Chapter 46. New student

After arriving home from Vespera, Ken was greeted warmly by his family and spent the time happily with Genesis, Emma and his younger siblings.

Telling them all about his adventures in Vespera and Darrumburgh, Ken was happy to spend some time with his family and just relax without having to worry about the drama with Clare and Luke or worry about how much stronger he has to get so he lives up to people’s expectation.

For Genesis’s birthday party, Ken took the family to town for a nice meal and instead of enjoying the cake at the restaurant, he took the group to a ice cream shop he scouted out while the family was ordering food and having ice cream for the first time with cake was a whole new experience for the children.

“Gwen. Here is some gold. Cake, ice cream, take the family to town, whatever you feel is good alright?” Ken whispered to Gwen while handing her a few gold coins.

“This is so much money!” Gwen whispered back as the rest enjoyed the delicious meal.

“Use it how you see fit. How’s your studying coming along? Are you excited for the selection next year? Emma was able to pass all of the beginners courses while working full time. You all need to really study hard so all of her efforts get rewarded.”

“We are all doing well in school. I feel the pacing is rather slow for me but it’s the only school around so I just have to do more studying on my own. We all know how much you and Emma do to earn the money for us to go to school and get fed so we won’t waste this opportunity.” Gwen replied while stashing away the gold Ken just handed her.

“Yea, I haven’t done much, but Emma is for sure working hard. Oh yea, Julia! How has your training been going? I met this boy in Vespera who is around your age and he is already crazy strong and all self taught!”

As the siblings chatted happily and ate, the night turned late before they eventually got home with the three younger siblings all fast asleep on the carriage.

With Ken, Emma and their mother carrying the three back home, Ken, Genesis and Emma said their goodnight and returned to Ken’s room.

“Emma, can you stay in your own room for tonight? It’s my birthday so let me have Ken please?” Genesis asked in a pleading tone.

“Fine. But don’t do anything naughty or get too loud. If you wake up any of the young ones you will have to answer to my mom.” Emma replied while giving the two suspicious looks.

Giving Emma a big hug, Genesis grabbed Ken and the two finally had some alone time.

“What naughty things did you and Alice do?” Genesis asked.

“Not much, she offered me a helping hand in the shower a few times and that’s about it. She did say we could have done something else, got me curious but then refused to do it. Anyways! It’s your birthday Genesis, so let me know what you want instead of talking about what I want.”

“Let’s do it!”

“It’s your birthday Genesis, why are you offering to satisfy my curiosity.”

“Well Ken, if you couldn’t tell after all this time. I just want to be with you and as long as you are happy, that’s all it matters to me so let me make you feel good!”

Couldn’t refuse her offer due to his own curiosity and lust, the pair spent the night wide awake exploring their limited options.

With Emma back in the mix and refusing to let the two have alone time after Genesis’s birthday, Ken spent the rest of his break being a rather good boy.

Soon, their break came to an end and like the year before, Emma signed up to go back a week early to help with the new students for the extra income and likewise, Ken and Genesis joined her to return back to school early.

“Bye everyone! Take care of mom and do your best with your school work alright?” Ken said to his younger siblings, as they gathered to see the trio off with sad faces.

“Bye Ken, Emma, Genesis! Have fun at school!” The younger siblings all said in unison as the trio got teleported back to the academy common room.

After spending the day together having a relaxed time exploring the small town, the trio had a nice dinner before calling it a night and got ready for the busy day ahead with the new class of students.

“Morning Genesis.” Ken said sleepily as she came to grab him to head down to the stadium to welcome the new students.

“I wonder if Candace got selected and if there are any other cool races.” Ken wondered.

“Would you rather Candace make it or see a few new cool races.” Genesis questioned.

“I mean, I rather see both. You know I don’t like to choose between things and just want it all.”

“Yeah yeah, greedy Ken, can’t ever be satisfied with what you already have and always wants more.”

Arriving at the stadium, the pair sat together discussing their plans for this year as they waited for the new class to arrive.

“You know Genesis, if you don’t pass advanced this year, you would probably have to go back to Miodod to be with my family and I will only get to see you twice a year.”

“Don’t be silly, I will just do what Emma is doing.”

“Yea, no matter how nice Agnes is, I doubt you will last more than a week before getting fired.”

