Meeting the Lizard girl

My life with the Lizard girl

Eh? Where's everyone else??

He looked around but he couldn't find his friends anywhere. Everyone around him was too busy with the festival.

Don't tell me I got lost in thoughts again and got separated with everyone!?
He didn't know what to do now. He couldn't possibly find his friends in such a crowd. So he decided to buy something to eat and leave if his friends don't come back.
He bought a lot of stuff and was looking for a place to sit down and enjoy his food, when he saw something strange. He was shocked at this girl walking like an animal. No, not an animal!! As most animals walk with their limbs under their body. It was more like an insect. Like a lizard.
What's wrong with that girl!?? Is she not embarrassed by walking like that?
He thought but he didn't care much about someone else. He didn't want to get involved with such a strange person. He just thought how embarrassed he would be if he had to do that.
Well, that's not my problem. Let's go eat this!
He thought looking at his food. As he was about to leave, he felt something grabbed his leg. He looked down. It was someone's hand. He was scared to turn back.

"You human! Do you have any food? can you give me something to eat?”

He heard a girl's voice. He turned around it was THAT girl. Her voice was too scary and she looked really hungry. He felt as if she'd eat him if he doesn't give her anything to eat.

Ehhhh??? Someone help me! This girl!! She's so creepy!!!!

"You? Are you deaf? Can you hear me? Do you have any food?" She said with the same creepy voice.

"Ahhhhhhh.. Yes! " he was too scared "Here you go.. you can have all of this! Just don't eat me please" he said that nervously and ran away.

"Huh? What's wrong with all of them? Why are humans so strange?" Said the girl as if she wasn't a human herself.

He was running while looking back if she's coming after him or not, as bumped into someone. "Sorry" he said. The guy turned back and said "it's okay! Huhhh? Ryuta?" "Shin?" he was surprised to find his friend again.

"Ryu, you stupid! Where did you go? We have been looking for you everywhere!!" Said the guy named shinji (aka shin, ryuta's best friend)

"Shinnnn!! I'm so glad I found you guys again!" He said almost crying.

"What are you? An elementary school kid who lost his mother in a festival?" Said a girl standing next to shinji, named Akane.

"You'd be scared too, if you know what kind of person I saw just now" Ryuta said.

"Hmm? I doubt that. You get too scared at nothing" said akane.

"Well, we don't call him crybaby for nothing" said shinji.

"Shut up" said ryuta.

"Wanna buy something to eat?" Said shinji.

"Sure. Let's go.. I'm really hungry."

I knew it.. whenever I go out to enjoy, weird things keep happening to me.. I should've just stayed at home. I'd have watched so many animes by now. Or at least, had my lunch bye now..At any rate, I wouldn't have to run this much if I was at home.

"Ryu? You'll get lost again!" Said shinji

"Shut up! I'm coming!" Said ryuta.

They bought some food and went to eat. "We should sit over there! That's a good spot to see the fireworks!" Said shinji.

"Fireworks?" Ryuta asked.

"Yes? Don't tell me you forgot!"

"I- I didn't know."

"How's it a summer festival without the fireworks! I can't believe you didn't know!?? Ahh anyways let's go over there!"

"Okay" said both akane and ryuta.

They sat down and started enjoying the food. "You know what ryuta? We played a lot of games!! It was so fun but unfortunately we didn't win anything.. but who cares.. haha! And you know-" shinji wanted to continue but ryuta interrupted "you guys were having fun while I got lost???" "Of course, we did" replied akane. "You expected us to look for you all the time and waste our whole day?"

"What great friends you are! I was dying over there!! You didn't care at all??"

"You are not a kid, you know that right?"

"I- I'm not.. but still"

"Stop fighting you two" shinji said and then looked at ryuta "will you let me continue? We saw Aoi - san earlier.."

"Aoi - san??" Ryuta asked.

"Look how his expression changed when you mentioned aoi - san" said akane

"Shut up akane!"

"You can't change the fact that you like her by shutting me up though?" Said akane

"It's.. it's not like that.. I.. don't like her in that way.. uhh it's more like I admire her? I guess?" Ryuta replied

"Ah I see.. do you know she was with her boyfriend?"

"Wha-??? Bo- boy- boyfriend???"

"See that reaction, shinji. And he still won't admit it"

"Now now, akane. Don't tease him like that. Look his face is all red" replied shinji.

"I hate you two!!!" Ryuta got angry and turned his face the other way. "Huh?" He looked surprised.

"What wrong Ryu?" Asked shinji.

"It's nothing.." he replied. He saw that girl again. She was trying to walk on two feet now. She looked like she was trying to copy how other people around her were walking. But she couldn't walk like humans that easily. She got out of his sight. Ryuta got up.

"Ryu? What's wrong bro??" Asked shinji

"I'll be right back" he replied.

"Where are you going?" Shinji asked again.

He didn't say anything and left.

"Ryu? Oi? Oi Ryuta?? Bro can you hear me? I asked where you are going?? Oi Ryu!?" Shinji kept asking until he got out of their sight.

"He's a weirdo.. let him be" said akane.

"But-?" Shinji wanted to say something but akane said "maybe he saw aoi - san?"

Both laughed.

"Bet he'd freeze the moment she talks to him" said shinji.

"Haha you are right!" Akane laughed.

While ryuta was looking for that girl.
