Chapter 4:

Chapter 04 Lumi's Pet

Bound by Fate: The Elf's Embrace

Elysara interrupted the sudden tension in the room by placing her hand on Haldor's shoulder. Her gentle voice broke the silence, "Dear, I believe it's time for us to take our leave. Our guest is still in recovery, and we have already imposed upon him enough. We should let him rest. Alitia, my child, you as well."

Alitia's tone shifted to seriousness as she responded, "Yes, of course, Mother."

She bid me farewell with a nod and exited the room, saying, "Get well, Kazuki."

Haldor eagerly agreed, "Hahaha! You're right, my bonnie lass. We shouldnae overstay our welcome. Speakin' o' our guests, it should be about time for the ruler Helen and her spouse Olivia tae arrive. Oh! It's been quite a while since we last crossed paths. I still mind our auld adventures thegither. Helen was a force tae be reckoned wi', nae monster could stand against her battle prowess. And let's not even start aboot Olivia, she..."

Elysara tightened her grip on Haldor's shoulder a hint of jealousy creeping into her voice as she interrupted, "My dear husband, it seems you can not help but daydream about Helen and Olivia at every turn. Are you trying to make me jealous? Or simply mad?"

Haldor raised his hands in a defensive gesture as he tried to explain himself, his voice tinged with a smidge of fear, "Forgive me, lass, I didnae mean tae anger ye or stir up any jealousy. I was simply recalling the olden days, aye? The battles we fought, the monsters we vanquished. That's it."

Elysara's voice regained its usual gentle tone as she addressed her husband, "Let us proceed, my dear. We have guests awaiting our presence."

Then, she turned towards me and added, "Ah, yes, Kazuki. You are welcome to explore the palace at your leisure. I am certain you would appreciate stretching your legs. The servants are waiting outside; you may approach them for any assistance you require. And with that said, I must bid my farewell."

I was a bit relieved when they left, the story went well and they did not suspect a thing. I feel a bit bad about lying like that but if it means to save Lumi from falling into trouble I think I can make an exception. With that thought in mind, I slowly succumbed to sleep.

Alitia stood patiently outside the room, awaiting their emergence. As they walked past her, she fell into step alongside them. Haldor cast off his previous playful demeanor and addressed Alitia directly, his voice tinged with a serious tone.

"Well then, lass. Can we trust this man? It seems he was hardly able to contain himself about being from another world. I just hope he doesn't have any odd ideas, like the one we witnessed a moment ago. I'd say we could give him a good bonk on the head and be done with it. No need to risk putting Lumi in any further danger, ye hear?"

Elysara moved closer, her soothing voice was calming, "There is no need for unnecessary violence, my dear," she calmly reassured. "He appears to be a genuinely kind-hearted person. Moreover, he adeptly stuck to the description presented by Alitia, with the exception, of course, of the unexpected confession."

Alitia expressed her impression of me, saying, "I find him trustworthy. His heart is in the right place. Since he is from another world, his perspective on our races is neutral. He won't hold any particular resentment toward any of our races."

"Well, at least for elves and dwarves. I kind of forgot to mention the other races living in this town," she added.

"Also, he genuinely seems interested in becoming Lumi's friend. In terms of his capabilities, from the brief moment, I witnessed him in action, I could tell he is well-trained in some sort of martial arts. Despite lacking mana and being in a weakened state, he was able to shield Lumi and knock out the assassin in one precise strike. Once his mana adjusts to his body, he will be a valuable asset. Additionally, he appears to be intelligent and quick-witted. All in all, I believe he would be an excellent choice as a guard for Lumi when she attends the Magic Box University in my absence."

Haldor brushed his lush beard as he spoke, "Ye be placing a fair amount of trust in this man, lass. An' ye may be right in yer assessment. I felt no ill intent emanatin' from him. But be not too quick to trust, mind ye. Who knows what he truly is? Bein' from another world and all. For all we know, he could be a serial killer in his realm or, dare I say it, somethin' even worse... a clown."

In the midst of my slumber, I felt a sensation of something walking on me. Tiny paws pressed against my body until finally settled and added weight to my chest. Feeling discomfort, I opened my eyes, only to be startled by the sight of a creature comfortably perched on me. I couldn't help but let out a short shout, "Whaa! What is that?!"

Startled by my sudden outburst, the creature hastily jumped off me, and at that moment, the door swung open, revealing a maid who asked, "What seems to be the problem, sir?" As soon as the door opened, the little creature scurried away.

Upon taking a closer look as it scurried off, I couldn't help but notice the sheer adorableness of the creature. It resembled a delightful fusion between a bunny and a kitten. With its round, button-like eyes, it exuded an aura of innocent charm that effortlessly melted hearts. Its fur boasted a soft, pastel-pink hue, reminiscent of delicate cherry blossoms in full bloom. The fluffiness of its coat appeared incredibly inviting, giving it an irresistibly huggable appearance. Its petite size made it perfect for cuddling, fitting snugly within the palms of one's hands.

