Chapter 0:

Prologue

Sacred Sorcerers of Virtue Vault

In a land, far far away, mankind was bestowed upon a magical force called ”fyx.” By using fyx, people were allowed to do things beyond mankind’s inherent capabilities. Some used it to help others, some used it to save lives, while others used it for personal gain.

Ever since the emergence of fyx, society was then divided into two. Those who chose to reserve their fyx power were called civvie, while those who chose to wield it were called fyxie. One in every 5 fyxie was born as a Sorcerer, a person with an inherent ability which allowed them to manipulate elemental sorcery without any medium. Meanwhile, the rest of the population relied on specially forged weapons to properly manifest their fyx, called as Knights.

Every fyxie had their own unique skill that overarched their set of techniques according to their fighting style. Just as there were as many people in the world, there were as many fyx skills that existed in the world.

In the year 1004, a boy named Haru was born. He was born and raised in a small town known for its religious teachings. This town— much like everywhere else in Virtue Vault Federation— utilized lumina sorcery, which was the power to manipulate light.

As a federation, the Virtue Vault was divided into states with a state governor as their leader. However, there was no single leader in this nation. Political matters were discussed in a decision making body called the Temple, which consisted of the most important figures of the nation, coming from different sectors.

As a theocratic nation, the nation had a symbolic figure of head of state called the “Premier(e).” He or she was the embodiment of the true messenger of God as the reincarnation of the first human of the nation.

After years of being undiscovered, the Temple finally installed a new Premier, a boy named Haneul. He was Haru’s brother, born and raised from the same town as him.

After more than a decade having been separated with each other, it was Haru’s ultimate dream to reunite with his long-lost brother.

Now that the two had grown into two distinct individuals, would the two brothers recognise each other?
