Chapter 6: I Think I Know Who It Is

~LUNCH~

Alexei was walking into the crowded cafeteria looking around to find Florence.

He spotted him at their usual table, sitting next to Josh across from Justin. As Alexei walks closer, he watched Florence suddenly grab onto Josh waist overdramatically swoon, and kiss him on the cheek.

Alexei blinked....

"What the....."

His stomach tensed up and he gripped the strap of his backpack a little harder.Josh shoved Florence away from him, both of them laughing as Justin yelled at them.

Alexei shook off the strange emotions he was feeling and strode up to the table, plopping himself down next to Justin.

"Sup"

For some reason he couldn't bring himself to look at Florence in the eye.

"Yo, you're finally here! Took you long enough, half of lunch is already over" 

said by Justin to him.

"Yeah, I had to stay late cause I was 

asking the Professor about something"

"You're such a good student"

"Shut up, I just want to graduate"

"Not everyone can afford to be basically flunking out all their classes"

Alexei tosses Justin a pointed look.

"Wow wow, I see how it is"

"You didn't need to call me out like that"

"Mhmm"

Alexei shoves some bread into his 

mouth.

"Xei, are you okay?"

Alexei chews, stalling.

"Yeah"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Hmm...you look kinda off"

"I'm fine. But I think I know who it is"

He found the courage to look at Florence dead in the eye. While Florence eyes widened when he heard what Alexei said.

"Uhmm...you do?"

Justin and Josh are both watching on the 

sideline.

"OMG"

"Yeah, but I can't say it right now"

His eyes dart over Josh.Josh catches him looking and his eyes widen in understanding.

"... okay..."

"Waaait"

"Alexei, what was that look for?"

"What look?"

"You're just imagining it"

"Bro..."

"Florence, you're coming with me"

"Huh?"
