondered inwardly, feeling slightly suspicious.

Judging from the tone, he was certain the other party was a woman. However, considering the day of his life and the relationships he had, he had never been close to any other women.

Suddenly, the other person began searching his body, and delicate hands slowly removed the ammo pouch from his belt.

"Your body is quite impressive, isn't it?" Another chuckle followed.

Jin's expression turned sour as he realized how foolish he was. However, his eyes widened as he came up with his own plan. He let the other party do as they pleased.

"Why don't you give up your resistance? I can see your eyes are full of schemes, hehe," the person whispered seductively into his ear. But Jin remained calm and collected.

On the other hand, as if the other party sensed Jin surrendering, the gun pressed against the back of his head was slightly retracted. But that was a big mistake.

Swoosh!

Jin, who had been waiting for this moment, transformed his calm and helpless expression into one of fierceness, furrowing his brow.

His body moved with the agility of a trained athlete as he turned around. What greeted him was a slender and delicate waist. The smooth skin and belly button were visible as the other party was wearing a crop top.

However, Jin was unfazed. His eyes emitted a sole focus, and his next move was to push his elbow up and deliver an uppercut elbow.

"Kya!" A low scream was heard from the other party, but it was followed by a gunshot and a tremble that spread to both of them.

BAM!

One of the glass lights shattered, but Jin, who managed to restrain the other party, was now in a reverse position. He forcefully pressed the other party's elbow to their chest and held their neck from behind.

This position brought him close to the other party's face, but it also limited any chance of movement.

"You?!"

Almond-shaped eyes with deep, brown shades and intimidating eyebrows that exuded seriousness.

Her pale, white skin and slightly curved smile gave her an inviting appearance. This was none other than the pretty young lady he met while drinking!

"Hello, handsome Big Brother." The same alluring smile was displayed, along with their close distance and sweet fragrance.

It could drive any man crazy, but to Jin, this smile reminded him of how he almost got into trouble. Now, knowing the other party's identity, he didn't have to show mercy.

"B*tch" Without holding back his power, Jin maneuvered his legs and kicked the young lady's abdomen.

The power of his increased stats surged into his body, making him two or even three times stronger than his past self.

"Aw, Big Brother, you're so fierce and rough," the young lady responded with a naughty tone. To his surprise, the kick that should have landed perfectly was blocked with a pair of delicate hands.

Jin's eyes immediately shifted to the front, only to see his pressing hand gripping empty air. The young lady was sent flying a couple of meters from her spot despite his blocked kick.

The red bruises on her delicate hands caused her to arch an eyebrow as she looked at him with hidden meaning.

"You have no mercy! What have I done wrong to you?" The young lady stamped her long legs to the ground, feigning a pout and attempting to deceive Jin with an indignant expression.

Jin's face twitched at her reaction, but he didn't dare underestimate her strength, as she seemed to understand the function of the game entity just as well as he did.

Their eyes locked onto each other, and silence fell between them. Jin's pupils narrowed as he scanned her body with vigilance, trying to anticipate her attack pattern.

The young lady, who had looked angry before, now revealed a smug expression and chuckled upon seeing his cautious behavior. But both of them knew that this was just a temporary break.

Swoosh!

A gust of wind fluttered against Jin's clothes. He quickly rolled to the side, grabbed the shotgun from the ground, and immediately took a defensive posture, aiming the shotgun at the young lady, who was surprisingly doing the same.

"Oh my, you're so fast. I suspected you were good with women," the young lady's curled red lips and revealing peach blossom mountains were luring his inner desires to come out.

"Hmph," Jin snorted in response. Both of them were locked in a stare down. One shot could result in serious injury to the other.

"Don't you wonder what just happened here?" the young lady asked. She moved her long legs and slowly walked towards a nearby chair, sitting with one leg crossed over the other.

Her relaxed and carefree attitude left Jin speechless, but her question slightly piqued his interest.

"No. Leave your gun, and I'll spare your life," Jin said in a cold and indifferent tone as he advanced towards her, trying to take advantage of the situation.

The semi-automatic shotgun was a close-range weapon, and the bullets were designed to hit a wide target.

Currently, the distance between them was 5 meters, which slightly reduced the damage of his shotgun when fired.

"Hoo, so cold. But I must warn you to stop right there," the young lady's playful and elegant smile suddenly turned into a serious expression as she spoke in a stern and firm tone.

It seemed that the young lady was not as dumb as she appeared to be. Otherwise, how could she have survived in the chaotic situation before?

"Or maybe she's just lucky? Seducing other men to fight for her, and in the end, the men died, and she took all the benefits?" Jin thought inwardly.

