Eh? After not hearing anything in the past few hours this random voice in my head disturbed me.
But more importantly [YES]
Normally I'd be a bit more sceptic but there wasn't much else I could do in this situation.

I can now hear the sound of crackling comparable to fire all around me.
And when the sound finally stops I feel my movement returning and I lift the surface above me.
It turns out I was in a coffin wrapped in paper talisman seals.
My skill looks to have burned away these seals.
Now that my eyes adjusted to the moonlight I could see myself.
I'm ghostly pale and reeked of a corpse.
Not only that, I'm covered in bandages and blood.
A paper seal was attached to my forehead by unknown means and wouldn't come off.
It's all too strange.
Checking out my appearance in a river, there was no doubt now.

I am a zombie.

Aside from that fact, I looked to be in the body of a girl in her early twenties.
I sat on top of the coffin, scratching my head.
What exactly should I do now?
Without a map or anything I can only hope I head off in a direction that's towards a town.
But what about monsters?
I need to find a way to defend myself.
But what skills do I have other than "Mana Absorption" skill?

I hear a low growl to my right.
I stop and stare at the spot I heard the sound from and take a step backwards.
A monster, no doubt
Here it comes!!
A giant wolf pounces from the bushes and just barely misses my face.
It lands behind me, recollecting itself and staring daggers into me.

Alright!
In a time like this..

We run!!!

I run as fast as my legs can take me, climbing up a tree

The wolf continues its pursuit, digging its claws into the bark and slowly making it’s way up.

I’m roughly ten meters up in the air.

I didn’t notice it until now but
This forest is huge!
And these trees are massive!!
No wait, is this really the time to be thinking about stuff like this?

The wolf seems reluctant to climb any further

Is it scared of heights?

I could almost feel sympathetic if he wasn't just trying to rip me apart moments ago.
As he sank his claws deeper into the tree it ended up backfiring and a loose section of tree bark snapped off and he fell down with a thud.

Deserved!!!

It reminded me of the pit-bulls that harassed me in my old life so it brought me a messed up sense of relief.

I climbed down smoothly.

Looks to have been a Class C monster, thank god I didn’t face it head on.
On closer inspection, the voice told me that it was a "Greater Wolf"

A magic circle appears below it and it stands up.
Seems like it had been converted into an undead.
It can do simple commands but I can't converse with it.
I ended up with a new companion.
With a Class C monster to fight on my behalf, I feel more confident.
Along the way, I found a cave.
Looks to have be inhabited by slimes.
With the help of my Great Wolf, I slayed a ton of them.
Why?

BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING TO DO!!

Other than walking, I seriously ran out of ways to entertain myself.
But I did get something very helpful out of it, a new skill that I inherited from killing them.
"Natural Regeneration" or so it says.

My partially decayed body rebuilds itself and many of my bodily functions have returned.
For starters, my voice.
I'm still as ghostly pale, but I'm no longer covered in injuries.
I try regulating my voice but it sounds really off.

"Hel-o.. H-elll-oo.."

Well, I should just be thankful I can speak again.

After so much walking, I can barely feel my legs.
The sun is rising and I still don't see a village.
And I feel a really sleepy surprisingly. 

Looks like this body is nocturnal.
I decided to seek refuge in the cave, the slimes don't seem to be a threat.
And with my Greater Wolf, I feel bold enough.
Hopefully they won't seek retribution for their fallen comrades.