"Oh, I apologize for my sudden shout," I calmly explained, my voice steadied. "There was an odd creature here just a moment ago, which took me by surprise."

The maid responded, "Ah, that? It's just Rabi-kun, Miss Lumi's pet. She never keeps him on a leash, and he roams freely around the premises, often causing her trouble. He's a domesticated Razor Rabbit."

"Oh, it's just a pet," I whispered quietly.

The maid inquired, "Sir, may I be of service to you?"

Having been asleep for an unknown period of time, I felt the urge to use the restroom. "Yes, could you please direct me to the nearest restroom?"

After I heard a detailed explanation of where to go I strolled down the corridor, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of the mysterious creature the maid called Rabi-kun, and my eyes unintentionally closed.

Lost in my imagination, envisioning the untamed form of the creature, I failed to notice the approaching presence around the corner. Suddenly, I collided with someone, a jolt of softness pressed against my face, creating a delightful bouncing sensation gently slapping against my cheeks. My nose filled with a delicately sweet scent. My eyes sprang open, revealing the sight before me, my face nestled snugly in the welcoming embrace of a woman's big cleavage.

Her sun-kissed skin was a sight to behold, radiating a captivating appeal. Every inch of her being was breathtakingly beautiful. Her long, lustrous black hair flowed down her back, trimmed with a touch of violet at the tips, adding a unique look. Her piercing yellow eyes, seemingly capable of peering deep into one's soul, held an intensity that left me spellbound.

She stood tall and slender, possessing a figure that bled strength and athleticism. Her physique was well-toned and rippled with muscles, a testament to her dedicated training and physical prowess. She was beautiful but her presence was intimidating, felt like I was standing in front of a monster.

It was my own fault for walking without looking where I go so I immediately apologized. "I am terribly sorry for this accident, I beg your forgiveness."

The woman standing beside her let out a playful, alluring chuckle, her voice laced with flirtation. "Ara ara, young boy, perhaps you should save your apologies for when you finally manage to extract your face from my spouse's tantalizing cleavage. It seems you're having quite an enjoyable time there, but I must inform you that the spot is already claimed. And if you continue to indulge in such playful activities, I might just find myself getting a little... shall we say, upset."

The woman's voice took on a flirtatiously lustrous tone as she finally spoke, her words come out with tantalizing allure. "Oh, I'm certain it was a mere accident. No harm was done. He simply bumped into me. There's no need to make a fuss about it, Olivia."

Her gaze shifted towards me, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she continued, "Having said that, I do believe it's high time for you to unearth your face from its cozy haven nestled between my breasts."

As soon as the name "Olivia" escaped her lips, a wave of realization washed over me. The bust my face had come into contact with belonged to none other than Helen, the ruler of this town. My heart skipped a beat, my mind racing with the potential consequences. My head might roll at such a grievous act against someone of such high stature. Fear coursed through me, threatening to shatter the fragile beginning of my adventure in this brand-new world.

Reacting swiftly, I recoiled, putting distance between myself and Helen. I lowered myself into a deep bow. My voice trembled as I humbly addressed her, "I am terribly sorry for my inexcusable behavior. I should have been more mindful of my surroundings. Please forgive my grievous rudeness."

My gaze shifted for a second to this woman Olivia, she was taller than Helen. Another beauty, she radiated a seductive allure that was impossible to ignore. Her eyes were a fascinating shade of bright green. Her athletic physique spoke of strength and agility, her body honed to perfection. A small, dark, faint heart-shaped tattoo was beneath her eye.

Her dark, shoulder-long straight hair hung on her snow-white saber coat, highlighting the sun-kissed tan of her skin. She wore a long, flowing coat made from the hide of a snow saber, its pristine white color reaching down to her ankles. The head of the fearsome creature had been remade into a hood, wrapping around her neck and shoulders, lending an aura of fierce elegance to her getup. The coat itself was lined with plush, soft fur, offering a touch of luxury.

Beneath the magnificent coat, Olivia donned a short black tight tunic that clung to her flexible figure, accentuating her curves in all the right places. Paired with black leggings, she were sturdy dark brown leather boots.

As I looked at them I noticed that they both had normal ears, so I safely assumed they were humans like me. Suddenly Helen spoke to me, "Young man. If you keep on checking out Olivia's curvy features, I might get jealous."

Unexpectedly, Our comedic antics were abruptly interrupted by a sudden shout, emanating from Lumi who was adorably chasing after the animal I had encountered earlier, her pet Rabi-kun.
