Chapter 51:

Chapter 51. Exchange

Zero to Hero (Prequel/prototype)

“It’s time to say goodbye to Ken everyone!” Gwen, the big sister who will be 15 soon said to all the younger siblings as everyone gathered around to see Ken, Emma and Genesis off once again.

With how short their breaks were and all the traveling Ken has been doing. He really hasn't spent too much time with his family. But thanks to the money he and Emma are providing them, all of Ken’s younger siblings were able to enjoy the last few years like how a child should while also able to go to school and get more educated.

“Well everyone, we will be going now. Take care of mom, be good to each other and study hard.” Ken said to his sad siblings as the trio began their teleportation.

Arriving at their familiar common room where Ken will now enter the second semester of his third year. The once unfamiliar and foreign building is now like his second home.

“KEN! Did you sleep with Seraphina?” A bossy voice demanded and it was no doubt Alice.

“Of course he did. You see how often we do it. No way he can go a whole month without having sex now.” Cecilla replied as the girls gathered together.

“Hi Lovetta! How’s Zeev and Ruth doing? Did everything go well? Did they have a son or a daughter?” Ken ignored Alice and Cecilla while asking Lovetta about her brother.

“Healthy boy! My dad was very happy. They named him Keev.” Lovetta replied happily while giving Ken a kiss after missing him greatly from the month long separation.

“Ah Keev! Must be named after me! He will grow up to be big and strong then.” Ken said happily.

“I am sure the baby’s name had nothing to do with you Ken. Now you should answer Alice’s question.” Clare decided to join in the conversation.

“Nope, I did not end up sleeping with Seraphina because her dad would have murdered me but I slept with someone else.” Ken answered.

“WHAT! Why didn’t you tell me you slept with anyone else!” Genesis jumped into the conversation out of nowhere after hearing Ken’s sudden declaration.

“Seraphina, you want to tell them who I slept with while I visited?” Ken asked. Sending the attention to Seraphina and off himself.

“I know nothing! I barely even got to see you! Who did you sleep with? Angelica? She didn’t even seem like she wanted to talk to you! Don’t tell me you slept with one of the other girls I told you that are already taken!” Seraphina replied, as confused as everyone else.

“KEN!” Alice yelled while Emma and Indra stayed quietly but definitely wanted to know who the girl was.

“I slept with Irad for an entire week!” Ken answered truthfully.

“Isn’t Irad a man’s name?” Indra asked in a soft voice.

“That’s my brother!” Seraphina shouted and caused even more uproar.

“Right. I had to sleep with Seraphina’s brother all week because they had guests over. Every night in bed, I had to turn and face the cave wall and whisper to myself that I am not in bed with a girl and have to stay still. Thankfully, Seraphina’s dad works me so hard everyday that I am dead tired by night and was able to prevent myself from getting embarrassed.” Ken answered with a smirk.

Suddenly grabbing Cecilla, Ken started running away from the rest while carrying the elf princess up the staircase to their suite while the rest quickly followed behind.

After the girls reached the suite, they obviously walked into a Ken in action with a whole month of pent up lust on full display not caring who was watching.

“If you just spend a few gold, you won’t have to go a whole month wishing you had someone to put your thing in.” Genesis commented while looking at the pair enviously.

“Soon enough Genesis, soon enough. I need you all as motivation to finish first in the tournament. But Seraphina. If you want to join.” Ken replied.

“I will pass. I want my first time to at least be alone and just the two of us not having a whole audience watching.” Seraphina replied in her normal happy tone.

“I didn’t even know she never had the spell forced on her! Oh well, not like I will ever let Ken leave my sight so no alone time for you two!” Genesis commented as the girls started to settle back down and get their things in order for the new semester to start.

After some hot and passionate love making, Ken was finally satisfied and was able to join with everyone else as they spent the day chatting and talking about how their breaks went before heading down to the dining hall for some lunch.

“So. How did it go, Clare? Were you able to convince your father?” Ken asked as the group got their food and settled down.

“No. Xandrian and his family visited and wanted to set up an official wedding date. I tried to tell my father that I wanted to focus on studying to aim for the rank 1 hero but apparently I just don’t have the talent that Cecilla does so I couldn’t convince him. I was barely able to get Xandrian’s family to agree for our wedding to be after this semester is over.” Clare replied sadly, not sure what she should do.

“Don’t worry about it. I will figure something out before then or just come home with us when the semester is over and never go back.” Ken answered, trying to comfort Clare.

