Chapter 7

The group was moving toward a village outside the influence of the church of Light. The town they were going to is called faystar, which was protected by "Lady Adrasteia," the goddess who is very well known for being neutral and only involving herself when her believers are in grave danger. They were going to that place because the goddess would not let fights happen in her territory. So they thought that they could discuss their next plan of action without any interference.

As they were going to the town they realized it would be a long trip so they started to talk with each other and reminisce about the past. As the discussion is going on Lunarix said to the group "You guys are very special to have someone like Diore being so open with his thoughts and emotions". Marcus then also said that Diore was behaving like a person who has to perform his duty and leave for the first two months or so. "Then after that, he started being nice and to put it in a way he thought of us as family. He even started treating us as a family and he even answered questions regarding his personal life" continued Jackson after Marcus.

Then Elijah asked the group "Guys do you remember the day Diore told us the name of The goddess of Darkness and also about his father?" The group replied yes with a nod and started remembering what happened.

Nine months before the completion of training.

As the Group completed the daily routine for the day and as they were eating dinner Lilly asked Diore " Um Diore we still don't know the name of your mother "The Goddess of Darkness" Can you tell her name ?" with this question being asked it caught the attention of the whole group. Sighing Diore cleared his throat and started "As you know my mother is the Goddess of Darkness, the reason why she did not tell her name is to test you guys whether you guys will be faithful or not even if you know nothing about her other than her title and your connection with her. So her name is "Ravena". I also know that you are curious to know who my father is, he is the God of 'space and time' whose name is "Vorta" and I am their only son." Then Ken asked Diore "Do you have any friends you care about?" Then Diore answered yes by nodding his head while eating his share of fish which were caught by both him and Jackson who was apparently very skilled at fishing. The group got curious and asked about his friend and if they were gods like him. Diore replied to the group with nostalgia lacing in his voice " I only ever had one friend in life and he is not a god but in a way, he is a god. His family is related to gods and he inherited the powers of the crow god and when my mother was about to start to teach me how to control and use my powers. The crow who is a very close friend of my mother arrived one day and said that he has an unnatural amount of affinity to the power of my mother which was shocking because he is not connected to us in any way. It's as if he was my brother but born somewhere else and so she trained the both of us together and my father made him his 'Avatar' which means he will be able to completely inherit his powers with training. So my mother taught the both of us and we became the best of friends and in a way, he is like my own brother. His name is Kizoro Nokaye but due to some personal reasons, he changed his name to Jin Kizaraki."

That is when they heard the voice of the goddess once again "Hmm Diore it seems you finally opened your heart to these guys again and you my dear Apostles have passed my test. I and my dear husband look forward to your Journey and hope you guys will have fun and also do your mission seriously. And remember this all the six of you are like my own children just like Diore and Kizaraki, and look forward to the future because you are going to meet Jin and when you meet him things will become interesting."

Present time

As the group reminisced about the incident that transpired that day, they all had a smile on their faces as they found some more people to call as a family. In a few hours, they reached the gates of the town of Faystar. The entrance was neither grandiose nor very simple it looks like a comfortable entrance to a comfortable home. The town was very peaceful without any outside influence, but the peaceful mood of the group was ruined by the sight they saw in the alley they were passing they saw a group of members of the church of Light extorting money from a poor resident. That is when Ken was about to charge them but he was stopped by Elijah who said it was risky and there might be more of them. After hearing this Ken begrudgingly stepped back and the group left to find an inn to stay.

As the group was walking around the town they saw the same group of church members and they heard them talking that the remaining members of the group which came to Faystar left for the nearest branch and only five were remaining. After hearing this the group silently left from there and soon found a comfortable and affordable inn for which the money was given to them by Diore at the end of their training which was stored in strange artifacts which are rings that were brought by Diore from a faraway world.

As the group got refreshed and ate a satisfying meal they began to discuss about the group of church members that is in the city. As the discussions went on the group was finalized and Sarah was repeating it to make sure they got everything right "So the plan is to have Lilly act like an innocent citizen and ask them to help her get her money pouch back as she says she left it in the forest when she was collecting herbs and thinking that she was a powerless girl so that they could kill and take her money or try to sell her to slave traders they will agree and then Ken and I would follow them from behind then Jackson and Marcus should be waiting at the place Lilly was going to lead them into and we all ambush them and bind them and interrogate them for useful information and as for Elijah he will be in the town trying to learn any useful information." concluded Sarah.

As the group got out of the inn and after some searching they found the members of the church they nodded to each other signaling the start of the plan. Lilly made her way toward the church members looking worried and she asked them "Um are you people from the church of Light?" The group in question answered yes and asked her why she asked that question. Then Lilly with a very sad face proceeded to explain that she left a large amount of money in the forest and she needs it back as she need to buy things because she needs to feed her family. Blinded by their greed for money the group agreed to help her secretly plotting to take all the money for themselves.

After some time the group of church members and Lilly and both Ken and Sarah who are following them got out of the town and Lilly was careful to lead them into the prior planned spot which was a very isolated place in the forest. As they reached the spot the group was ready to ambush the group. They would get the information they want and torture them for messing with innocent people all the while the group of corrupted people will be helpless in front of them as they were Apostils chosen by the Goddess of Darkness and they were unstoppable in this darkness as all of the darkness is their forte.