Jin had a guess before, if the bats could drop magic crystals, then what about humans? Strangely, not even a glimpse of a magic crystal was found on the human bodies on the first floor.

And this time, even the bat corpses on the second floor showed no signs of magic crystal. He concluded that the young lady had taken all of the magic crystals.

"That's why she could easily block my attack," Jin thought. He was more convinced that she was using a dirty trick rather than her own strength to kill all of the bats.

As Jin's tracks halted, the young lady's playful and mischievous smile reappeared on her face.

"Why are you so insistent on attacking me? I mean no harm," she said, acting like a weak girl and lowering herself while jiggling the two peach blossom mountains and revealing her clear white armpit.

"See, Big Brother, have mercy, please," she pleaded, her voice weak and trembling. Though she lowered her weapon, Jin still had his doubts about her intentions.

He mumbled to himself, "What trick will she play next?" He knew he couldn't fall into her honey trap, but he realized that he had been too cold.

Even though the young lady had already declared herself, he thought he might give her a chance.

Suddenly, an irresistible hunger overcame him, and his vision became a little blurry with a red tinge slowly creeping in.

But just as he was about to succumb to his instincts again, his tight lips let out a drop of blood that fell to the floor. His senses came back, but he felt a little dizzy.

He realized that all of this had happened in just a few seconds when he saw that the young lady was still staring at him, unaware of his abnormality.

"Just a little," Jin slowly lowered his shotgun but kept his vigilance on her. If not for this irresistible hunger, he would not have easily agreed.

However, just as he was about to ask her, a terrifying red glow emanated from the shadow behind her.

Jin, already cautious, instantly raised his shotgun and pulled the trigger.

BAM!

"GRrrr!" a loud agonized groan mixed with the sound of crumbling objects and shouts was heard.

"What the hell is that?" Jin's pupils narrowed as he tried to see through the veil of darkness. But only at that moment did he remember the young lady was also in the line of his attack.

However, upon seeing the empty place where she sat, Jin's eyes instantly scanned the surroundings, but only found a shadow slowly rising from the floor.

"Ahh, Big Brother, what are you doing!" The shadow slowly manifested into a human-like shape, eventually transforming into the young lady.

Only after confirming that it was the young lady did Jin lower his guard and continue to look at this new enemy.

He didn't ask or become curious about the young lady's skills, as everyone, even himself, had their privacy.

The most important thing was the unknown creature before them.

Meanwhile, the young lady was still reeling from Jin's sudden attack. Although her stats were high enough to activate her skills and evade the fatal blow, she couldn't shake off her anger towards Jin.

Jin ignored her hostility and pointed to an object ahead of them. "Look at that. Do you know what it is?"

A creature crawled out of the shadows, its red eyes gleaming. When the light hit it, they could see that it resembled a human with tattered clothes.

Its complexion was pale and translucent, with dark circles under its eyes, and it growled like an animal.

The young lady shifted her gaze towards the creature, her playful demeanor replaced with a frown of concern. "What is that thing?" she muttered.

Before she could answer, the creature let out a feral scream and charged at Jin with full speed. He quickly analyzed its movements, realizing that it was faster than a zombie and could be considered as athletic.

The bleeding creature moved on its fingers and feet, crawling like a four-legged animal. It looked like a ghoul from myth, with a human-like pale appearance, as if it had been sick or in a coma for years.

However, with Jin's enhanced stats, the creature's speed was slightly slow. Just as Jin was about to reload his shotgun, he realized that his ammo pouch was missing from his belt.

"Shit!" Jin cursed and was momentarily distracted. When he raised his head, the creature had already jumped and was suspended in mid-air, just a few meters from his face.

"ARGHGG!" Suddenly, as the creature was about to tear his face apart, it burst into flames. The creature dropped within the range of sunlight that slipped through a gap in the curtain.

It growled in pain before quickly crawling back into the darkness.

BAM!

Simultaneously, a gunshot was heard. Jin looked to the corner of his vision and saw the disgusted expression of the young lady.

"Thanks," Jin commented and shifted his attention. The creature, which resembled a human in appearance, was now lying dead in the shadows.

The burning figure had vanished, leaving only the corpse and the faint light emitted from the magic crystal.

"It's called Blood Slaves," the young lady suddenly spoke up.

"Pardon?" Jin, who was distracted, turned to the side and saw five ammo pouches thrown at him.

"The screen states that this creature's name is Tier 0 - Lvl 0 Blood Slaves," the young lady continued, but her next words caused Jin, who was reloading his weapons and examining the combat experience from before, to fall silent.

"And it looks like all of the corpses in this club are the same creature." Her cold and exasperated tone echoed through Jin's ears as he also looked around their surroundings. The corpses were starting to twitch.