“So mean!”

“Genesis, this is coming from a place of love. I want you around if you couldn’t tell and I’m trying to make sure you don’t end up going anywhere.”

“I got it! Space magic counts as master level right? Even when it’s a basic element so I just need to imagine it, I will be good for years right?” Genesis proclaimed happily.

“And how are you going to imagine space when you can’t see, hear, feel, touch or taste it? You know how the guy who enchanted my necklace said how he learned space magic? He was divine at math and science and who knows what else and after understanding some crazy advanced equations and formulas, he suddenly had a realization and was able to conjure space magic from those equations he learned.

How are you going to do that Genesis?”

“Ken. They just lack imagination. How hard can it be to imagine space? If you aren’t next to me, I will just imagine the space between us to disappear and I should be able to use space magic. Simple right?” Genesis replied like learning space magic is no big deal.

“HA! Good luck with that Genesis. If you could make that work. You might as well be the greatest genius to have ever lived. The only option is probably just to get a room in town when you get expelled so I could at least still see you daily.”

“The fact you are doubting me this hard is actually making me want to put in the effort!”

“Good! I want you to stay, Genesis!”

Suddenly, a flash of bright lights activates the runes that were drawn on the arena and before their very eyes, about a thousand individuals appeared out of thin air. Most of them are standing next to their fancy luggages and wearing their best suits and dresses to make a good first impression.

Not wasting any time, Ken and Genesis got to work as the pair joined the rest to get the selected from class of 2002 registered.

Looking around to see if he could spot Candace, the crowd was simply too big and after a while, Ken went back to just concentrating on registering the new students as fast as he could so they could start their exams and he could get his free lunch as early as possible.

“Name please.” Ken called out like he had done for the past 30 minutes.

“Your name please?” Ken asked again when he didn’t get a reply.

Getting annoyed that he wasn’t getting a response, Ken looked up just in time to see a mass of flowing beautiful blonde hair and a girl’s lips pressed tightly against his own.

Not sure what was happening, Ken gently pushed the girl off his lips and was stunned to see the beautiful girl staring at him with her purple eyes.

“Cecilla? How?” Ken wondered in amazement to see the elf princess in the flesh.

“Just register me so I can get the tests over with. We can talk all night!” Cecilla answered happily while Genesis looked on with envy.

With most of the students already registered and backstage taking their written exam, not many witnessed the little stunt and Ken quickly got Cecilla registered as she headed to the backstage cheerfully to get her written exam completed.

“She really is beautiful isn’t she. Definitely didn’t expect to see Cecilla getting accepted and now having to compete against her.” Genesis commented as Cecilla disappeared backstage.

“There is no competition, Genesis.”

“Not for you since you don’t care as long as a cute girl is able to satisfy you. But we all want to spend as much time with you as possible and with this many girls and only so much of you, of course there will be competition.”

“Sorry, I am also seeing how hard it is to balance things with too many girls but when I see a cute girl that draws me interest, I just can’t help it.” Ken replied while also feeling the increased pressure from having so many girls around.

“Just don’t end up with too many girls for you to handle and everything spirals out of control. Don’t forget you are still dealing with the issue with Clare. With Cecilla around, I think it will be even worse for you to deal with.” Genesis offered some much needed guidance.

While the two chatted about the different solutions to resolve the issue with Clare, Ken saw Cecilla walking back out after only 30 minutes and much earlier than anyone else.

“Are you already done?”

“They only let us take up to advanced level, I hope the physical portion would at least let me go all out.” Cecilla replied casually like the test was way too easy to satisfy her.

“I know you were supposedly the better of the two sisters but what level are you at exactly?” Ken wondered.

“I am above master level on all subjects.”

“Master? You were supposed to be in our class right. how is that even possible!” Ken shouted in amazement.

“I was above expert level when Clare was barely above advanced when she got selected and I didn’t. If I wasn’t so depressed for the past two years, I could have probably gotten to divine level by the end of this year but it’s fine, I am too gifted to let that stop me from making it to the top!” Cecilla answered confidently.

Watching Cecilla easily obliterate all of the physical tests, Ken finally had a slight understanding of why Clare would feel threatened by Cecilla’s existence.

