Chapter 11:

Chapter 11: The Bad Summary

Gates of Ardion

Upon hearing the sound, Solo quickly looked around, and as he turned to see what was behind him, he could see a kid standing behind him, looking up into Solo's eyes.

"Ardion..." Stated Solo as he glared back at the boy.

"Good to see you again, but I have noticed that you have changed your name, so I take it instead of Adam; I should call you Solo, right? Anyway, it seems you are quite confused as to what to do and how you came to this predicament. I am here because there are a few things which I believe you want to hear, correct?" Said the boy, with a childish tone.

"That is correct; you DO owe me an explanation!" Replied Solo coldly.

"Alrighty, in that case, let me start, as it seems you don't quite like me for some reason. The reason I brought you here is simple; entertainment and research." Started the explanation Ardion but paused and just smiled.

"Continue..." Demanded Solo with a cold tone and glared into the boy's eye while slightly leaning closer to him.

"I thought you wanted to start by asking questions, but sure, I will start from the beginning then. The game, titled Gates of Ardion, I believe it is no surprise if I tell you that was heavily influenced by me. The sole purpose of that game was to find a suitable candidate to participate in my entertainment and experiment; that individual is you, Solo... "

"My experiment is nothing special; I want to see your and mostly this world's reaction. You can do whatever you want; you can start your own kingdom; you can dominate this entire world, or you could even eradicate everything if that is what suits your taste. However, I have to warn you. Although the average level of the world is relatively low, you can never know what comes next..."

"Of course, I am not going to share my real plans, only bits and pieces of it, but since you piqued my interest, I will tell you one thing. A countdown has been initiated the moment you woke up in this world; when that countdown reaches zero, the final, planned obstacle will appear in this world; should you accomplish MY goals, I will reward you; I will allow you to return to your original world... But be prepared; an opened gate may never be truly closed ever again!" As soon as the boy said that, the same cracking sound could be heard, and the boy vanished.

"Explanation, my ass! You just confused me! Well... At least I know I can do whatever I want... Still... He barely shared anything! He is just toying with me! It felt as if he was just saying a few points about the situation without proper explanation. FUCK! This is infuriating!" Mumbled Solo as he kicked the frozen ground.

Although he didn't put much strength into kicking the ground, he did manage to draw a line into the solid ground and sent the dust flying away at high speed.

"Arise!" Stated Solo calmly.

A few moments later, a purple pulse erupted from his body, and the now shattered corpses were tainted by that purple energy. The piles started melting and created a large pool of purple liquid around Solo. Then, the purple liquid started bubbling and shaking.

"This is... Well, I thought the remains would just simply spawn a new body... But I did not expect that they would turn to liquid... Will they even regain human forms?" Contemplated Solo as he was staring at the bubbling liquid.

Soon the liquid calmed down, and then it started taking up forms resembling a human body. Solo raised his eyebrows while he was observing one of the figures. In a few seconds, the liquid completely took up the shape of a human body, and then the purple colour disappeared. The whole process took almost a minute, during which the newly resurrected humans completely woke up and regained their human colour and human shape. Just like before, everyone had purple eyes.

As soon as the process was finished, the naked humans kneeled up as they awaited Solo's orders. Solo looked around, and among the kneeling men, he could see Ruion, who was the only one who still had rags on his body. As soon as Solo laid his eyes upon the demihuman, he started grinning.

"I have a brand new idea!" Thought Adam.

"Sir... Thank you for the fresh set of armour... And for saving my life! Fayn should already be back at the base with the collected information!" Said Lulu, who just walked out of the forest, wearing the newly given armour.

"I see; everyone can go back to doing their own things; I have no use for you yet. As for you, Lulu, we are going back; come here, we are going to teleport... I have a few matters to attend to!" Declared Solo as he gazed back at Lulu.

"Right away, sir!" Replied the girl instantly.

Lulu quickly rushed over to Solo; meanwhile, the men around Solo all slightly bowed, and then they all stood up and walked away.

"I really hope Arise works as it should... They should be loyal to me, but their personality shouldn't have changed... Well, we will see how things turn out!" Thought Solo.

He soon looked at the girl beside him, who was smiling brightly and was very happy since she was given a new set of armour. Solo took a deep breath and gently put his right hand on top of Lulu's head, causing her a great deal of surprise. Lulu's face slightly turned red, and she started fidgeting with her hands.

"This...this was the second time...And in such a short amount of time? Am I really worthy of such reward?" Thought the nervous girl.

In a few seconds, Solo finally opened his eyes, and suddenly purple energy surrounded them.

"This is new..." Mumbled Solo quietly as they vanished from the forest.