“Clare! As someone who shall be my wife soon. Do you really think you should keep on acting so friendly with this human commoner?” Xandrian’s annoying voice could be heard from behind Ken’s head.

“Xandrian. You need to stop with your fantasies. I have already told you a million times that you will never have me.” Clare replied, looking at the elf noble with annoyance.

“Half a year Clare. Half a year. No matter what excuses you try to make. Once this semester is over. I will be in Yelwraek to take you home. Enjoy the last few months you have left with your little human toy. You are lucky I will be busy with the exchange program this semester. Human. Keep your hands off my wife or I will make you pay.” Xandrian threatened as he walked away with some groupie.

“Well, you heard the man.” Clare replied grumpily as Xandrian disappeared from the view.

“Don’t mind the idiot. I will figure something out before the year ends. What was he talking about with the exchange program though? Never heard of that before.” Ken said, more interested in the exchange program.

“When you have reached master level. Since that seems to be a pretty big barrier for most. The school would offer exchange programs where they would cover the expense and you can go to another school or go train with special individuals.” Cecilla jumped into the conversation.

“Are you doing any exchange program Cecilla?” Ken asked, hearing about the exchange program for the very first time.

“Not yet. Maybe next semester if I can get my uncle to spare some time and train me.” Cecilla replied.

“So maybe I should do some exchange next semester too. But isn’t it weird that this is the best academy in the world yet people exchange at other schools?” Ken wondered, not sure if he understood the whole concept.

“Not everyone is here just to get stronger, Ken. Some people like Lucia who you are always flirting with are trying to be an ambassador so they would probably do exchange programs to understand different countries and races.

Others who are learning history would do exchanges to different countries to understand their histories. And just because this school has the top professors doesn’t mean it’s the best in everything.

You yourself said Lovetta’s dad and Seraphina’s dad are stronger than anyone else you know right? Wouldn’t you find it helpful to train with them for an extended amount of time if possible?

There are also some very gifted teachers that refused to teach at Dragonspire because they didn’t have the potential as students. That giant grizzly beastman you love to talk about from the tournament. I know one of the professors from his academy was heavily recruited by Dragonspire but he refused to leave the school that trained him when he wasn’t selected by Dragonspire.

Even in Yelwraek, the national academy in the capital where the students are the ones that couldn’t make it to Dragonspire. They would get some training from my uncle Zishell now and then. Don’t you think doing an exchange there and hoping to learn from the number 1 hero would be beneficial? ” Cecilla added as Ken listened in amazement.

“The more I learn about the world, the more I think this academy is nothing but a scam.” Ken replied.

“You get the best of all worlds stupid. You get to make the connections you want, if you care about studying, you get some of the best professors and if what you need isn’t here, they will pay to get you what you need. What more can you ask for?” Alice replied.

“If you put it that way Alice, I guess you do have a good point. I guess before I even talk about doing any exchange, I should get to master level by the end of this semester so I have a chance to beat Luke” Ken replied.

“Who do you think you are? No way in hell some commoner like you could ever beat me.” A voice whispered into Ken’s ear from behind as all the goons decided to show up at the dining hall today.

“Oh, hi Luke. Hope you had a great break. I might not have a way in hell to beat you but I think in the tournament it won’t be that huge of a task.” Ken replied confidently.

“Don’t get way over your head, commoner. Just because you have gotten stronger and think you can beat the elf now doesn’t mean you will be a match for me.” Luke said while keeping up his typical fake smile.

“I mean, what you are saying doesn’t make any sense Luke. Clare has beaten you in most of the tournaments, if I surpass her, I don’t see how I could ever lose to you.” Ken answered while looking at Luke confused.

“The elf is no longer a match for me, that's what I am saying. I got some one on one training with Julius over the break and let me just say this. My growth from now on is not something a random commoner like you could match.” Luke smirked and spoke with confidence as he stared down on Ken.

“Stop looking down on him.” Lovetta snapped while getting into Luke’s face.

“Get out of my face mutt. Remember what I said before. You will get what’s coming to you.” Luke threatened as he pushed Lovetta aside and started to leave.

“I got some pretty good training too. Let’s have a good match at the tournament Luke. I fully intend to win this one for many different reasons as well.” Ken replied while holding Lovetta down as Luke and his goons walked away ignoring Ken’s declaration.

“off to a good start to the semester aren’t we?” Clare commented.

“Everything will work out! Why is everyone so tense already!” Ken commented, trying to get everyone to relax so their new semester doesn't start on such a tense note.