With her easily finishing the entrance exam with record breaking scores, Cecilla began to explain how she ended up getting selected with Ken and Genesis listening to her story while also trying to do their job as score keepers.

“After you left, because I failed to be of any use to him, my father stopped providing me any money. I was getting the same treatment that his non-royal kids get. Basically, I had access to free food and housing but all other privileges I had before were taken from me.

I knew he would never take me to the tournaments again and I had no way of affording a teleport stone to visit myself. I was lost, I missed you, I wanted to be with you but I didn’t know how it was possible.

Then one day, I ran into my uncle Zishell and asked him if he could take me to the academy and he asked me for what reason did I want to visit the academy.

I told him I have found my reason to live and he said if that’s true then I should have no trouble making it here myself.

I was confused by what he meant but one day I realized the only way I could come here without any help from anyone else is to get selected.

I guess I was under so much pressure and expectation that when I was at the selection with Clare, I somehow ended up unconsciously suppressing my max potential.

My uncle must have known about it since he wasn’t surprised at all after I got selected and with Clare losing to Luke and her improvements stalling.

My father seemed to see my usefulness again and is providing me all the money I would need for school and that’s how we got to meet again and be together from now until forever!” Cecilla replied while clinging onto Ken.

“Wow, I have heard of people getting selected when they are older but never knew one could even suppress their potential. Just how many people do you think have failed just like you did?” Ken wondered.

“Probably on one else. It’s not something people could just do. I was already at expert level and advanced enough where my subconscious desires held me back. Someone like you who had nothing could never achieve something like that.” Cecilla teased.

“Nice. Thanks for your vote of confidence!”

“I wasn’t trying to be mean! I was just saying I doubt anyone else was advanced enough to forcefully restrain their potential!

But anyways, when Clare comes back, you really need to teach her some manners. She was so mean to me! I kept asking her about you and she just kept ignoring me. She won’t talk about you, doesn’t want to hear about you and was terrible to me the whole break!” Cecilla whined.

“Well, ever since her birthday, she has refused to talk to me and it’s been half a year and she still won’t talk to me.” Ken replied sadly.

“She’s still not over that? Maybe she is just done with you? Good for me if that’s the case, one less person to take your attention away from me.”

Telling Cecilla that he will never give up on Clare, the trio met up with Emma when the new students finished up their exams and everyone got teleported to the dining hall for a nice lunch.

“Well Emma, not sure if you have met Cecilla in person before but here she is and she will be with us from here on out.” Ken explained to Emma as the group met up.

“Hi Cecilla, I have heard a lot about you from Ken, hope we can be friends.” Emma greeted Cecilla gently.

“Hi Emma! Nice to meet you! And you too Genesis! I know neither of you are probably happy that I am in the picture but what can I say, we are all in love with Ken for one reason or another. I am sure we all want him for ourselves but I doubt that’s ever going to happen so let's try to get along the best we can!”

Agreeing with her assessment, the three chatted and tried to get to know each other better while telling Cecilla about the other girls she will eventually meet and Ken became the fourth wheel and was just there to enjoy all the delicious food.

Heading straight to the staff facility after their lunch to check on available private rooms. Cecilla was pleased to learn that there was one top room available in Ken’s common room.

Not going to pass on that opportunity, Cecilla happily took the room and registered Ken and the two girls. After everything was set up, Ken led the way as the group walked towards the common room Ken had spent the past two years getting familiar with.

“You know, I have never been inside a private room yet. I wonder how it compares to my dorm room.” Ken wondered while thinking back his cramped free dorm room with the two extra useless beds.

Reaching the top floor of the common room, the hall consists of three private rooms.

“Clare’s room is the left one. Alice is on the right. I guess the middle one was always open.” Emma explained.

“Is Luke staying in another common room? I would have assumed he would definitely be in one of the top rooms.” Ken wondered out loud.

“Must be, we only ever see him in the dining hall and elsewhere, if he was in the common room, I think he would have harassed us even more.” Genesis observed.

“This freaking dorm’s got a living room and 4 bedrooms?” Ken said in astonishment as they got inside of the beautiful room.

Beautiful decorations, fine china, the dorm is large and stylish and could easily have 10 people living here without it feeling crowded.

“I barely have any walking space in my cramped dorm! No wonder people with any money would choose to pay for a room instead.” Ken complained after seeing the difference between what he has and what the rich got to stay in.

“Alright girls! I know it’s a lot for me to ask but I can have some alone time with Ken? We haven’t seen each other for over six months and I really would like to have some alone time with him.”Cecilla pleaded.

“I don’t care what you two do, I am not leaving.” Genesis replied showing no signs of wanting to leave.

“I would rather not leave unless Ken wants me to leave.” Emma added.

“Ken. Can you tell them to give us some alone time? Just today at least! If they really want to watch us make love that badly then fine but at least for today, I want to have you for myself.” Cecilla turned to Ken trying to get him to make something happen.

After much pleading from Ken, the pair finally gave in and agreed to let the two have the rest of the day together alone.

“I will bring you two some dinner later in the evening.” Emma offered.

“Thank you Emma!”

“Which room do you want, Ken?” Cecilla asked as they checked out each of the rooms.

“Whichever you are in obviously.”

With Genesis and Emma out of the room, Cecilla wasted no time at all picking the room she wanted and the pair got busy.

“Out of 10, how much did you miss me?” Cecilla asked.

“10”

“How much was me, how much was the sex?”

“All 10 were for the sex.”

“KEN!”

“I mean, I have constant attention from so many girls every single day but I couldn’t make love with any of them so it’s definitely been a struggle.

Obviously it’s a joke and I have really missed you alot but I can’t deny that the fact we had sex made me miss you that much more.” Ken answered honestly.

“Do you see me laughing?” Cecilla retorted.

While the pair spent the entire afternoon and later that evening getting intimate and only stopping when Emma got them some food for dinner.

The week went by fast, especially for Ken. Couldn’t get enough of Cecilla, even with Genesis and Emma staying in the same room and never letting the two be alone, the awkwardness of having an audience while making love never quite disappeared but he couldn’t control his lust to do anything about the situation.

“Ken. You got the money, can’t you just pay someone to have them remove it. It’s only a divine level protection, and shouldn't cost more than a few gold coins.” Genesis complained on the Sunday morning before school started while watching the pair doing the deed.

“Cecilla, can you remove it please. With both physical and elemental at master level, you should have no issue breaking it with a combo attack.” Genesis pleaded.

“I am not going to share Ken willingly.” Cecilla replied, showing no intention of wanting to help.

“Sorry Genesis! I refuse to waste money on that. I will go take lessons on boost once class starts, once I can boost, I will break it for you myself.” Ken replied confidently to the disappointed Genesis.

Finally getting out of bed with Cecilla, the four went to the dining hall for breakfast and half way through, they were joined by the rest of the girls and Alice was not happy to see Cecilla.

After Genesis told them what had happened, tension was high and Ken was at a loss on what.

“Alice, can’t you just pay and have the protection removed for all of us? Cecilla’s been going wild with him every single day and I can’t take it anymore!” Genesis complained.

“I can do it for you but no one will remove mine! People know if they remove a protection from a noble or royal when it’s not at an official wedding, it’s because the girl wants to elope with a lover and the person will most likely get tracked down and be held responsible!” Alice said while giving Cecilla dirty looks.

With Clare not in the picture for the past half a year, Alice had clearly taken the lead on the hierarchy amongst all of the girls but with the sudden appearance of another Yelwraek princess who not only has superior grades than even Clare but was also the one who took Ken’s virginity. Alice was not happy with how things turned out.

While Lovetta was shocked to see Cecilla and likewise not happy with the current situation, she missed Ken more than anything else and was just happy to be close to him after being apart for a whole month.

“Ken! I missed you! I got my dad to promise that he won’t kill you so come visit during our next break!” Seraphina said happily, not flustered or caring about the situation.

“I hope you had a great break, Ken.” Indra said softly.

“Did any of you see Clare?” Ken wondered after greeting all the girls.

“She was not in a good mood. I tried to say hi to her and she pretty much just ignored me.” Seraphina replied while the rest shook their heads and informed Ken that they have not seen Clare yet.

Decided that he would go see her later and try to talk to her again, Ken hoped that the rest of the girls would figure out amongst themselves how they want to handle the sudden appearance of Cecilla while his mind went back to wanting to get stronger but only because he wanted to break the protection as fast as he could so he could make love with the rest of the girls.
